A truly Parisian getaway...

Review Submitted: November 10, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
My girlfriend and I wanted an apartment that would give us a taste of Parisian lifestyle... and this property did not dissapoint! Located perfectly on the fringes of Montmartre, we were only minutes from fantastic cafe's, varied restaurants and of course, Montmartre village itself. The apartment was easy to find, spotlessly clean, kitted out with all you could need for a weeks stay (including a real coffee machine) and the handover process couldn't have been simpler. For two, it's perfect but for any more guests than that you had better know each other well... if you don't, you soon will after a stay here. Yes, it's not overly spacious but what it lacks in space it certainly makes up for in charm. The lounge is marvellous with fantastic balconies overlooking the street, the bedroom is fine with one corner housing a sink and shower unit. The kitchen is big enough for one... but who comes to Paris to eat in!? We tended to walk every where so after 8 hours exploring the city, the 90 odd stairs to the apartment could seems challenging but on the plus side, you will definitely burn off the calories from all the baguettes and pastries consumed. Don't hesitate to book this apartment, you will not be dissapointed.

5 year wedding anniversary in Paris!

This apartment was everything I expected and more. My husband and I had a lovely time staying here and would gladly recommend it to friends and family. It was bright, welcoming and wonderfully clean! Yes the kitchen is small (but my husband managed to produce some wonderful meals anyway) and yes the shower was in the bedroom but my goodness, what a shower! I thought everything was perfect and watching So You Think You Can Dance dubbed in french (Tu crois que tu sais danser?) was hilarious. For a small apartment there was more then enough storage space and the tall french windows and quaint balcony really set the "true Paris" mood. And last but not least the stairs. Yes there are alot and after walking around paris all day they were quite a challenge but the cozy apartment at the end of the day was the perfect reward.

Time of our lives

Myself and my wife stayed at this apartment for 1 week commencing 20th June 2009. If you want the true parisian feel then this apartment delivers and ticks all the boxes. The location is perfect with shops of every nature very closeby. The nearby metro station is about five mins walk away and the metro system itself is very efficient and easy to use. Montmartre is a lovely area and has a village feel to it with a whole host of cafes, bistro's and restaurants. The apartment is on the fifth floor and is not suited to the elderly or people with disabilities, the stairs up do keep you fit.! If you were wishing to cook within the apartment, take note that the kitchen is very small, there is a fridge, microwave and a very small 2 ring ceramic cooking hob on top of the bench, there is no oven. Why go all the way to paris though and cook your food when there are so many fantastic places to eat good food. Paris is truely the most captivating city i have ever seen and stayed at, both i and my wife had the time of our lives !!

We had a lovely time in Paris, the apartment was typically Parisian and the location was superb. Some fabulous shops for food in the rue Damremont. Spiral stairs up to the 5th floor will keep you fit! It was small but comfortable, the only downside was the signal for the TV - we never worked out how to tune it in.

I stayed here with my mother for a weekend. The apartment was great, a classic Parisian apartment with balconies and charm.

We really loved this apartment -- in a cute neighborhood within walking distance of Montmartre, but far enough off the beaten path that we felt like true Parisians ... lots of cute, non-touristy restaurants and shops nearby.

Not a huge apartment, but perfect for a couple, with kitchen, spacious living room and balcony. Caveats: shower is in the bedroom, which we thought was unusual but didn't bother us, and it's 5 flights up with no elevator, so you'll get your exercise.

Definitely recommend staying here!

This apartment provided an excellent base for a holiday in Paris. The kitchen is tiny but adequate and the layout of the bathroom a little odd with the shower in the bedroom, butwith a separate toilet it all worked well for the 3 of us staying there. Five flights of stairs up to the apartment gives you a workout but for the price this apartment was excellent value. The very French decor was tastefully done and made the most of the main room. The immediate area was ok but only 10 mins away it was the fabulous Montmartre area. The cafe at street level was great if you didn't want to go far.

We stayed in this apartment in the spring and it was a delight. It was better than depicted in the photos on the website and surpassed our expectations. It was ideally located to take advantage of local sight-seeing points, yet was residential enough for us to get a real taste of living amongst ordinary Parisians.

The apartment was spotless and very well maintained. We would recommend it to anyone. But it is worth bearing in mind that it is on the 5th floor (of a narrow, circular staircase) and there is no lift (part of it's charm, I suppose!)

Nevertheless, I would recommend it for anyone looking for a romantic get-away.

This is a perfect Parisian apartment, just as we imagined.
It is located in an ideal spot, only a short Metro ride from all the famous sights of Paris. There is a bakery, butcher, greengrocer and supermarket within minutes, if not seconds, of the apartment. Perfect for breakfast croissants and pain au chocolat!! La Poste cafe/bar on the ground floor is excellent, with very friendly staff. Ideal whether you want a three course meal or just a coffee.
