Lovely apartment in Bologna

LilyM Moscow, Russia
Review Submitted: May 22, 2008 Date of Stay: February 2008
I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 weeks in March 2008. It was truly a home away from home. It was 20-minutes walk to the center of the city. The owner had a care basket for me on my arrival with some food, coffee, water and snacks to help make the first some days easier. She had books, maps and tourist information regarding not just Bologna but other areas of Emilia-Romagna. They are nearby and available if there are any questions or concerns. The flat has everything you might need, full kitchen with every utensil/cookware you might need. The bedroom is comfortable and has lots of closet space. The desigh of the flat is very elegant. I can't say enough good things about this flat or the owner who was truly helpful, kind and caring. I'd like to be back!!!
But if you are planning frequently travel by railway you need take into account - way from flat to train takes about 55 minutes.

A very nice flat which dosen`t get to warm even if it is hot. Green and beautiful areas nearby, and relativley short time for reaching the city center. The only thing I missed was a little bit strongerwireless internet connection - it was quite slow. All together very recommendable!

Ideal base for exploring Bologna

Karen & Keith Suffolk
Review Submitted: March 10, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
This apartment is an ideal base for which to explore Bologna and the surrounding cities. We stayed for one week and although the weather was not kind to us had a wonderful trip. Michelle the owner is very kind and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. She had provided some local produce to start us off and even made us a cake. Nothing was too much trouble there are plenty of maps and guides to inspire you if you dont already have plans. The apartment is compact but warm and well furnished. You can easily walk into the city centre and being only 20minutes from the airport means you don't have to have a car. If you do hire a car beware parking is a bit of a nightmare. Parking is in selected areas in the main road and the Italians are not the most considerate drivers or parkers. This trip was a Birthday present for my Husband who loves cars, Lamborghini, Duccati and the Ferrari Galleria are all on your doorstep and all worth a visit. This was our first taste of Italy and I certainly hope it wont be our last.

Comfortable and cozy

Three travelers New York, NY, USA
Review Submitted: January 13, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
My family of three had a wonderful time in this flat. We used it as a base to explore Bologna as well as some neighboring towns. It was always pleasant to come home to. Michelle, the proprietor was very helpful and accommodating. It was a great place to spend Christmas and New Year and have home cooked meals with fresh foods from shops right on our street! It was clean, warm, bright, and located within minutes by bus of the main piazza in Bologna. Walking was possible but was slightly longer and since it was cold, we often chose to take the bus. We took a taxi to the airport when leaving; it was only 15-20 minutes away, and for the three of us was a much better choice than going to the airport by public transportation, because there wasn't a big cost difference. I would recommend this place to any friend who was looking for an apartment in Bologna.

Best stay in 3.5 month trip!

hopenm Albuquerque, NM
Review Submitted: January 1, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2008
After travelling throughout Europe for 3.5 months and staying in about 12 different apartments, believe me when I tell you you will not find another apartment owner as genuinely caring and helpful as Michelle. In addition to the above and beyond hospitality Michelle provided, the apartment was cosy, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was great - well equipped with yummy treats waiting. The best part was the Nespresso machine - what a perk if you like good coffee! The apartment is well-located - in a nice local neighborhood with great fresh pasta, pizza and gelato shops nearby (and nothing in Bologna is too far for a nice walk). Take the walk to the Sorbeteria Michelle suggests - it's worth the trip!

A Wonderful Base in Bologna

Tjan Toronto, Canada
Review Submitted: November 13, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
This apartment was our third stop on a very focused tour of the Veneto and Emilia-Romagna. We have stayed in many such apartments in the past, but few have been as comfortable, convenient, and as welcoming as Michelle's flat in Bologna. Everything in the description is completely accurate, but does not do justice to the small details that Michelle provides to provide both a personal touch and practical comfort. Fresh breakfast food, home-made jam, a personal laundry service to name a few. Michelle goes to extraordinary lengths - from first contact- to ensure that your stay in Bologna and area is as good as possible. In our case for example, she found someone willing to provide lessons in hand-made pasta and she provided many helpful hints on wonderful places to eat, shop, and tour. All in French, Italian, or English ( or all 3 at once in our case) - your choice. This apartment is a real find and we look forward to future and longer stays here. Bologna itself is a somewhat under-played city to visit in Italy. From a base like Michelle's flat you could easily pursue cooking classes, language classes, and enjoy life in a truly wonderful Italian city.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at CasaCorsica in Bologna and we would recommend the flat. Excellent value for money and very friendly owners. We particularly appreciated the hospitality and homely touches within the flat, including the CDs and books.

Excellent stay and wonderful owner

I highly recommend this apartment to anyone interested in visiting the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The apartment is well-equipped, with linens, towels, entertainment, and a well-furnished kitchen. We used this apartment as a base to explore the culinary wonders of this lovely region, and had wonderful experience. The owner is extremely helpful and provided us with service that was far above any received at other such holiday apartments.

Great base to explore Emilia Romagna

Bob4 Newcastle upon Tyne, England
Review Submitted: July 10, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
This is a lovely apartment in the suburbs of Bologna - about 10 minutes by regular and close-by bus service into the centre. The apartment is attractively furnished and decorated and has all that you may need. So much to see in Bologna and, for day trips, Ravenna, Parma, Modena are within easy train-travelling distance. Michelle is most welcoming and helpful and booking with her by email was so easy. We were really impressed and can recommend the apartment without reservation.

Execellent place for Sightseeing Bologna,Firenze

Very nice place in excellent order. The owner provided very good customer service. Helpful, generous.
With 15 minutes walk to piazza maggiore or bus just outside the flat it's an ideal place for visiting Bologna. Or take the bus to the railway-station to visit Firenze, Venice.
If you have a car it is easy to park on the deadend road outside the flat. I highly recommend it.
