It was our first stay in Nice and we had a wonderful time in this lovely apartment. It was clean and very comfortable - perfect for couples.
And it is located in the heart of Nice - not far away from the beach, restaurants, the bus stop to the airport, the train station, which we used to go Monaco and Cannes. Also the old town is within walking distance so that you need no car. We felt very comfortable and would come back any time!

Cozy Apt and Great Location!

LNR Boston, MA / USA
Review Submitted: October 24, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
This was our first stay in Nice (myself and 4 other girls). We chose this apt because we were not renting a car and it is a cheaper option than any of the nicer hotels. Even though we did not have a car, we were able to go on many day trips (i.e. Eze, Monaco, Cannes) because we were so close to public transportation. The bus is only 1 euro!!

We utilized the internet cafe next door and made several trips to the bakery (delicious!) across the street. The airport is also only a 20 min bus ride and goes right along the promenade so you have a great view of the ocean on your way. The public beach is only about a 5 minute walk as are various restaurants and shops. Great for a small group of girls, or a young couple.

While the apt accommodated the four of us fine, it might be a better fit for two people if planning to stay in the apt for a longer period of time. We were not there very often so it worked for us. We utilized the air conditioner at night which worked great as well as the laundry machine, though we weren't sure how to use the dryer. It was extremely clean and well kept when we arrived. Towels were set out for us on the bed upon our arrival.

The logistics of booking the apt were not difficult; the owner is very responsive and organized. There was only a small bump in the road when we thought we would not receive our keys in the mail on time but everything worked out. Otherwise, we received our deposit back almost immediately.

Overall, we had a fantastic time and I would definitely recommend staying here if you go to Nice!

Nice, clean, well furnished apartment

This was my fourth stay in Nice since 2000, each time previously I had stayed in the old town/port area so I was curious as to whether I'd like this location as much but it is very convenient for everywhere. The apartment is clean, modern and has everything you would need for a holiday stay. As I am a runner and ran daily the washing machine was exceptionally useful so I didn't accumulate a mountain of very wet used gear. In retrospect I could have brought half the luggage.

Great location, can walk to everywhere; for further afield use the buses; one euro each way, we went to Monaco for the day, takes about 30 mins on bus. Lots of pavement cafes/restaurants, esp in Old Nice. Apartment was lovely, main bed up on a mezzanine floor, but it was very bright and airy. My son had the sofa bed, which was huge when pulled out [kingsize] and very comfortable. Washing machine was a bonus, wet towels dry overnight on airer, if you leave the window open and turn off air con. Big window, so good breeze if you dont like air con. Kitchen well equipped; towels and sheets good quality; Very quiet in apt block when we were there in July.
Lots of great patisseries, try the fig tart, yummy. Good supermarket on Rue Gambetta, good for drinks, bread, fruit and veg etc.[ 10 min walk from apt]. Nice is lovely, no trouble at night, no unruly behaviour, felt very safe at night walking around, my 15 yr old son loved Place Massena, lots of foreign teenagers congregate here to chat, and watch street performers. TIPS, you can drink the tap water; bring some CDs and DVDs; and beach towels; make use of the washing machine, and travel light. Nice is expensive , but there are cheaper options, if you stay out of the really touristy places, but it is WORTH IT! We had a great holiday and will be back.

Terrific Location

QLD Australia
Review Submitted: July 26, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
A great location from which to explore all Nice's fantastic sights. We spent a week based here and appreciated it's central location. It is exactly where you want to be!

Everything is within walking distance - the old part of Nice with it's narrow streets & markets, the tourist shopping & restaurant areas, the train station, the downtown shopping and the promenade on Nice's balmy evenings.

The bus to the airport (No. 98 - €2 p/p) is also close by on the Promenade Des Anglais, and there are many supermarkets in the area.

The apartment was very clean and well presented. Although it sleeps 4, it is probably more suited to a couple for longer periods of time, as the second bed is made up from the couch in the living area.

I probably wouldn't recommend the apartment to more elderly guests as the bedroom and bathroom are located in the loft area; accessed by a steep spiral staircase, up which you need to carry your suitcases. The toilet is located on the lower floor.

The air conditioning was appreciated, as was the washing machine with our stay being at the end of a UK/France trip.

All in all, a great place to stay and the owner responded promptly to any queries we had when booking. Thoroughly recommended!

Perfect getaway in Nice

DCR London
Review Submitted: June 24, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
I was in Nice on a girls holiday for one week, we chose to stay at Rue de la Buffa. On arrival the place was extremely clean and well maintained, bright and airy. The bedroom and bathroom are beautiful. Had all the facilities we needed.

The location of the apartment was perfect. We were walking distance from everywhere, the promenade, shopping, Old Nice, the bus station, train station, which both have excellent links to Monaco and Canes, Italy, and Grasse. Everywhere is very well sign posted so it is straight forward to find your way around. The tourist information building is also very easy to find and they speak a range of languages there.

There is a lovely bakery round the corner from the apartment which is perfect for breakfast. The internet cafe next door to the apartment came in very handy.

The service we had when arranging to go to Nice from the owner was second to none, called us on arrival and on our return, he was never too far away if we had any queries, directions were excellent also.

There is always something to do in Nice, places to visit and plenty of restaurants, will have to sample more on our return. There is also opportunity to experience the night life or to have quiet evenings in, enough variety to cater to everyones taste.

Will definitely be returning to stay at this apartment in the near future.

A stones throw from ... everywhere!!

I travelled to Nice - hand luggage only - for a long bank holiday weekend with my girlfriend from Thursday 21st May 2009 until Tuesday 26th May 2009.

Avoiding the bank holiday helped keep the flight costs to a minimum.

The administration procedures for reservation/deposit/final payment/key collection were extremely efficient.

The apartment is a short bus journey from the airport (few Euros) and an even shorter walk from the bus-stop in Nice!!

Entering the building was straightforward - the actual apartment was exceptional.

Very clean and extremely functional.

The mezzanine floor with the double-sized shower cubicle was a real treat.

We never cooked in the apartment itself - though there was a fully equipped kitchen (with fridge and washing machine).

There was a lovely choice of 'eateries' within walking distance - we tasted a different style of food every day; but must return because there were so many more restaurants to tempt us

We bought fresh croissants from the local shop on a daily basis - we also purchased bottled water too.

NICE was a lovely and lively focal point for our weekend break - the promenade was 'alive and kicking' through to the early hours - BUT there was no noise when back 'home' in the apartment.

We visited CANNES on the bus - a single Euro each way/person - the film festival was in full swing - yachts filled the harbour - I could not see any signs of the credit crunch here.

The same could be said of MONACO - we visited this place via a very clean and punctual train which travelled along the coast - absolutely beautiful.

Our weekend had sunshine throughout - rain clouds appearing just as we boarded the bus to return to the airport.

I/we would definitely return to NICE; but only if these apartments were available - they were perfect as a base - and very reasonably priced.
Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your review of the apartment. I hope you visit again soon.

Relaxation in Nice!

Review Submitted: May 20, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Both my partner & I enjoyed our 5 night stay in this apartment. It was spotlessly clean and much more spacious than we had imagined. There were plenty of utensils in the kitchen and we were able to make good use of the fridge!
The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room in the shower. The only criticism we would have is that there did not seem to be an extractor fan in either the shower or seperate toilet.
Apart from this, we would recommend this property without hesitation and hope to return in the future. It was definitely a super find and within walking distance to all the nearby restaurants and shops.
Owner's Response: Thanks for your comments, i am glad you enjoyed your stay at the apartment. The extractor fan needed to be switched on. I have informed the Syndic.

great location

I rented this apartment in April and I must say the location is great. You are 5 minutes from the beach, surrounded by restaurants and there are many shops and amenities near by. The apartment is very cute, its a nice building. You have everything you need to cook a meal should you wish. Its a good neighborhood and its about a 15 minute walk from the train station.

Couple things to note: if you are traveling from out of the country you will find that the dvd is formatted for European countries. So if you have a different format the dvd's won't play. There are only a few channels on the tv so if you don't speak french you may learn quickly by watching local tv!

Also there is no dryer. But there is a laundromat near by. I discovered both of these things while being cooped in the house by a serious rain storm that lasted all day.

Its a great place, I would stay again.
Owner's Response: Thank for your review. I and glad you enjoyed your self in Nice.

The location was perfect for the beach, restaurants, sightseeing - only a short walk to a variety of different areas of a beautiful city. The 10 minute walk to the station was also ideal for catching a train to Monte Carlo, only a 20 minute journey. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed and was a perfect size for a couple. Fantastic weather and stunning architecture make this a wonderful base for any kind of holiday in the Cote d'Azur.
