Krakow apartment

We had a week in this apartment and couldn't fault it at all. It's very spacious, the windows are huge and make it very light and the bedrooms are comfortable and bizarrely have paintings of Richmond park on the walls! Kitchen is lovely, was clean on our arrival and boasts an array of utensils meaning you could happily self-cater for the duration of your stay, although we chose to eat out. We had to buy bin bags and washing powder etc though. The coffee machine suffered heavy usage and was easy to operate for a bleary-eyed caffeine fix in the mornings after a few Zywiec the night before. We were there at the tail-end of winter so didn't use the balcony but it would be a nice facility when the weather warms up a bit. Living room is huge and provides a great space to pour over the guidebooks while planning your activities for the next day. The iPod docking station on the HiFi was a nice touch but the piano is in dire need of a tune!. The best thing about the apartment though, is the location. You can be in the main square of the old town in less than ten minutes walk, or in Kazimierz - the Jewish quater - even quicker. Krakow is a beautiful city and our stay was made even better by choosing such a great apartment. On our return there was no problem with getting back the deposit cheque promptly.

Krakow apartment in Boguslawskiega

Stayed for a short few days in early Sep 09 - self, wife and daughter. Good points - Rafal the owner was very responsive sorting out our stay at short notice, the apartment was comfortable and spacious, and very well located for old town, Jewish quarter, castle and river - not far from any of these. Several great eating places quite near and two handy shops for provisions. What was not so good - the shower (it's a great bath but a basic shower) and the building work nearby which started at 6am. Also the taxi driver from the airport couldn't find the street, this was just bad luck! Summary, we had an enjoyable stay and I recommend the apartment to others.

Fantastic city apartment

The flat is located in the perfect position to enjoy Krakow from. Simply 10 mins walk to the main square and also the Jewish quarter it is located in a quiet residential street. Whilst the lady meeting you doesn't speak English, the flat is clean and spacious and everything is easy to find and work. We are a family of 5 (2 teenage girls and a boy of 5) and there was plenty to do and see in Krakow. One warning, if you're not good with steps then the 72 to the 3rd floor might be a challenge.
Rafal, the owner, was helpful and checked everything was OK.
Highly recommend and will return for a short break in the winter. Thanks for a great flat in a spectacular city!

Wonderful Krakow

We've just returned from a superb holiday in Krakow. Our week got off to great start when we arrived, tired from the airport, and climbing the stairs, to find this jewel of an apartment. It is in such a great location for exploring the city by foot, was absolutely spotless and contained everything we needed for a great holiday. Rafal has really made a comfortable home from home...we absolutley loved the place. For the two of us, the apartment was huge, but would be very comfortable for up to 6.

We appreciated Rafal phoning us prior to leaving for Poland to make sure we were OK and we were greeted on arrival and shown around the apartment. Milk and water had been provided for us on arrival, together with some lovely fresh coffee which we enjoyed all week. There are plenty of nearby stores which provide for self-catering. We took some CDs and DVDs to play in case rain stopped play and enjoyed having this facility.

This was our first ever city break type holiday and so we weren't sure if the city would provide enough attractions to keep us interested...but fear not-Krakow is an amazing place and we would love to go back again.

We had booked 3 tours using krakow-tours.com. The visit to Auschwitz made such a sad and lasting impression, we would highly recommend a visit. A guided cycle tour of the city was great fun and we think this is definitely the best way to get to know the city, including some of the outskirts across the river and Schindler's factory.

We ate out most days and had a pick of a vast number of restaurants providing a huge variety of cuisines.

This has been a very memorable holiday for us and we highly recommend this apartment. Enjoy!

Spacious elegant apartment which does exactly what it says on the tin. Highly recommended and I'd definitely go back next time I go to Krakow.
Owner, Rafal, is a joy to deal with and helpful over and above the call of duty.
Krakow itself is a wonderful city; better than Prague in my opinion. Great value for money too, but go before the euro replaces the zloty.

What a beautiful place! The location is unbeatable. The apartment is well appointed the rooms are huge. We stayed for 6 days and made use of the excellent kitchen. It was very short walk to Old Town. A nice grocery store is right around the corner. I highly recommend this apartment and its owner Rafal. Thanks again

My wife and i stayed in this lovely apartment for one week in mid may. The location is absolutely superb and as stated in previous reviews bang in the middle of the city with everything at close quarters. We found the apartment to be large, full of character and you wonder if the walls could speak what historic detail they would be able to tell you. A great apartment. We would definately stay here again. This is a City centre apartment with City noises all around although, apart from the building work going on close by, the accomodation we found very peacefull.

Krakow is a fabulous place and as such we didn't cook at all in the apartment apart from toast in the morning. We ate out all the time as the prices are excellent value for money. If you are interested in history, second world war, churches, friendly people then this is the place for you.

We found the owner to be very helpfull, phoning twice before we travelled to explain everything and also on our return home, also prompt refund of deposit.

Fantastic Krakow

Review Submitted: June 2, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
The apartment is situated in a fantastic location right in the heart of Krakow and easy walking distance to all the sights, train station and buses and trams. The owner provided great customer service calling us twice before we left to confirm details and checking after our stay that all was o.k. He even accommodated our early arrival and arranged for us to drop our luggage off early while Maria kindly made up the rooms etc. The property is clean, well maintained and very spacious, great for a family with three teenagers.

There is some building work happening in the adjacent block but it didn't really worry us (the chemist down the road has a ready supply of ear plugs for light sleepers). For the unfit or lazy you do have to climb 72 steps to reach the apartment but again this was not a problem for us.

Although there are good cooking facilities we didn't really use them as we ate out most of the time, the only thing that is probably lacking is a couple of big bowls for salad/fruit.

This is an ideal apartment for anyone wanting to have easy access to this tremendous city without the need of a car. We would definitely book it again.

Fantastic 4 nights in Krakow

Review Submitted: May 21, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
This was my first time to book apartment from Holiday-Rentals website. Everything went excellent. After I had wrote my inquiry to owner it took only a few hours when owner phoned to me. He sounded so nice person and very helpfull. We made a deal and spend 4 nights on May at his lovely apartment. We like to send special thanks to his assistant Maria! Oh, how punctual she was at that last morning we left. It was very important that we did not have to worry how to get at airport. Maria helped us to phone taxi. I like to recommend this apartment all people who like to live at city centre and like to have space around. Every tourist sighseeings are very near. Only some minuts to walk. And the street was very quiet - no traffic noice or night clubs.
