Nov. 07: The best equipped property I have rented.

Bill G. Camberley
Review Submitted: April 28, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2007
The property is by far the best equiped that I have ever rented. The Apartments are situated in a safe and secure complex, with a pleasant swimming pool and games area making it ideal for families with children. The view from the terrace is fantastic. The town of El Campello is a ten minute drive away with an excellant sandy beach and a good selection of cafes and restaurants to choose from if you prefer to eat out (which I do). All our shopping was done at the supermarkets in El Campello, which again offers a wide variety of foods and goods. I look forward to booking at Cala D'Or Apartments and visiting the area again next year.

Owner's Response: We're delighted that Bill and his family enjoyed their stay at our apartment. Bill's views echo many positive comments we have received from all our guests. Whilst El Campello is also accessible by both bus and tram, there are also shops and restaurants nearby the apartment itself. Please contact us if you have any questions about our apartment. We look forward to hearing from you.

Great holiday at your apartment

Review Submitted: August 29, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
We really feel this apartment deserves comment. Lovely airy and light apartment with gorgeous views of both sea and mountains. It was really modern with absolutley everything you would need and more, which was really helpful with a small baby. The building itself is really clean and new, the pools are great and there is a really clever shaded area which is an unusual feature for apartments, really useful when its mid afternoon so you can stay out all day if you wish, especially with the kids.
El Campello is a short drive away and there is a good taxi service which we used. Its a lovely place, with really good choice of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops you are spoilt for choice . It is a really fun and cosmopolitan place whilst still retaining it's essential Spanish feel. Its not overdeveloped and the beach stretches for miles, plus you can find some really pretty little coves if you explore. We can't wait to return next year we did not want to go home, you will not be dissapointed..

Girls Geteway

The apartment had everything we needed and more for 6 people, 6 of everything (eg glasses) in the kitchen, a spacious balcony and 6 spaces in the beds. Even though one of the beds is a sofa bed its just as comfy as the other beds. The apartment was extremely clean and organised, which made it easier for us to keep it clean and tidy. The apartment was more than we could ask for for a holiday for 6 18 year olds as at such a good price we got a stunning view, a comfy aparment and a luxurious pool. The lifts around the apartment made it easier to keep on visiting the pool from the apartment and would also make a stay at the apartment easier for disabled people. As we did not have a car we had to travel by public transport. The bus was easily accessible from directly outside the apartment, which came promtly at every hour. The bus was extremely helpful as it dropped us outside the beach in el-campello, outside the beach in el-poblet and the tram station which took us to both Benidorm and Alicante. The only problem with the transport was the time of the trams which didn't fit well if we wanted a night out in Benidorm, as the trams did not run through the night, however we still managed to overcome this obstacle by staying out all night, which due to the lively nightlife in Benidorm, was not a problem at all :) There were also many attractions in the nearby towns to the apartment such as aqualandia in Benidorm which we visited, an extremely fun day out however make sure it is a sunny day as it is not as fun in the cold! Finally the extra little touches made to the apartment made our stay more enjoyable such as the DVDs, CDs, which made some of our nights in the apartment, as we particularly enjoyed relaxing to music on the balcony, and the information pack which was particularly helpful to newcomers staying in this area.

Relaxing family vacation

m&d in Germany Baden-Wurtemburg, Germany
Review Submitted: June 26, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
We got just what we wanted-a relaxing time with sunshine and palm trees. The apartment was very nice, comfortable, well stocked, and had a great view to the sea and the mountains. We had all our meals out on the terrace. The complex is very clean and well maintained with friendly residents both short and long term. In addition to all that was listed there was a new gym facility with shower and sauna. The tennis court was not in use due to recontruction of the foundation behind the property-the only draw back to our time. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pools and we spent most of our time out there. We had beautiful hot sunshine and perfect temperatures in the shade. The owner was very helpful in getting our booking in order and everyone there on site was friendly and helpful. There's a little cove down in Venta Lanuza with a bar/restaurant with mostly English speakers and a shelf of books- if your looking for something to read bring along something to exchange. The beach in El Campello was nice as well with perfect water temperatures and some good shopping. The lift for the Castle in Alicante is not working at the moment but you can drive up on the other side-or just walk around the beach/marina and take in the atmosphere. Although we made plans to see things in the area we were really content to stay close by and enjoy the pool/sea. We will recommend this to friends and hope to return another time to stay here and see more of the many sights near and far and once again enjoy the sunshine and palm trees.

i was a bit hesitant about booking an apartment as we have always had villa's but i can safely say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment.we are a family of 4 with two very young children of 7 and 4.We made good use of ALL the facilities ie the communal gym, pool and football court.(we didn't get to use the tennis court as some work was being done to it).I cannot recommend this apartment enough its practically a "show house" the wife has actually taken down some of the names of the furniture from the labels and we are looking to purchase them from the UK ikea. The only moan we have is of the 7 days we stayed we only got 4 days of sun ,the rest was overcast but warm ..(which on reflection was best for the kids). We will be booking this apartment again in the near future and we are already missing the view from the terrace.A.D from Epsom

1 week in this apartment in March 08

The apartment is good value for money and is excellently placed for exploring the area. A car is recommended. We went out of season so didn't use the pool as it was too cold, but it looked clean and well maintained. The apartment is well caterered for although towels are not provided so you will need those. Other than that there is everything you need. We were caught out by the boiler a couple of times as it's not that big and hot water seemed to run out quickly. The apartment is modern and clean and prefectly fine for a family of four.

Owner's Response: We are pleased to confirm that in response to guests comments we now supply bath towels for all guests during their stay.
Spanish hot water cylinders seem designed to cater for short (cool) showers! (Not surprising given the usual climate!)

Great apartment and we loved El Campello.

A modern and airy apartment, fully equipped with everything you need. The views are great - fantastic to get up early and have breakfast on the spacious terrace (easily seats 6) and watch the sun rise over the sea and mountains in the distance. El Campello is a small bustling town with a super beach and nice sea-side bars and restaurants and lots of playgrounds for the kids. Detailed instructions for driving around the local area are supplied with the keys - you'll never get lost going to the shops! Plenty of ideas are supplied in the apartment for places to visit and things to do which was very helpful. We'll be back (in a few weeks to be precise!).
