Elysium 5* getaway.

Nathan-James England
Review Submitted: October 5, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
This really was a 5 star holiday right from the start. The airport pick up was invaluable and instantly took away the stress of finding your own way.
The luxury apartment was fully kitted out. We had everything we needed and more. The build quality, and the furnishings were second to none. This place has the perfect combination of an authentic Greek look and feel, with a British build quality and finish. Gemma and Dez have worked incredibly hard to expel the normal experiences I had come to expect from the average holiday ( I.e poor showers, faulty hardware, and overdue maintenance! ). The Bathroom was better than most back home, everything worked as it should, and I didn't see a single thing out of place the whole time I was there!
The view was incredibly impressive, and as nice as the pictures look on the website, they don't do it justice.
Gemma and Dez were always on hand and made it their mission to please, in a chilled and non-intrusive way. If only everyone put that kind of effort in to customer service!
I would recommend the Elysium to anyone and everyone. Seriously, stop your searching and just book it!

Toller Urlaub mit kleiner Familie

Review Submitted: October 29, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009

HALF-TERM TONIC

ROSIE SMITH ASHFORD
Review Submitted: October 28, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We have just returned from a week at the Elysium Apartment, and would endorse everything that has been said in other reviews. Gemma and Des did all they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible, greeting us at the appartment, helping us settle in with the very well thought out welcome pack, and throughout our stay with advice and suggestions.
The appartment is splendidly kitted out, very spacious, immaculately clean and well-appointed. The views are exactly as on the website ,if not even better in the flesh, and a tonic to wake up to and come back to after a day out.
We were unlucky enough to suffer the heaviest rain EVER......13cm in 43 hours of virtually non-stop deluge, but even so Gemma and Des were on hand to make sure we were OK. All of this as they were in the process of moving appartments themselves made it all the more remarkable. They put their guests first.
The out of the way beaches were splendid and the sea crystal clear and beautiful to swim in even in late October. We were greeted at restaurants as valued customers and offered extras on the house in most, with a cheery smile and courtesy.

I can thoroughly recommend staying at Gemma and Des' beautiful appartment, but do make sure you get fit first as the driveway and 80 (yes,80 )steps to get up to the appartment will take its toll. After 3 days we were as fit as fiddles!! The view is WELL worth the climb.
Thank you Gemma and Des for everything.

The Perfect Holiday

Pete. Leicester,England.
Review Submitted: September 28, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
The apartment really is home from home everything you need for the most relaxing of holidays. We could not fault the property it simply had that five star feeling. The fitted kitchen was exceptional and although we did not spend alot of time cooking the facilities were first class. Our hosts kept the apartment spotless,it is well maintained and the garden area , especially the view ,have to be seen.
Des and Gemma, our hosts, felt like one of the family and their hard work and customer care deserves the highest praise. The local tavernas, all within walking distance, served super food,Spiros,Oasis ,and The Greek Way were our favorites .There are a few supermarkets nearby which are fairly well stocked and all the swimming pools are open to the public. The walk from one end of the village to the other is a must do, ending up at the small monastry,it does get a little crowded but the flowers and views are beautiful. We did not hire a car, everything is really so near by;we only wanted a lazy holiday;but maybe next time ,a car for perhaps a couple of days would enable us to see some of the neighbouring small villages which are mentioned in an information folder inside the apartment. My wife and I have visited several of the Greek islands and must rate this apartment, the food, our hosts, the weather and without a doubt the location as the best. We have already recommended this property to friends and hope to return It was, for my wife and I, The Perfect Holiday.

Luxury ground floor apartment

Review Submitted: September 8, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
"We stayed in the Elysium Luxury apartment. It was absolutely beautiful
with everything you needed to make your stay more enjoyable,it even had a quiet fridge! The apartment is on an elevated position with stunning views of the sea,a small beach and vast amounts of greenery.Des and Gemma, the owners, were fantastic hosts and are on hand everyday tending to the three apartments, the grounds and their guests. There isn't a poolat the property but that isn't a problem as you can use all the pools and sunbeds in the area free of charge. There is a wonderful Taverna near the apartments called "Spiros Taverna",which serves fantastic authentic Greek food.We became regulars here and got to know the very friendly staff. We had a most enjoyable time here and would recommend the luxury apartment to anyone wishing for a holiday in Paleokastritsa."

super holidays at Elysium

Review Submitted: August 22, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009

Elysium apartments, Corfu

Kurt and Diana Canora, Saskatchewan, Canada
Review Submitted: July 21, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Our stay in Elysium was absolutely stunning! From the moment we arrived at the Corfu airport (where our hosts were waiting to collect us) Des and Gemma went out of their way to accommodate our every need, but always in an unobtrusive way. The location and layout of the property was exactly what we expected after having seen the Internet pictures, and the views are breathtaking. The apartment is immaculately neat and well-appointed, and everything works as it should. The scenery and beaches in the surrounding area of Paleokastritsa are truly beautiful, and we found a day trip to the town of Corfu and into the surrounding mountainsides well worth it. A boat trip to the beaches that are only accessible by sea is a fantastic experience, especially to Paradise beach. The restaurants in Paleokastritsa are usually outdoors, but are nevertheless clean and have a nice casual feel. You do have however have to watch the prices in some of the restaurants, and one or two of the supermarkets are also over-priced. Some of the local drivers in the area are quite wild, and in the narrow streets one does have to be careful as a pedestrian, particularly with young children. If you are not a confident driver, you may also want to think twice before hiring a car. This having been said, we did find most everything we needed accessible on foot and there is a local bus service which goes to Corfu. Overall a stunning holiday in a beautiful part of the world, and a really lovely apartment with superb hosts. Highly recommended!

Dear Des and Gemma

The stairs; breathtaking,
The view; earthshaking.

We have not seen a lot of Corfu,
This is all we needed mind you.

The apartment felt like home,
Your hospitality seldom known.

Continue to be as you are,
We'll think of you from afar.
