central and cosy at the same time

We had a very nice stay in Paris! Everything worked fine, Mme W. welcomed us at the apartment and explained everything to us, and we were really enchanted by the nice views to Théâtre du Châtelet and the Seine. But in particular my parents and I liked very much the decoration of the apartment that is quite functional and very cosy at the same moment – a combination you can't find very often. (My mother was absolutely enthused about the well organised kitchen cupboards, including the little tags indicating which item had to be where!) Thanks to the very central situation of the apartment we could discover quite a lot of Paris, and even with my old father who is not very quick on his feet anymore we could do some walks to Notre Dame, to the Quartier Latin or to Marais, and for the longer distances we could easily take a cab. So our stay in Paris really was a raving success!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. Like you we enjoy being at home in the apartment, cooking the delicious things the Paris street market offers
and then dining with a view of the river and St Chapelle.
Hope you will be able to return!

Mother-Daughter Paris adventure

We found the location of the apartment convenient to many things. We like to take walks and so strolled nightly to see the sights after dark--and felt very safe doing so. The walk to the food market was quite fun: we arrived at our home away from home with bags of vegetables, cheeses, breads and flowers. We ate dinners on the small balcony instead of the table!

We did meet some of the other residents and found them to be very helpful and welcoming.

The apartment did get warm during the day, but the fans and open windows did cool the resdience off so that we were able to sleep well during the night.

Thanks for a nice play to call home during our travels.

This was a great place to stay. It was central to everything we wanted to see while in Paris, Notre Dame, St. Capella, The Louvre, etc. There was a metro stop a block away where we took the train from the airport. We really enjoyed the fact that everything thing was within walking distance. The apartment was a very good size and having two rooms worked very well. We didn't have to worry about noise at all since the neighborhood was quiet and the windows on the apartment were very thick. The internet, phone and all other equipment worked great. The beds were comfortable, clean and rooms a good size. It is a top floor apartment but it had a elevator that made getting there a snap. Someone met us to show us the apartment and the owner stayed in contact the whole time. There is a grocery store right around the corner and a great bakery below the apartment on the same block. There were no surprises on what to expect and we really enjoyed our stay.

If we had a flat in Paris, this is the one we'd like to have. It has everything you need, including lots of light and delightful views of the flowing Seine. The kitchen is cleverly designed. The bedrooms are modest but comfortable. The location is really it's best asset, you are a brief stroll from everything, museums, music, grocery store, flowers, churches, shopping, movie theaters. And at the end of the day an elevator saves a climb to the 7th floor. We found we could easily come back in the late afternoon, regroup, and be off again. Everything was so easily accessible. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Home from home in Paris

The apartment is in the best location in Paris. Metro, bakeries, supermarket, all types of restaurants, a concert hall, the Siene, Rue de Rivoli are all within 3 minutes walk. The apartment itself is beautifully presented and maintained and exellent assistance was provided on arrival.
All the information provided in advance was correct and I would thoroughly recommend the Architect's Eyrie Overlooking th Seine.

A Lot of Research and This Was the One

Thank you for allowing us to stay in the beautiful apartment you call your home in Paris. We have had simply a wonderful time - every second of it savoured - from my morning run along the Seine, to visits to museums, to becoming friendly with the local proprietors . . . and just the superb 'hanging out' at home . . . just superb.

Thank you for the many guide books, the quality of the utensils and equipment and the obvious great energy you have out into the place. The wireless broadband was a great addition - we brought a laptop with us and used Skype to speak to our family back home everyday and the internet to check on opening times and research the museums etc we wanted to visit. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in and the Dunlopillo beds very comfortable. The space was compact but efficient.

The proximity of the Chatelet to EVERYTHING is remarkable. We could hear the bells of Notre Dame on a Sunday morning, see the Seine from our living room window / terrace, walk only metres to Rue de Rivoli and the Louvre is only around 400m away! The metro is a stroll 50m and Chatelet's stop is the epicentre of all lines.

This was THE perfect place to stay in Paris.

Owner's Response: Dear Kerry,
Thank you so much for sharing our enthusiasm for this corner of Paris..We too love being resident in Paris, not just visitors. Other than museums and concerts and just walking, what we enjoy most is rue Montergueil street Market , gathering gourmet fare in our cart on wheels to bring home to play Michelin Chef and then dining by sunlight or candle light with a view of Saint Chapelle reflected in the mirror.
"A jug of wine and thou " and a bit of music completes it all. Do come back as soon as you can!

Best wishes,

Clare and Eric.

Brilliant location and lovely apartment

I can highly recommend staying at the Architect's Eyrie. The location is fantastic and so much of the City can be explored on foot. The area has lots of good restaurants and cafes and we were spoiled for choice. The apartment has everything you could possibly need for a stay. The instructions provided by the owner prior to our arrival were very comprehensive and reassuring - I had every confidence that we would be met on arrival and that our stay would be stress-free, which it was.
