Amazing Location

What an amazing place to stay. There are so many positives it is impossible to list them all but we'll try. We stayed for 9 nights in this apartment and found the following things quite wonderful. It is in THE CENTRE OF PARIS. We could walk to all of the sites - and we did which meant we were very glad of the extraordinarily comfortable bed and the fluffy towels when we got home to shower and crash. There is a travel library (although a few of the books are older - so is Paris). The kitchen is well equipped and allowed us to make the meals we needed to make and make our own coffee each day. The washing machine meant that we had to pack less and worked perfectly - although we never did figure out the dryer. The free phone and internet meant that we could contact our family in North America and pick up our messages. Finally, Maria was amazing about answering the plethora of questions before, during and after our stay which put our minds at ease and made for a spectacular vacation. Also, the information that she sent ahead of time about Museum Passes, the Batobus and ShuttlesofParis made it much cheaper and easier to get around.
The grocery store downstairs is expensive but convenient and they are lovely people. There is a cremerie for cheese and meat across the street as well as a bakery which makes the best croissants we have ever had. There is also a Nicolas down the street to purchase wine. We spent many nights sitting on the banks of the Siene (less than two minutes from the front door) with a picnic dinner.
There is absolutely no street noise although you are dependent on the neighbours being quiet because of the courtyard set up. This was not a problem most of the time.
We would not hesitate to recommend this location and hope to return soon. Thank you Patrick and Maria - you have made these two travellers very happy and we hope many more will benefit from your hospitality!

Wonderful Apartment!

We had such a great time! The apartment was very
cute and the location perfect!! It's located 5 minutes from
the Seine river and Notre Dame on a very nice street.
What I really liked was the fact it was so quiet, especially
after a busy day of sight seeing. Another great feature is
the kitchen. We would usually make coffee and have
something light for breakfast before we left, and it was
great for evening snacks too. I also liked the fact that they had an international phone you could use right in the apartment - it made it so much easier to call home.
The owners were very accommodating to our needs and were easy to get ahold of. Another great feature were the
convenient shops. As you walked out of the apartment
there was a cheese shop, a wine shop and bakery
across the street. Right next door was a deli. How
perfect! The owners were so nice too. I would not
hesitate to rent this apartment out again - it was
perfect!

Ile-St-Louis apartment, WOW!

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful appartment in April. We were very pleased with the location. It’s very central (right in the middle of the river Seine). We had everything we needed nearby: there’s a little market right next door where we could buy fresh fruit, milk, wine, cereal, juice etc. As for cheese and bread and croissants, we had this great boulangerie right across the street and the cremerie with an amazing choice of cheeses. The street in itself is very charming. There are great restaurants, shops, and a chocolaterie where you can have the best hot chocolate ever. There are at least two metro stations situated right across the river and the RER is at Notre-Dame Cathedral which is a 3 minute walk away. The apartment in itself was very comfortable and very nicely decorated. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The bathroom is clean and modern. The living room is bright and spacious with a flat screen TV, cable, phone and internet access, although we didn’t use these much since Paris is much too romantic to watch TV. We slept well: the bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet. Even in the morning, all we could hear were the bells at Notre-Dame. We were always surprised, when we came out on the street, to see how much activity was going on because we didn’t hear a thing from inside the apartment or even from the little terrace. Charming! We highly recommend this apartment and we will surely go back there on our next trip to Paris.

We absolutely loved Paris - the trip was fantastic and we really can't say enough good things about the apartment! It was very cozy and the location is absolutely the best! We hated to leave! Your apartment was lovely - and so comfortable, it felt like home.

Thanks so much for everything - we look forward to another trip to Paris sometime soon.

Isle St Louis Apartment

Wonderful location - straight out of the door and into the cheese shop, boulangerie, wine store...! A short walk from Notre Dame & the Paris Plage which was a great surprise. First night, we had a late dinner watching the tango dancers at the corner of the street!
I stayed there with my 10 year old daughter & the apartment is a perfect size for 2, (might be a little crowded with more.) Cozy, private, safe, clean and very comfortable We were met with a bottle of wine & a thorough explanation of the ins & outs of the apartment & neighbourhood. Only slight let down was the non functioning washer - but I believe it was due to be repaired the day we left.
Owner's Response: Thanks for the good review! Indeed, the location is unbeatable.
Certainly the flat is very spacious for two people, and we've comfortably welcomed four people many times, either families or friends.
We care about our apartment and appliances, so obviously the washer which was broken by a previous tenant has been fixed.
We look forward to welcoming you!

Romantic and tasty flat in the very heart of Paris

Very special, romantic and tasty decorated flat with small out-door terrace situated on top of the only supermarket at the Iles Saint Louis in Paris. Which was very convenient as the flat was still very quite. I would definitly recommend it for a spring, autumn or summer city break!

Met and exceeded all our expectations

My wife and I came for our 10th anniversary. The apartment's location could not be better - great grocery store with super fresh fruit and basics literally next door. across the tiny Rue St. Louis from our door was a boulangerie that had an owner who treated us like locals. next to the bakery was a cremerie that had amazing selections of cheeses and meats. right down the street both ways were great restaurants (Mon Viel Ami particularly good) and you can get Bertillon ice cream and fresh crepes next to all that. the apartment itself had very nice updated bathroom, bedroom with high ceilings, living room with little tiny sitting area outside and a kitchen that fit all our needs. apartment contact was named virginia - she was very nice and spoke perfect english. our arrival was easy and we left our bags at the apartment as we arrived early on the overnight US flight and the maid still had to clean. felt the same to me as leaving my luggage with a concierge at an expensive hotel as i know my room wouldnt have been ready there either. the location, as previously said, was great. the batobus leaves from two nearby locations. the metro and RER (to airport) train stations are right at notre dame which is very close. the latin quarter and boulevard st germain are one bridge away south...and the latin quarter and La Marais are one bridge away north.

The apartment is up one flight of stairs with no elevator. We didnt mind at all but someone else might.
