The Perfect Place

Too often when you book a place from far away you take a chance. You arrive to find it is not what you expected and the staff are nowhere to be found. I can tell you that Villa Margherita is EXACTLY as you see online. The accommodations are clean, neat and tidy. The pool is sparkling clean and the grounds are immaculate. Margaret and her staff are on the premises and will help with problems and give you sound advice. And best of all is the location. The town of Mellieha is magically magnificent and Villa Margherita is close to supermarkets, stores, bars and restaurants and the wonderful bus service. So if you are in doubt as to where to stay in Malta look no further than Villa Margherita.

Villa Margherita, Mellieha, Malta

Review Submitted: August 10, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We had a fantastic stay at Villa Margeritha. The apartment was nice and clean and when the luggage was unpacked, we felt at home immediately. Good space, cable-TV with a wide range of channels, big fridge and freezer, books and brochures in the living room among other things.

The pool area was really nice and just outside the door! The kids loved that as much as we did and there were not 10 million rules of what to do or not to do. You could for example play with a ball in the pool or even go for a late swim (if the pool wasn't to be cleaned). The landlords were friendly and caring. The enviroment was peaceful and the view really nice.

All these elements contributed to a great, relaxing and friendly atmosphere and we really recommend this concept.

Holliday in Malta

We were two couples that stayed at Villa Margherita for 9 nights and it was a dream. Large space, good outdoor facility, very clean ( out and indoor) and excellent landlords ready to give tips on, were to eat, were to go, and to give information about their beautiful island. The accommodation is well situated, everything is in walking distance, supermarket, excellent restaurants, bus stops etc.
We had a wonderful time and the weather was excellent, thank you for making it easy

VILLA MARGHERITA MELLIEHA

Review Submitted: February 22, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
We first stayed at Villa Margherita 5 years ago with our 2 year old daughter and have returned each year.
The location is good and only 5 mins away from the bus stop, shops & restaurants. The beach is further.
The apartments are maintained to a high standard and have all you need for a comfortable stay.
Outside you have a pool, plenty of sun beds, BBQ area and communal WC/shower room which we find really good after being on the beach and washing off the sand.
Margaret and Joe, the owners, are very friendly and will help in anyway they can to make your stay more comfortable and relaxed.
There is not much more we can say that's not already been said apart from we would recommend friends and family to stay here.

Villa Margherita Mellieha

well, how could I rate the experience in Villa Margherita: it is hard to find words when everything was so good, starting from the landlords, and the apartment itself. The position and the wiew are outstanding, and the main resort are within a short trip by bus (so cheap, when you get the hang of it). The apartment is fairly large, I had no problem to fit in with my wife and two kids. The rooms are spotless upon arrival, the kitchen works very well and the TV set has an enormous range of channels, with the delight of the aforementioned children. Wuold I return to Villa Margherita? Yes, and this very second. So i could greet again the wonderful hosts, Margareta and Joey . Antonio, Bergamo, Italy

These villa apartments were recommended by a friend and we have never looked for alternative accommodation in seven years. We first used Villa Margherita for a family holiday location with two teenage boys.Although the location is quite it is within walking distance for shops and resturants with a walk or bus ride to the local sandy beach. Our boys made use of a local (Charlie's) taxi to get to the night life (clubs, bars etc). The Villa has good facilities, pool, BBQ area with no need to get up early to put towels on sun beds!!! plenty to share with other guests. The accommodation is clean, well presented and equiped with most things, even a communial washing machine if needed. The hosts Margaret and Joe are a happy maltese couple who will help in anyway they can to make your stay at Villa Margherita most pleasant and memorable. Most resturants etc have already been mentioned on this site. My wife and I have returned year after year even though our boys have left home and holiday with their friends.

Wow, what a lovely spacious appartment & spotlessly clean. It is suitable for any age group, even the disabled. Nothing is too much trouble for Margaret & Joe (the owners) to do or help you with. The pool is superb with plenty of sun-loungers to relax on. Supermarket is only 5mins walk away, where everything is available, also a very good resteraunt called Cross Keys only 2doors away from supermarket but there are plenty of very good eating places in Mellieha as well as shops. Would recommend this appartment with no hesitation,we have been going for the last 15 years and can't wait to go back next year.Les&Jacky.

Home from home at the Villa Margherita

Professori Cambridge, UK
Review Submitted: December 15, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
We have been visiting the Villa Margherita for some six years, sometimes staying twice a year. It has become our home from home, be it in the summer or winter time. We used to stay in good hotels in Mellieha but then discovered the Villa Margherita on the internet. We thought we would give self-catering a try and have never looked back. The accommodation is always spotlessly clean and well maintained. Each year we visit the accommodation improves in its facilities. This is a credit to Margaret and Joey and their lovely daughters Leanne and Lorna. The owners always provide good customer service and indeed have gone out of their way to provide extra facilities, such as wireless internet - something we need as professionals even when we are on vacation. We have made some excellent friends with other clients and we keep in touch back in the UK. We have indeed recommended Villa Margherita to all our friends and family in the UK. Indeed friends and relatives have now also become regulars at the Villa Margherita.

Our favourite restaurants in Mellieha are The Arches, Rebecca's and Il-Mitna (the Windmill), there are many others. The Feast of Our Lady has to be the best attraction in early September. What is also good is that from the Villa Margherita you are only 10 minutes away from beautiful swimming and the best beaches on the island. All in all we would never now go anywhere else for our summer holidays and count the family as dear friends.

Well what can we say......Your fantastic apartments made our holiday. They were spotlessly clean, well maintained and the pool was immaculate.

We were made to feel as part of the family and would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments to others. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.
