The gite is fabulously accommodated and you WILL not get better value for money. Top that off with the incredibly friendly & informative hosts, Astrid & Barrie, and it's a guaranteed cracking holiday.
The location is great, up a mountain side where the the gentle breeze will cool you down while you sit in the shade of covering foliage on the patio, preferably with a cold drink.
For the sportingly minded, you have all the famous Pyrenean Tour de France climbs at your doorstep and if you're a golfer, well, you couldn't be better served than with Astrid & Barrie as they are keen/gifted (delete as appropriate, Astrid & Barrie) golfers themselves and can recommend courses nearby.

The location is spectacular, so peaceful and quiet. The accomodation is lovely and clean - but what really made our stay so great was the hospitality shown by Barrie & Astrid. They were so generous with their time and local knowledge - thank you. We will be recommending the gite to all our friends.
Skiing @ Bareges/La Mongie - staying at Le Parede

The skiing at Bareges/La Mongie is great - excellent resort - an easy 30 minute drive from Le Parede. Staying at Le Parede you have the best of both worlds. We skied all day and had Bagneres de Bigorre (5 mins from Le Parede) to visit the bars & restaurants and the excellent Spa (only 15 euros a visit). The gites are fab - so warm and cosy.......will be back next year!
Owner's Response: We went skiing with John and his girlfriend the first time to show them around - they were very impressed with the variety of skiing available.
They were pleased they stayed away from the resort - its very quiet and peaceful here - and they just relaxed and went walking & sightseeing a couple of the days.

We have spent a fantastic/lovely time - its a quiet place and you have everything in one place. Its very close to Lourdes, so this is an ideal place for us. Also many thanks to Astrid & Barrie for their hospitality. Lovely.

Accommodation and location......brilliant. Walkers are in their element - keen cyclists can challenge themselves on the climbs their Tour de France heroes have done. Col de Tourmalet is only 18km from Le Parede. Great holiday.....we will be back!

Ruhig gelegene Wohnung in zentraler Lage der Hoch-Pyrenäen. Von hier aus sind fast alle lohnenswerten Ausflugsziele innerhalb kurzer Zeit erreichbar. Wohnung und Betreuung durch die Vermieter ausgezeichnet. Sehr empfehlenswert.
