Mill Cottage is a Gem

(me) Manchester
Review Submitted: November 16, 2009 Date of Stay:
The weather was not good, but Mill Cottage was a delight to return to each day and very well equipped, Freeview and a larger TV would be nice. Very comfortable beds and loads of local information to choose where to go. The Eastham Ferry Hotel is very good value for money. The train service to Chester and Liverpool was excellent.
Thanks Kate for making us feel so welcome, we really do want to come back for another visit.

Great Base and Comfy Cottage

Jo Wombat Isle of Man
Review Submitted: September 13, 2009 Date of Stay:
We found Mill Cottage (not that hard to find with the great directions from the owner, he he he!) to be a great place to stay as a base for exploring the Wirral and North Wales. Kate made us feel very welcome, and had provided a few basics so we could make a cup of tea before we had unpacked. The cottage was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We will try to rent it again next time we're wanting to stay in the area.

Home from home

Mill Cottage is a very comfortable home from home. Tucked away down a little lane. It gives privacy while being close to all amenities.
What a find! This was an ideal base from which to visit Liverpool, where we have family and to sightsee.
It has a cosy lounge, light, airy bedrooms with comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen.
Kate, the owner, is very helpful and has masses of information in the cottage for days out, local amenities and transport etc.
We have put this on our 'must return to' list.
Our only problem was the small TV. Dad's sight not being too good. We just moved it closer to him and he was fine.
Oh yes, he want's to come back too.

Great accommodation, great location!

We spent a week over the Easter break with our 2 adult sons. The cottage was larger and more comfortable than anticipated. The owner was extremely helpful and on hand in case of emergencies. The location proved to be ideal to explore the Wirral Coast, Liverpool, as well as Chester. North Wales is on the doorstep and the Lake District an hour or so away. A car is essential to get around but a train station, the ferry (across the Mersey) and park and ride facilities are nearby as cheaper/easier travel alternatives. Highly recommended.

Mill Cottage

SWARVEY Ashford, Kent
Review Submitted: November 25, 2008 Date of Stay:
November is not really the ideal time of year for a holiday, but we were very lucky with the weather - it only rained once! The cottage was superb - very clean & comfortable with more than adequate heating for a winter let. Lots of information available for places to visit, emergency telephone numbers etc. and owner available on 'phone if required. There were even basic supplies left for us. Would certainly recommend it as a base for exploring the area.

comfortable cottage for 4 that is well maintained and well equipped. Owner very helpful providing any information required for sightseeing in the area. Centrally located to many attractions ie Liverpool, Chester, Wales, with easy access to local train service. Good walking along the coast. I would recommend this property.
