Reviews of Property: Collioure superb location~stunning sea & mountain views~terrace~minute to beach

We stayed in Prud'Homie (myself, my Husband and 10 month old Daughter) with my Husbands parents, my Brother-in-law and his Girlfriend, for a week at the end of August. We all had a truly wonderful week and we have fallen in love with the area. We could not have been in a more central spot in Collioure for walking through town and exploring the area. The apartment was very accurately described and we felt right at home from the start - it is very well equipped and wonderfully decorated. The bedrooms are all a good double size, we had plenty of room in our bedroom with the cot up. There is a separate toilet and a good size family bathroom, again all well maintained and nicely decorated, and very clean!! The living space is open plan with two lovely balconies to people watch from. If you don't fancy walking for two or three minutes from the apartment to one of the many local restaurants (because of all the sunbathing on the beach you will no doubt be doing - just two minutes away from the apartment!) then you can just as easily cook a wonderful meal with ingredients bought from the local market, and watch the sun go down whilst sitting on the roof terrace! We are proof that you can take a baby to Collioure and have a wonderful time. The apartment does obviously have stairs but we did not find this a problem. There were plenty of other families holidaying in Collioure, but we think the beauty of the place is that it suits all ages. It has a good night life, whether that be having a quiet meal or going to the quietly hidden local wine bars. Eating out is not always cheap - some of the restuarants are more expensive than others but I would say that we generally had a good meal wherever we went, and it is worth treating yourself, as with anything you get what you pay for! There is plenty of good sightseeing to be had within Colliore and surrounding local areas, I would say that you do need a car, unless you are happy to stay within Collioure itself - and there is enough to do in Collioure for a week without having to go anywhere else! My wife and I have rented the apartment twice. The first time with 3 teenagers accompanying us, the second time with another couple. We are around 50 y.o. The apartment is perfect: Large, airy bedrooms, very cozy kitchen/living-room area and perhaps Collioure´s best situated roof-terrace, with views to "everything" and still discrete. The apt is well equiped, with all necessary electric appliances. We are definitely Collioure-lovers; We have visited this spectacular small fishing village at least twice a year for the last 8 yrs. And if possible - we will rent this apartment on all our visits in the future! Best wishes from Mette & Rune, Norway

This is an excellent place to stay in Collioure, right in the middle, beautiful views, airy and light. You have to climb three flights of stairs, so make shure, the luggage isn't too voluminous and heavy! The flat is on top of the house very light and airy, it might be sticky in the mazzanine on summer, but living room and the two bedrooms are full of fresh air. The kitchen is fully equipped, bathroom and toilette(tiny) separated. As a typical mediteranean flat there is terazzo on the floor, fresh in summer, maybe cold in winter. The roof terasse is wonderful: beautyful views to mountains, sea and village. Still you can feel private! The flat is calm, you can sleep with open window. You are in the middle of Collioure, the beaches are just nearby, a little grocer at the corner, the bakery 50 meters away and still its calm and airy up in the flat. We would love to come back.

The apartment is very homely and comfortable with everything you might need and in a fantastic position so close to the beaches, restaurants and nightly entertainment.
The weather was very hot during our weeks stay and it was so nice to be able to just nip to the beach for a swim in the beautifully clear, clean sea.
We ate out every night and every meal was really good, the fresh fish is to die for and the sangria is well ........tasty!!!
All in all a great holiday and the whole process from first inquiry through to our arrival was made easy and stress free by Sheila.
And finally how nice to arrive at a clean property with flowers and wine waiting and the beds all made up!

We had a fantastic vacation in your wonderful apartment! The weather was perfect, the sea was already warm in the first week of June, the wines and food excellent and the views from the roof terrace exceptional.

Hi Sheila, One week back from holiday and it seems like an age away... Just a quick note to say thank you for an absolutely wonderful stay in your apartment. It looked lovely on the website pics, but the reality was even better whan we got there! We were so excited when we opened the door, and even more so when we went up on to the terrace.

We had a superb stay - the weather was mixed at first with some monsoon-like downpours, but it cheered up after a few days. We had loads of lovely food, and the most energetic thing we attempted was taking the coastal path to Le Racou and back again. I certainly hope to be able to visit the apartment again at some point in the future - it is a wonderful place!
