Fantastic villa!

Have just returned from a great 10 days in Rhodes.
The Villa is well equipped and spotlessly maintained by Rob and Pat. Good location, near to Lindos and only 40 mins drive from old Rhodes town and the airport. Also great views over Vlicha Bay.
It was nice to go out-of-season when the island is quiet, the historical sites and beaches are empty but it's still warm and sunny and the sea is still warm enough to swim.

You definately need a rental car if you want to see the Island, the airport has Hertz, Avis and others but they are only open until 10pm so if arriving late (as we did) you will have to collect the following day. We flew in the day before our Erato booking and stayed at a hotel near the airport due to our late flight. If you need to do this I would recommend the Amathus Hotel - great if you have Children as they do family suites and/or villas and only 10 mins from the airport.

Would definately recommend Villa Erato and hope to be back.

A beautiful, well appointed villa.

Travelling off season we thought the island would be a little less touristy, we were a little disappointed in the island rather than the villa, which was a little haven. Positives,the owners and the couple looking after the property were really helpful, a lovely family holiday was had, beaches were empty, the sun shone and lovely accomadation. Negatives, one of the large hotels at the end of the road had rather loud discos at the weekend, which woke our daughter, the photos of the property lead us to believe it was a little more isolated than it really was.

Our week on Rhodes at the villa Erato was excellent. The Property Managers, Pat and Robert, made us feel right at home and were very helpful with information re: beaches, resturaunts and shopping. When one of our party had an unfortunate accident (off the property) on our first day, Robert drove her to the hospital where she received first rate care and was soon back at pool side. We found the property to be very clean and well maintained. The views were spectacular! Only negative comment: We could have used some English instructions for the washing machine. It seemed to take forever to do a load of wash! You will need a car when you stay here. Lindos is 15 minute drive away. We rented our car at the airport and had no problem finding the property in about 45 minutes. The local supermarket was five minutes away and there was a great butcher shop in a little village about 15 minutes drive. This was recomended by Robert as well. We could easily have spent two weeks here. Maybe next time! Don & Inger

The villa lived up to all expectations. A little warm in the morning but the air conditioning took charge of that. Once the breeze sprang up the temperature was blissful. We spent our time lazing around and sightseeing about 50/50. Hired a car for about half the time and the airport transfers were excellently arranged. Frequent pool checking was also appreciated. What a wonderful holiday.
The Villa is so well placed, waking up to those views everyday was fantastic. Great location.
The villa has everything you could want, although the satalliete tv was lacking in english channels the owners had considered this with a fantastic dvd collection.
We all loved the pool and the shadded seating ment that we could all sit outside together during the day whether you wanted to be in the sun or not.
Highly recommended
We will definately return.

I stayed with my husband, two children and my parents. This was a wonderful villa and the best view I have ever seen. I hired a car from the airport (cheapest place) and everything was good at the villa. Pat and Robert who live nearby were very friendly and helpful. The pool was a good size and well kept.
