4 generation holiday

lizzy bee sussex
Review Submitted: September 29, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
11 of us ranging from15months - 86years came for varying lengths of time, and we all enjoyed it. We had 4 cars between us which gave everyone independence.

We were a little disappointed with the beach nearest the house, as due to mainly westerly winds it wasn't often suitable for swimming. However we soon discovered Bosa Marina beach, which was very sheltered and ideal for everyone, and also L'Abbe Druche, were you are supposed to pay, but being out of season we didn't have to. This is a very sheltered spot with very few people there .Not forgetting our before breakfast walk and swim at Porto Alabe! All spots were good for some snorkelling which was much enjoyed.

The house folder was invaluable for info, and we had a very warm welcome at Angelino's restaurant. He knew immediately we were 'Barbara's guests' and made us feel very special. Everything in the house was as we had expected, and the owners were very quick to answer any queries prior to the holiday.

We didn't do a lot of sight seeing, apart from the local area, but did go to Neptune's caves, as we had to pick one of our sons up from Alghero , and that was well worth the visit, providing you can manage 635 steps! Luckily that was a cooler day as it is quite a climb back. Several of the party also anjoyed visiting nuraghi.

Finally we were delighted to find an abundance of figs in the garden, such a treat, figs for all meals and definitely every time we walked up the drive!

Altogether we had a wonderfully relaxing time, the only anxious moment being that contrary to popular expectation we got a car with the petrol gauge on red, and by the time we found an open garage it was absolutely on the end stop, but that's travelling!
Owner's Response: September in Porto Alabe can be very varied and unfortunately our guests this time were unlucky with the wind on our little beach, but as said in the review there are other beaches around close enough to choose from. Sounds like Liz and her varied family had a good time, my 92 year old mother and her 96 year old sister enjoy it just as much as we do. Plenty to do for everyone, and of all ages.
We pride ourselves on our early replies to whatever questions you have, and we always do our best to get 'it' right! We have enjoyed a good year with plenty of guests, and all seemed to have enjoyed our home as much as we have.

Had a Great Time!

DTI09 Firenze, Italy
Review Submitted: September 17, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Our family and good friends stayed at Casa Bianca for a week in the middle of August. We had a wonderful time. The house was spectacular with unbelievable views of the sea and sunsets. It was clean and very well furnished, including the kitchen.

The house was ideal for beach trips in the morning and then excursions in the afternoons and evenings. It was a relatively short drive to ruins, old towns and much more.

We hope to return to both the island and Casa Bianca in the future.

50th Birthday Celebration

Elaine R Tyne & Wear
Review Submitted: September 2, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Casa Bianca provided the perfect setting for our large group of family and friends to help me celebrate my birthday. The layout of the villa was perfect giving us all plenty of space with large airy bedrooms and beautiful views. We particulalry enjoyed eating outside, enjoying the fantastic weather and the gorgeous sunsets. We visited local beaches, Bosa, Alghero and canoeed down the River Temo - a fantastic experience. Overall, everyone had a brilliant holiday, particularly enjoying Casa Bianca and its fantastic setting.
Owner's Response: Celebrating a special occasion in Casa Bianca is really a wonderful experience, to us and to our guests. The local restaurants also make a great fuss of our guests. The weather in Sardinia makes so much difference, and even in the winter it beats our temperatures, so if you still have holidays to spare and celebrations to make, call us for details of our winter prices. We are taking enquiries even now for next years holidays, but after this year in England for the summer, maybe we should take time out there ourselves. All our guests have looked after the house so well, and the amount of room we have there makes it very unlikely that even with the full quota of 10/11 people there, peace, if you wanted it, could not be found. Once again, it has been a great year, and like we say every year to many of our guests, 'yes we do know how lucky we are to own Casa Bianca'. Call for details of next years prices and available dates.

SUPERB FAMILY HOLIDAY

40sands Wallasey, Wirral
Review Submitted: June 22, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
A family holiday celebrating my husband's 60th birthday. Our ages ranged from under 1 year to 60 and the villa was excellent for us all and surpased our expectations.

Everything was superb; the setting quiet with stunning views, the inside was spacious with excellent facilities, beautifully appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area was ideal for our family group. Outside dining and barbecues were a must most evenings watching the sunset and relaxing after a day sightseeing or on the beach.

The local beach was excellent for exploring the rock pools, a nice stretch of sand, fishing off the rocks, bird watching and walking along the beach to the next bays.

Bosa town is a few minutes away by car and the supermarkets were very well stocked with a lot of local produce and wines (which were excellent) Bosa beach is also lovely, a wide expanse of sand, the water was warn, ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

The restaurants in Bosa we ate in were first class.

The week pased too quickly and we would all love to return to Casa Blanca.
Owner's Response: I wish I were a guest at this house, I could enjoy it as much as all our guests do I am sure. Oh well, once again we are thrilled that another party of guests has enjoyed Casa Bianca so much. We love to hear the words, 'surpassed our expectations' as it means we have made our home one for other people too! This time of the year gets busier but even so our little corner can be an absolute haven of peace and privacy, with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Our Management Team take great pride in the presentation of Casa Bianca and we, along with our guests really appreciate their efforts, and you can be sure that the house will always have a welcome for you. Autumn bookings are starting to come in now and soon the Autumn Half Term will be the topic, so if you want to enjoy the most beautiful of walks and pleasant sunny days before we head into Winter call for any information you may want.

Two families and one week to relax!!

The town meets country gang London/New Forest
Review Submitted: June 4, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
"We have just returned from a week at this beautiful villa and found it very hard to leave! Our party consisted of two families with 5 children aged from 4-14 and a grandmother. Anywhere else this would have been very cramped but Casa Bianca was so spacious that the parents all had their own rooms and terraces, the children there own 'wing' and Nana her own separate downstairs accomodation! The standard of the fittings and furniture was high with lots of thought given to eating and entertainment. The Architect in our party was impressed with the design and layout and we all enjoyed the wonderful views. It is very quiet here and not all the restaurants are open in the spring but the weather was great and we really enjoyed the empty beaches and uncrowded towns. We would all thoroughly recommend this villa as excellent value for money."
Owner's Response: Once again we have satisfied families enjoying our home in Sardinia, and we are thrilled with the response. Relaxing, peaceful and plenty of space for everyone. Our home here in Sardinia is our little bit of Heaven, and the more guests that go and send this standard of reviews, the more we realise how lucky we are to be able to call it home. We hope that all our guests feel as though it is home for them too whilst they are there. Spring and Autumn are pleasant and relaxing here and we do have dates available fr the Autumn though I am hoping to get home before the winter arrives, so if you would like to see our beautiful corner of Sardinia please call or e-mail me.

A lovely stay in Casa Bianca. Easter 2009/

Review Submitted: May 10, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We had a great stay in Casa Bianca at Easter 2009 with our family and friends. The villa was very clean, with a fantastic space. The open-plan kitchen was well equipped with plenty of personal touches from the owner; seasoning herbs, tea bags and a welcome wine, they were all very much appreciated. Although we were three families everyone had there own private space. An amazing living space, with a big garden where the kids were playing in spite of the weather. Stunning views over the coast and superb sunsets. The beach is at a walking distance. Highly recommended!
Owner's Response: One of these days we will get all our family together here just like many of our guests do! Admittedly with five children we will be a little more squashed if they and all their families arrive at the same time, so we do it in small groups. The house has plenty of room to do just that, and even with a full house of ten people there are still corners to take advantage of the peace and quiet and gorgeous views. We leave all our guests a bottle of wine as a starter and we have plenty of messages about the wine in Sardinia. Try the malvasia which you can buy in Bosa or even at one of the local houses where they make their own. I would love to find this in our shops in the UK, but I know export of it is very minimal, they drink it themselves first! This year has been such a good year for bookings, and so far we have had some fantastic guests. I know a few people have special occasions to celebrate and if you let us know we can arrange meals at special restaurants in our locality, delicious and great celebrations. All our nearby restauranteurs value our custom and treat us and all our guests in a very special way. We are already being asked about reservations for next year, so we really feel that we have made our home yours too, even if it is only for a week or two. Happy holidays are what we want to know you have enjoyed in Casa Bianca.

3 family stay

Felice1 London
Review Submitted: April 22, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We were 3 families with 8 children all together and stayed at the villa in early April 2009. Despite very bad weather we really enjoyed our time mainly due to the great atmosphere and practical amenities provided at the villa such as BBQ facilities, big inside and outside table good cooking facilities, plenty of bathrooms etc...

The town and the beach is certainly quiet (remember it was April but I think it might be all year round on the quiet side) and there are sea urchins to look out for in the sea but overall it is a very pleasant environment suitable for those who look for a big villa that is a bit outside the usual tourist spots.
Owner's Response: It certainly is a great house for a large group of people, although we do not encourage more than ten people usually, there are adequate facilities for everyone to have their own space and we pride ourselves on this.
In early April the whole area is quiet but there are so many different aspects of Porto Alabe and Bosa to enjoy without the crowds, which does not happen all year. Our guests at this time of year really appreciate the peace, and though the area does not stay quiet, the house can keep you far enough away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy it all year.
All our younger guests leave messages about the different things they have found and we enjoy seeing Casa Bianca through a childs eyes. Just like our children and grandchildren our smallest guests have some fabulous stories to tell when they get home.
Porto Alabe is outside the main areas of Sardinia, but as the summer goes on more and more people discover our beautiful corner of the island, and it does get busier but close the gates on Casa Bianca and you will soon get your own peace and privacy with those stunning views to enjoy at the same time.
This year we have guests returning for the second and even third time, which really pleases us. All our summer dates are booked and we have even had a booking for next year, so if you are considering Casa Bianca for your special holiday, then may we suggest you contact us early. Autumn dates are available and enquiries coming for next year make us realise just how many people want to share our idyllic dream with us.

Perfect Casa Bianca

Agnese Riga, Latvia
Review Submitted: February 2, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
The house is very nice and has all equipment that can be needed. View is perfect - mountains on one side and see on other!!! I am glad that we lived in this villa.
Owner's Response: Having just spent the last four weeks 'at home' in Casa Bianca, we understand how our guests have enjoyed the house so much. Even with weather not as warm as we would have liked it was oh so much better than dear old England in the snow and ice and slush. Mountains did have some snow on but we were looking at it with our feet paddling in the Med! The start of Spring now makes each day a joy to wake to, flowers are just starting to show through the ground on our terraces, and the blossom from the trees makes the house look so pretty.
So the spring cleaning has been done and we are ready fo another season. This year we have guests returning, something we are really pleased about as we now know 'Casa Bianca' makes others feel about it as we do.
Happy homecoming to those we have welcomed before and to our new guests, we hope you enjoy it as much as others have done, and as much as we do ourselves.
We do have some dates still available but only in short supply. We have even taken some enquiries for next year, so if you would like to join our 'family', please feel free to ask questions now.

New Year 2008/2009

Review Submitted: January 8, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
We can't recommend Casa Bianca highly enough.  We were a group of 7 who go away for New Year each year and this was by far the best we have experienced so far.  The kitchen is better equipped than most would be at home and the quality of all the furniture and fittings was superb.  We were able to eat lunch outside on three occasions, enjoying the warmth from the sun knowing that those back home were enduring freezing conditions!  Although quiet at this time of the year, Bosa and other small hillside towns are very worth visiting with quaint, narrow streets and plenty of character.  With the comfort of the wood burner in the lounge and plenty of entertainment possible we didn't find the need to eat out in the evenings - just enjoyed the cullinery delights of those in our party.  The villa was warm and cosy so we can recommend visiting at this time of the year.  Thank you Barbara for letting us share Casa Bianca - an experience we would very much like to repeat another time.
Owner's Response: Well we have really suffered with the cold in England, and we are so pleased when our guests tell us what a great time in the sunshine they have had. Jealous though we are, from our reviews we know that Casa Bianca makes all our guests feel at home, so if you are hoping to do what our New Year crowd did this last New Year, let me know quickly as there is quite a lot of interest for the next one! We enjoy cooking in Casa Bianca, and there are so many new foods to try, hence the well equipped kitchen. Hopefully the weather will be kind to all guests, but the sound system and television will occupy you if it's not quite outside weather. All in all, we aim to provide a real home away from home for all our guests, no matter what time of year. We wish all our guests a Happy New Year and thank you for choosing our house.

Family holiday

Review Submitted: October 6, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
We spent the last week of September here. (We being father, mother, two sons and their girlfriends.) The house was much larger than we had envisioned and in a beautiful setting. Everything about the holiday was great including the weather. The house was very well equipped and even included umbrellas and towels for the beach. We all had a fantastic time and wish we had booked for two weeks. We thoroughly recommend it!
Owner's Response: We have had wonderful guests this year, they have all really enjoyed our home, and looked after it like their own, and for that we would like to say a big thank you. Many like this family have wished they had booked for longer. As the summer bookings are now coming to an end we are getting Casa Bianca ready for our Winter guests. This year we shall have a log fire installed so that after lovely walks and cooler evenings there will be a welcoming fire to return to.
Please email or call us for any enquiries about the winter bookings.
Now it is our turn. We are on our way to Casa Bianca for a few weeks of relaxation and gardening, enjoying what our guests have done this year, peace and quiet and beautiful views of the sea and the surrounding countryside from our terrace. I know quite a few people who would swap places with us at the moment, but sorry, no can do!
We have opened our bookings for next summer and have many requests already. If you are thinking of returning or coming to us for the first time, can I suggest you call us as soon as possible, we would not want to disappoint you.
