Review Submitted: March 13, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
Myself and 13 other girls stayed for 5 nights, stunning views of the sea, very spacious, close to shops and local bars. Made to feel very welcome.

We had an amazing time and we loved the villa it made our stay in Tenerife
Owner's Response: The girls had a fantastic time at the villa and thanked us for the support from Ian and Sheila when they required anything.

They said the villa was extremely spacious and inparticular loved the private roof solarium for sunbathing and the private terrace around the large swimming pool.

They enjoyed the stroll to the beautiful restaurants in the resort and enjoyed a wonderful holiday.

We would welcome the group back at any time.

Thank you

Girls Holiday 2009

Review Submitted: May 20, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
This villa was the perfect choice for our holiday, it is in a good location and only a short taxi ride from Costa Adeje and La Caleta which had lots of nice fish restaurants. The villa itself was very luxurious and the swimming pool was a good size.
Owner's Response: The girls were a pleasure to have at the property and our representatives, Ian and Sheila, said they were polite and left the villa spotless.

We are glad they enjoyed the holiday.

Thank you

A holiday to remember...

Review Submitted: May 3, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We all loved staying at the villa. The layout of the house was perfect for our group everyone had their own space. On arrival the property was in immaculate condition and Sheila and Ian could not have been more helpful they were great. The villa was located in a beautiful little village within walking distance to all shops, bars and restaurants and Las Americas only a 10 minute taxi ride and very cheap. We had a wonderful time, definatly a holiday to remember.

Not-to-be Buckinghamshire
Review Submitted: April 22, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
This is a large spacious villa - which in its' hey-day must have been beautiful. However, we have returned home yesterday & would like to review our stay at this villa.
We chose this villa over other equally priced villas in Tenerife due to its WIFI internet access. I did advise the owner how important this was to us prior to us travelling due to my husband needing to be in communication with his workplace. The owner failed to respond to several emails & phone calls advising me that there would be no such access available whilst we were there, Ian & Sheila offfered an internet stick of one of their friends for use during the day - however, this would have to be dropped off at the villa ech morning & collected later in the day - hardly a convenience meaning we would have to plan our day around this. I was unhappy about this & contacted Mark whilst we were at the villa - he did apologise - but he really should have communicated this to me prior to us travelling - we had paid for this facility being available as part of our rental charge.
Other issues we had at the villa were as mentioned above - the floor was dirty, our feet were black on day one so nothing to do with bringing dirt in from outside. The facia door on the dishwasher was hanging off, the cupboards in the kitchen smelt damp, dressing room had a damp smell, the tiles on the pool were chipping off & our childrens feet & legs were scraped as the tile edges were so sharp, the pool needs a good clean, there is no access to the pool from the upstairs living area, there were no cereal bowls or coffee maker when we arrived - Sheila & Ian rectified this on day 2, the decoration is very tired & needs completely re-decorating, the towels are threadbare - I could go on!
We saw this villa advertised on owners-direct but there is no facility to leave feedback there so I am leaving it here.
This villa is described as "luxury" - I'm sorry, but expectations need to be lowered if luxury is what you are expecting from this villa. The owner needs to spend money on maintenance, furnishings and fixtures for this villa to be classified as that in my opinion.
The area is very charming & we met many friendly people. La Romantica is a lovely restaurant within a 10-15 minute walk away- we had several meals here. The villa is in a good location with some fabulous views. Unfortunately, I wouldnt recommend this property to any of my friends.

Callao Salvaje

Review Submitted: March 11, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
We visited Callao Salvaje for a 4 night break in January 2009, there were 12 of us on this trip. It is a short journey from Tenerife South airport.
We were met at the Villa by the owners representatives and because we were arriving quite late they had arranged a welcome pack at a reasonable cost, which I would highly recommend if you are arriving late.
The Villa was as the pictures on the website. It was very clean, great layout and the facilities were home from home. All the rooms are very spacious.
We were lucky that we had good weather so took full advantage of the pool. We did spend our days round the pool and didnt venture out of the villa so I can't comment on the beach as we didnt see it.
The Villa is on a hill and the restaurants, bars and supermarkets are at the bottom of the hill, but we found the walk fine and the walk back up the hill was fine for us. Though if anyone does struggle with walking there are cabs that can take you back to the Villa and were reasonable.
We went to a local restaurant that had an entertainer and the food was great, the majority of us just had pizza and all agreed that it was nice. The Karokee bar was great fun if you want a drink after.
If you are looking for a fantastic restaurant visit Molino Blanco which is in Puerto De La Cruz, beautiful setting and exceptional food, again a short journey from the Villa.
We found Callao Salvaje to be a relaxing area but if you do want to go out for a drink then there are places to go.
We much preferred staying at the Villa then staying in a hotel as everything that you need is there, if you want to stay in and cook a meal you can or if you want to go out and don't want to have to rely on driving then you can just walk to local ammenities. Overall a fab stay.

Spacious Villa, Quiet Location

bgt Milton Keynes
Review Submitted: February 24, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
The villa was very spacious and all the rooms were reasonable sizes. However, we were disappointed with the standard of cleanliness, especially as we were travelling with babies. The property could have done with a better clean. The dishwasher also did not work properly so we had to wash up by hand.

Although the swimming pool was heated, it was still a little cool for the babies. However, the person managing the villa did address this issue when we pointed this out. Overall, we had a great good holiday in Tenerife and the property managers were very accommodating when we had a request, for example getting cots and highchairs for the babies. The electricity in the villa did trip most days but the owners are investigating this matter.

Since returning from this holiday, we have written to the owner of the villa with our concerns and he has assured us he will be addressing these to improve the standards for future guests of the property.
Owner's Response: We were amazed at the placing of this review given that Ian and Sheila, our representatives, were on hand at all times and were never informed of the problems and the first we heard about anything was direct from the rental company.

The group were met on arrival and said the villa was lovely and when cots and highchairs were requested, they were delivered immediately.

The problem occured when 3 babies were crawling around the tiled floors of the villa and there babygrows got dirty knees.

The villa was perfectly clean when the group entered and there was no possibility of the babies not getting dirty unless they mopped and polished the floors daily as when you are walking in and out of the villa dirt is transmitted on the soles of feet and shoes.

We were informed that this was the only issue with cleanliness.

The pool attendant or Ian were never asked to raise the heat on the pool, which would have been done immediately.

Since returning from their holiday, the 3 couples immediately posted a review which we thought a little unfair as we were never informed of any problems whilst they were on holiday.

They admitted, with hindsight, they should have contacted Ian with any issues and not returned home to post a bad review without informing us.

We have taken the following actions:-

Placed another set of instructions for the dishwasher, as it is fully functional.

Prior to the groups arrival, we had torrential rain in Tenerife causing electrical problems all over the Island.
The electric tripping was a problem beyond our control but notes have now been left in the villa on the simple task of flicking up the trip switch.

It would have been nice for this party to liaise with us about any concerns whilst on holiday as we always address any problems immediately.

Also, a few remarks about there wonderful holiday would have been appreciated.
