Lovely place for a holiday

trio from Yorkshire North Yorkshire
Review Submitted: September 3, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008
I just have to say how lovely Lavender cottage was. A real home away from home with evrything we needed for a great holiday. Location of cottage is really nice in the moors. Very quiet. Ideal for a family with gated areas and lovely garden house with lots of games and things to keep kids entertain. Perfect for a couple though as very romantic with a lovely four poster bed and jacuzzi bath. Hopefully if we go back next year there would be better weather. Great supply of DVDs though for rainy days.
All communications with owner were fabulous as well.

Lavender Cottage, North Wales

The cottage was beautiful, definately deserves the 4 stars from the Wales Tourist Board for holiday cottage.
The kitchen has everything that you need, large dining room and cosy sitting room. Plenty of DVD's and loads of games for the PS2.
The bathroom was lovely with relaxing jacuzzi bath.
The beds are very comfortable, which was lovely as usually the beds in holiday cottages are terrible, lovely surprise and great to get a good nights sleep after a hectic day of exploring the surrounding area, which is breathtaking.
We have satyed in loads of cottages, but this was one of the best ever.
Rural setting, but with a car, easy to get anywhere within North Wales and Chester.
A lovely relaxing week, but with plenty of things for the children to do at the cottage, so we could stay in relax some days without the children getting fed up...
We will be staying at Lavender Cottage again...

We just loved the cottage: very nice decoration, clean, really good kitchen (and lovely, too), wonderful games house for children with lots of toys for children aged 1-13, PS2 with lots of games, films for rainny days, incredible stream of water in the shower, jacuzzi.....we would really recommend it to everybody. Besides, it is very well located to explore North and middle Wales.

A week at Lavender Cottage

Rev R York
Review Submitted: June 15, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We spent a week at Lavender Cottage after Easter and had an enjoyable stay. The cottage itself is well-equipped and comfortable and we enjoyed its interesting features such as the jacuzzi bath. There was plenty of room for our family of 2 adults and 2 teens and if the weather had been better we would have enjoyed sitting outside too!
The cottage was clean and well looked after.
It is in a great location for visiting local sights and those further away. We visited Llangollen, Chester, Liverpool, Llandudno and many other places.
I would definitely recommend this to people as a great place to stay.

Well worthy of the four stars

Lavander Cottage was perfect. Everything was as described and the extra touches (fresh flowers, wine and cakes) made it welcoming. Everything had been thought of, down to a wok, all the books, DVDs and games for children (and adults). We have stayed in numerous cottages but found Lavander Cottage to be well above average. The bathroom would compare quite favourably with good hotels. This was the perfect location for touring North Wales and if the weather is kind as it was for us, there is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sunshine after a tiring day. All in all a perfect place where you can do as much or as little as you want.

Weekend Break

Review Submitted: May 11, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
The cottage is delightful, very comfortable with little touches that made it special. Having stayed in numerous cottages over the years we are quite particular. It was immaculately presented and I loved the Welsh cakes that were left out for us on arrival (and a bottle of wine). There was something for everyone to do.Plenty of room for parking, and such a peaceful location.Wrexham is not far for those that like the shops. The description was exact and very clear. We were lucky with the weather but the cottage is so comfy that we would'nt have had a problen had we had to stay indoors.
