Perfect holiday accomodation

The twinies Liverpool
Review Submitted: November 18, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
The Courtyard is a beautiful apartment that is well maintained and very clean. There were 6 of us staying and there was plenty of room. My son is a wheelchair user and the fact that the apartment is all on one level was perfect for us. Kirsteen was a perfect host ready with help and advice when needed.

The location was perfect too, with lots for families to do in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Sterling and the surrounding area. We particularly enjoyed the Glasgow Science Centre, the Glasgow School of Art and the Falkirk Wheel.

I would love to come again and I highly recommend The Courtyard.

As promised

Review Submitted: August 4, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We just returned from a month in Europe staying in a variety of properties in Scotland, Norway and France. What we loved about The Courtyard was that it was just "as promised" and Kirsteen made our stay so pleasant. We were travelling with extended family, including my in-laws and sister-in-law, so there were varying needs that were not easy to meet. The Courtyard worked perfectly for all of us --- modern, clean and a nice haven at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. Stirling is a great central location for touring Scotland as so many things can be seen within an easy car/train ride.

I would have no hesitation in highly recommending The Courtyard to others.

Wonderful Location with Everything you need!

Never having been to Scotland, I wanted to find a central location to use as a home base to explore this beautiful country. My family and I were very fortunate to find The Courtyard. The description and pictures are accurate, but do not do it justice. It is such a wonderful place to stay with everything you need (Kirsteen even had blow dryers available!) . The grocery store is close if you need food or other supplies as is downtown Stirling for shopping and restaurants (I highly recommend Ciscos for breakfast!). Kirsteen and Robby (the owners) were very responsive to our needs and helpful in every regard. The rooms were clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend staying here. There are many things to see in and around Stirling or, if like us, use this lovely place as a home base to explore Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the surrounding area.

Short break away for family Burlison

Review Submitted: May 28, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
When browsing for somewhere to stay in Scotland, I was impressed by the look of the Courtyard and was certainly not disappointed in the least, it was everything we were expecting, in fact it was better than we thought. There were 6 of us staying at the property ranging from 1 year old to 87! and we couldn't fault a thing, The property being on the ground flood was great for both Daniel (1) and Rene (87). Dan loved exploring and everything in the property was child friendly, evident that the owners had children, which was great. The owners Kirsteen and Robbie were very friendly and welcoming and offered advice on days out and good restaurants / take aways! nothing was a bother, which was great. The toys which were left for Dan the man to play with were great as well as the baby monitors as it certainly lightened the load. Kirsteen and Robbies two children Darcy and Ayley were very friendly too and even invited Dan into their garden to play on their very impressive tree house! which unfortunately we never got the chance to do as we ran out of time! The house itself was immaculate, well equipped and contemporary. The location was great and the town centre was just a few minutes walk away. There was also a good park nearby for Dan to play in which he loved. Good base location to visit Perth, The Trossachs, Loch Lomond, Edinburgh & Glasgow and the Blair Drummond Safari Park was a fab day out. We have booked to go again next year and to be honest we wouldn't look to book anywhere else if having a holiday in Scotland. We have recommended The Courtyard already to friends who are looking to go to Scotland next year and will certainly recommend to anyone else looking to holiday in Scotland. Book up, you won't be disappointed!!

Home from home

The graduate north Scotland
Review Submitted: May 13, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We had a really good stay at 'The Courtyard'. It was indeed a home from home with everything we could require. We stayed there with my daughter, son in law and 2 year old grandson. The stay was made even better by the provision of cot, highchair and other childrens requirements. Suitable toys and books really made a wee boy very happy! The property is in a great location with shops and restaurants close by. Clean warm and comfortable I would certainly reccommend it.

AMAZING PLACE TO STAY!!!

This flat is absolutely amazing. Not only do you have every ammenity, cleanliness, space and great location, but you also have the most welcoming owners possible. The flat was a perfect distance from the night life but also far enough away that you enjoyed a peaceful retreat. Kirsteen and Robbie are very helpful in anything you need and from the minute your book to the time you check out, you have the most wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this self catering accommodation to ANYONE travelling to Scotland, not just Stirling. It is very central so you can easilly travel throughout central Scotland. (Glasgow, Edinburgh, etc...) The only bad thing about this self catering flat is that we didn't book another week! Absolutely everything about it was amazing!

Kirsteen and Robbie, many thanks, in particular
the suggestions for hiking tracks!

Just brilliant!!

Review Submitted: April 7, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
We spent 3 nights at the superb courtyard in Stirling - Two adults and three children. The accommodation was fantastic - easily one of the best appartments we've stayed in - exceptional value.
Minutes walk from shops and restaraunts - through lovely surroundings with plenty of great places to eat. Close to Glasgow and Edinburgh (30 mins each) with many other attractions local to Stirling.
Kirsteen, Robbie and the girls made us feel very welcome and have done wonders with the conversion - this really is a home from home that provided us with an excellent, quiet and very comfortable base to explore the area. We will be returning again.

Lives up to its promises

Hatta Bucksbirn, Aberdeen
Review Submitted: March 9, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
We booked the Courtyard for a family weekeend (granparents, son, wife and 2 granddaughters 4 and 2 yrs, daughter, husband and grandson, 6yrs.) .... a vey varied age group, but the location and property was perfect for us all. The Courtyard certainly lived up to all its promises and our expectations. It is very clean and well maintained.
There is a long, wide hall, perfect freedom for little ones, when they are inside. The garden is also spacious, walled (on 3 sides) and offers a large degree of privacey, plenty of things for the wee ones to play with ...Kirsteen also provided plenty of toys for inside, extremely welcome !
It is so near the centre of town for shops and eateries.
We have recommended this one to our friends and will keep it in mind for a future weekend.
