Superb family ski apartment

The Scottish ski family Angus, Scotland
Review Submitted: April 21, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Perfect apartment in a perfect location in a perfect setting! Although photograhs of apartment are good they still do not do it justice it has everything you could want for a real home from home holiday experience. The facilities are excellent well maintained and spotlessly clean. Tracey provides a terrific service with lots of advice and information on arrival. The apartment is perfect for exploring the whole of the valley but only a 5 minute walk from the Mayrhofen ski lifts. It is very close to all the shops and restaurants yet in a very quiet location. A terrific find we have been skiing in the alps for more than 25 years and this is easily the best apartment we have rented. I would recommend this property to those who appreciate quality in a terrific setting.

Owner's Response: Great to hear that the personal service that we give to all our guests is valued and appreciated.

This is done to ensure that our guests do not have to waste time finding out about the location, amenities, best places to go etc... all of which is done for you before your arrival.

Nothing is too much trouble before or during your holiday, whether this is by email, phone or in person, we are always here to help.

We look forward to seeing you again next year!

Luxury Base for Summer Activities

Lizzie and Andy London, UK
Review Submitted: September 28, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We had a wonderful week exploring some of the many summer activities that Mayrhofen has to offer - paragliding, canyoning, mountain-biking and hiking. The weather in mid September was incredible. Tracy and Steve's apartment was home from home and we couldn't have wished for a more stylish and comfortable place to relax. Central but amazingly quiet, light and bright, modern and with everything we needed, it gets a 100% recommendation. And thank you Tracy for looking after us so well!

Lovely apartment with fabulous views

What a find! We were absolutely delighted with the apartment, which has been well furnished and is very cosy, being at the top of the house under the eaves. The views are absolutely fabulous, definitely worth the climb up the stairs! It was very nice also to be met by Tracy on arrival, who gave us lots of helpful advice on things to do, and where to shop and eat. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, and we're looking forward to going back. Many thanks, Tracy, for providing such a welcome place to stay in such a beautiful area.

Wow! What views!

This apartment is just fantastic for a summer holiday based around Mayrhofen. The views from the apartment are stunning whether you are eating breakfast al fresco or having an evening meal watching the twinkling lights of Finkenburg as the sun goes down. An added bonus are the paragliders especially those performing aerobatics - a great free show!
The apartment itself was pristine when we arrived and has everything you could possibly need. All was in excellent condition.
The proximity of the bakers was wonderful for fresh croissants in the morning and the bread was excellent too - try the brown seeded rolls if you don't have too many crowns on your teeth!
We were delighted by how much there was to do in the area during the summer - we only made it to the pool for one day. We hired a car as our 'luxury' item, but you could easily manage without one. We just liked the flexibility it gave us. Cable cars were good except for the Penken - just too high off the ground for me!! Chair lift at ramsau more my style - a gentle 25 minute ride up the mountain, fabulous views from the top and then 25 minutes back down drinking in the views. Plenty of way marked paths if you are walkers like us.
Top place to visit in the summer - Hintertux glacier
memories - all the lunches we had with 'a view to die for' perched on a rock or a bench somewhere round a reservoir, by a stream or half way down a mountain.
This was a memorable holiday for all the best reasons!

great summer apartment.

This is an excellent modern bright apartment with great views over the town to the surrounding mountains. For a summer break having the swimming pool next door was brilliant as was having the chair lifts only 5 minutes away, giving access to the cool of the mountains.Shops and restaurants are all a few minutes away but the apartment remains extremily quiet. The area is beautiful and great for walking and a mega for cycling especially mountain biking.I would recommend it for anyone looking an active holiday. The apartment is at the top of the building so you do have to be fit enough to climb stairs. However the views this gives makes the climb worth it.We hired a car in Munich and drove .|The car was rarely used after we arrived .This is a place where you could manage happily without a car without feeling trapped.I loved the apartment and Mayrhofen.Cheers Donal.

Dear Tracy and Steve,
thank you for all your help and a perfect week in Mayrhofen. Your apartment is so cozy and comfortable. Doudle-side window on the second floor lighten the lounge area and makes additional charm. We cut to heart with views over the village and mountains from the balconies.
Your wrote that the Penkenbahn lift only a couple of minutes walk, yes it's true, but the Ahornbahn is also close to apartments - no car and skibus needed.
Snowboarding in March in Mayrhofen is perfect. But one week is not enough. Hope we'll visit you again and stay for 2 weeks or more.
Thank you!

Mayrhofen Reunion

Caron, Debbie, Jane, Karen and Trudy Kent and Hertfordshire
Review Submitted: March 30, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
We all had a fantastic short stay in your apartment and it met all our expectations and more. It was clean, modern and there was ample space for 5 adults to rest and cook after a full days worth of skiing. The view of the mountains from the lounge window was amazing, especially in the morning and evening. The apartment is situated in a peaceful and quiet part of Mayrhofen, set back from the main road, yet it was a very quick short walk to the Penkenbarn lift… 5 mins max! It was lovely to meet Tracy the owner. She kindly decorated the apartment with balloons and banners as one of the ladies of the ski party celebrated a birthday, as well as organising a lovely chocolate cake to be there on arrival, together with a bottle of schnapps! If we had any problems we knew we could contact Tracy straight away for advice. We would definitely rent this apartment again in the future and recommend it to friends and family.

Perfect Apartment Fantastic Skiing

Review Submitted: March 10, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
The apartment was perfect, clean, modern, very well equipped and maintained; completely beyond our expectations.
Tracy was an excellent "host" meeting us on our arrival & making herself available for any queries or unforeseen problems. Fantastic views from the apartment but too many stairs for me as I had to carry our 4yr old up them every trip!!
Only a couple of minutes from the centre of Mayrhofen which is a delightful town & equally close to the ski lifts. Skiing fantastic for all our varied standards.
We also enjoyed the swimming pool which is next door & also has fantastic facilities & kept extremely clean.
We would recommend this appartment wholeheartedly as long as we get the week we want each year!!

Owner's Response: Nothing is too much trouble for our guests, making sure that our guests spend their holiday having fun rather than finding their feet! We live in the village so we on hand to answer any questions or give guidance in person if required.

The apartment has the best location and best views, a real home from home. The leisure facilities next door to the apartment provide relaxation for adults, or entertainment for children and has great opening hours.. until 9pm.

Review Submitted: March 9, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
we had a delightful weeks stay in Febuary. The apartment is in a great spot in the centre of the town, with brilliant views from the balconies. A short walk from the main lift and to the many bars. The apartment itself is very modern and has all the amenities you could want ( although dont try and light the fire unless you are prepared for a bit of smoke). All in all a little gem and you will not be disappointed by a stay here.

Owner's Response: Great to hear that another group of guests to our apartment had a good week, taking advantage of the doorstep amenities. Sorry to hear that a fire could not be started successully without smoke..., obviously, did not pay full attention to my fire lighting instructions on my 'Greeting talk' on arrival. Perhaps more success on next years visit!
