Wonderful view

The view and location made this holiday for us.
Walking down the hill in the morning to cross the bridge into Trogir old town, wander the narrow alleyways finding beautiful old courtyards, end up at the open farmers' market to buy great fresh organic fruit and vegetables, taste the local smoked ham and cheese, maybe get some fish for dinner. We'd need an ice cream to help make it back up the hill - spoilt for choice with so many flavours.

The beach is about a mile or 2 along a busy road, with few pavements but we were a group of 3 fit older adults, so no problem for us. We liked the shingle, clear water and good swimming, especially further round the bay. Then stop at a bar on the way home for a cold beer.

Eating out was good, restaurants on the waterfront and in the narrow streets of town had a good range of meals and prices were reasonable. The waterfront always has something happening, so it was delightful just to sit on our balcony with our own food and wine, watching the yachts come and go. There are ferries and buses so no need to have a car.

The apartment was clean and tidy, just as expected, quite spacious although the bunk room is cramped. Lovely big balcony. It's good having a washing machine though we felt the kitchen could be a bit better equipped (no coffee jug!) TV has a good range of channels including BBC world. There are some beach airbeds/ring, novels and lots of tourist leaflets provided.

Service was fine, The caretaker Liliana met me at the airport and her husband drove me to the apartment for 100 kuna. Going home I just got the local bus to the airport, very easy as it's only 10 minutes from Trogir. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this apartment, and in going again.

A perfect holiday destination

We''ve just returned from two weeks in this apartment. The description was accurate - the views from the balcony were magical and we spent many happy hours here watching the world go by. We soon got used to the climb back up - it wasn't a problem at all, even carrying shopping. The apartment was spotless, with everything we required. Liliana was delightful, most helpful when required. The local restaurants were superb and we found them very reasonable - we ate out every day and spent less than we would have done at home. The ice-cream was to die for - even better than in Italy!! The people are so friendly - we just loved everything about this beautiful place. Children were very welcome in Trogir, and it appeared to be a safe place for them to play, although you'd need to take care on the roads as there aren't pavements - but it's a very short walk along the road to the pathway down to the town. We'd happily go there again - Coratia certainly won our hearts.

Trogir Apartment - great position, excellant views

We stayed in the apt for a week, it was in a good position, walking distance into Trogir where there were many cafes and restaurants. Great daily food market on the mainland part of Trogir. Liliana provided us with information and was waiting at the apt for our arrival.Parking in street outside. Second bedroom, which we did not use as there are only 2 of us, is small with bunk beds but okay for kids.Good size balcony with table and chairs.Could do with a toaster - the was a booklet for one but no toaster could be found, also a few more basic cooking utensils would be good. Not suitable for people with disabilities as there is no lift. Will certainly recommend to friends as the position and view was fantastic and would stay again if we are coming to Croatia. Would recommend Alka restaurant in Trogir. Also Tourist Bureau in Trogir had plenty of information on the area and could suggest ferry trips etc. We drove to Primosten and Sibenik one day and caught the local bus to Split another day. All in all a great place to stay.

Review of property 91603 Trogir

The description of "glorious views from the balcony over the romantic Medieval town of Trogir" is 100% accurate!
Of course you can't have a fantastic view without being at the top of a hill, so we had to manage our shopping carefully as there were no shops near the appartment.
We found the appartment to be clean and fresh, well maintained and adequately furnished, although not sure that 6 adults sharing would find it roomy enough. We mostly self catered as found that eating out was alot more expensive than we were expecting; we were limited in our cooking as the microwave didnt work and there was only a hob to cook on.
The customer service has been excellent throughout with a delightful lady meeting us at the airport, and taking us to the appartment.
Trogir is very beautiful and well placed for visiting other islands. We had a wonderful fortnight , but it is not a place to go if you are looking for peace and quiet; we found the traffic to be quite a problem. It was an ideal place to go with teenagers as there was plenty going on in the town in the evening, and we were only a 10 minute walk (downhill!) to the town.

A great time was had by all! this lovely apartment has a spectacular view over the town Trogir and is in a convinient location - only around 5-10 minutes walk from all bars and restaurants. Also it is well placed for the beach which one can walk to in 15 minutes or get a cheap boat. The property itself was nicely maintained and had electrical appliances which made the stay all the more comfortable. I would definately stay in this apartment again if I were to return!

The apartment was fantastic - very clean and tidy. The view from the balcony over Trogir was incredible and it was only 5-10 minutes walk to all the bars and restaurants in Trogir. In the other direction it was 15 minutes to the beach. Great bus access to both Split and the airport. I would come here again very happily.
Definitely recommended and I am still missing the city.

This apartment was well equipped and had gorgeous views over Trogir. We enjoyed our stay. The Island itself had lovely beaches and restaurants, and Trogir and surroundings were very interesting. The daily market was lots of fun. The host Liliana was most gracious. For sure, a lovely place to stay off the beaten track! Good value!.

We stayed in this lovely apartment and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in this area. The spacious balcony was like an additional room and the views were amazing!! We quite happily sat out eating meals/ having drinks and watching the sun set over Trogir. There are excellent fruit/ veg and fish markets in Trogir making it very cheap to cook your own food.
Lilianna, the croatian contact was also very helpful and friendly. She met us in Split to take us to the apartment and had lots of useful information about the area.
