Our best vacation !!

Halz Khartoum, Sudan
Review Submitted: August 29, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
This is an excellent spot for a quiet and relaxing vacation. This gated community was quiet, safe and very clean. It had a very nice fresh water pool.

The house was clean, well furnished with all the extras to just unpack and begin relaxing. Everything was in good order and working properly. The shaded patio over looking the ocean was the highlight for my family of 5. We ate every meal on the patio and it was fantastic.

Another incredible extra was the electric tram outside the back gate of the complex. There is really no need to rent a car...this tram takes you everywhere you need to go. Just a few tram stops away is a hugh Carrefour very close to the tram stop....an easy walk even with groceries. The tram can also take you to dozens of different beaches and quaint villages. The beaches range from small rocky coves to beautiful white sand beaches 8 kms long. Alicante is a super medium size town for shopping, eating and sightseeing.

Another plus was dealing with the owner. She was very helpful, prompt and flexible in working with us.

I would definitely rent this place again and recommend it to anyone looking for a place on the Spanish coast.
Owner's Response: I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time
to write such wonderful reviews. I try to be as helpful, flexible and informative as possible as I know a holiday is a really important event in every families yearly calendar.
Thanks once again to you all.

A home from home in the Spanish sun

November Song Northern Ireland
Review Submitted: November 6, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
Our first communication with the owner, Jan , was an easy and pleasant experience. She was helpful, accomodating, informative and welcoming and these qualities were reflected throughout our stay in her lovely villa in Venta Lanuza.
It was like moving into the home of a friend-everything we needed was there and accessible-and the welcome pack so thoughtfully provided, contained all that was required to settle in and have a tasty meal after a long journey from our home in Northern Ireland.
Venta Lanuza is a hilly little spot (great for walking off the pounds your'e almost certain to accumulate with the plenitude of good food and wonderful local wine available in restaurants in nearby El Campello, Villa Joyosa or any of the towns between Alicante and Benidorm. )
Jan's villa has a friendly feel about it -comfortable and brightly furnished , with a great patio area where the sun shone from dawn til dusk and the retractable canopy offered shade if rquired. We ate all our home cooked meals out there and enjoyed the sea in the distance (great view of this from the upstairs balcony).and listened to birdsong in October. As well as the excellent tv facilities there were some very good dvds and even books by favourite authors!
The villa is perfectly situated for easy access to the the tram . We enjoyed exploring the local area and the markets are a delight for lovers of fresh fruit and vegetables, olives, oils, local cheeses, breads and all that is best about Spanish produce.
Back home in bleak November we get a warm glow every time we think of it. Cant wait to return!

An Excellent Holiday

Holiday-lover94 England
Review Submitted: October 23, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
The house was clean, fresh and awaiting for us when we arrived. We have now been four times and would gladfully go again. The facilities are amazing, a clean fresh pool for young and old, a golden sandy beach just across the road and an electronic gate for security. The neighbhouring towns of El Campello and Villa Joyosa are beautiful with many restaurants and bars that are family friendly. It is easy to have a really enjoyable day out at these places which are also very eay accessable with the tram.
The house itself is spotless and is obviously very cared upon. Both bedrooms were very roomy and comfortable with air conditioning for those hot days. The bathroom is spacious with a clean bath and shower. Downstairs the modern kitchen is a helping hand for those who want to cook. The laundry facilities are clear and easy to use, along with a very good iron. The living room is perfect for those who may want to stay out of the sun for a few hours, or just relax in at night and possibly watch a few hours of English television. The CD and DVD player also comes in handy at those times.
Overall I had a fantastic stay, again, and would definitley return. There is something very special about eating a meal on a patio whilst looking at the sea.

Perfect Location

Washingtons Staffordshire
Review Submitted: October 6, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2008
This was our first to Venta Lanuza and definitely not our last. The town house was in the perfect location with a short stroll to a secluded sandy bay. You dont need to hire a car the tram is right on your doorstep, it will take you to Benidorm or Alicante in about 30mins for less than 4 euros return and dont worry there is no noise from the trams to spoil your holiday its the quietest one I have ever seen. The house was spotless and very well equipped with everything you could possible need for your stay. We enjoyed sitting on the patio just relaxing and listening to the waves. Thank you Jan for a really enjoyable holiday.

Fantastic getaway and hope to return again!

Review Submitted: June 16, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
From the moment I stepped in this holiday house I knew me and my partner had chosen a perfect location.
I have recently spent two weeks at this beautiful beach house. The house was perfectly furnished and offers all the facilities and comfort you wish for on holiday. The stunning sea view from the balcony is definitely a picture that will stay with me forever.

Due to the great kitchen facilities, you may wish to do a bit of a food shop at the start of your holiday. There is a large supermarket chain known as Mercadona in on of the nearby towns. They offer a great service where you can buy your shopping and they will deliver it to you at your chosen time.

The outdoor facilities of the house are great. The house has a private paved area with patio furniture. This is a lovely area to enjoy a few drinks/meal if you do not feel like venturing far from the house. There is a retractable canopy on the patio area which offers the option of shade, ideal for those people that do not like to sit in the sun 24/7.

The house is conveniently located 50m away from the sunny coved beach which you have a beautiful view of from the house. There is nice beach bar just on the way to the beach (not even a five minute walk away) which offers good meals and drinks from dawn till dusk. There is a communal pool situated near the house which is a great place to relax and take a dip.

If you fancy an evening stroll which me and my partner enjoyed doing every so often to see the local area, there are a few further bars which serve food just up the road (about a 20-25 min walk but you can also catch the bus which will get you there in 5 mins).

The beauty of this location is you do not have to rely on a car as public transport is readily available very close by, via a very nice public bus and a train line which runs to many towns and cities including the likes of Alicante and Benidorm.

I would recommend taking a ride on the train as it will take you to further beautiful towns which offer good places to eat, explore, shop or just to take in the sun on the glorious sandy beaches. My favourite has to be Villajoyosa. The beach is lovely and there is also a market where you can experience the Spanish culture in its true form.

El Campello is a beautiful location with many bars and restaurants. Judy (a friend of the owner's property) was also a great help who was always available to offer advice or tips. Thanks to Jan for offering us a lovely place to stay!

Lovely Tranquil Setting

The Stourbridge Pair Stourbridge, West Midlands
Review Submitted: May 19, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We have just returned from spending eight days at this lovely townhouse. We were four adults and one 7 month old baby. Jan was very pleasant and helpful, she arranged for a travel cot during our stay for her which was excellent. The house is in a small, quiet and well kept complex, complete with a communal pool which was also very well kept. We were greeted promptly by Judy who showed us around the house and offered any advice that she could. The property was well maintained, clean and fully met our requirements for a great holiday. There was even a supply of beach equipment, which is something that you do not usually find left for your use, and ideal as there is a small pleasant beach opposite the property. We loved the tranquility of the area and the view over the sea which was delightful when you woke up every morning. El Campello is just a few minutes by car up the road and we found this to be a pleasant little town with a nice beach and plenty of restaurants, If you want something busier and want to go to a large market then Benidorm is not far away. If you do not have a car there is a tram line which is great for getting around and takes about half an hour to get into Benidorm. All in all this location was excellent for us and we would recommend it to anyone who would like a peaceful holiday but with other amenities within an easy distance. Many thanks Jan for a lovely holiday and we hope to book again with you soon. Kathy and Steve

Wonderful spot in Costa Blanca

jan and angela Brampton,Ontario,Canada
Review Submitted: October 24, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
Oct. 2008. Just returned from Venta Lanuza. Spent 5 wonderful days in this house. The house has all the amenities, including a washing machine, which is perfect for travellers. Short walk to the pool and the beach, which has a lovely sand bottom. The beach was not crowded and so there was lots of privacy. The house was roomy, clean and very well maintained. The owner did everything to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Her friend was available at all times to ensure things were working properly ( we had no problems) but it was nice to know that there was assistance if we needed it. She was also a "guidebook" for places to visit. We had a car, which made sightseeing easier but, there is a local tram, which takes you to nearby towns for shopping etc. We ate at the nearby Jet Set bar as the food was very good and reasonably priced. The locals there were very friendly and we had wonderful company every evening. English is not a problem in this area. The area itself is very quiet, not touristy and yet you have all the trappings a short drive away. There are many small towns and villages to explore on day trips and still have time for the beach. I would definitely return to this home again, and hope to in the near future.

Holiday in this property

Cronshaw Wolverhampton West midlands England
Review Submitted: September 10, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2007
I have stayed in this property twice, August 2006 and July/August 2007.

The house was lovely, very clean and well equipped including a washing machine,
you could see the Mediterranean sea from the bedroom windows, and wake up to the sound of waves every morning.

The local beach is in easy walking distance, with lovely golden sand and a short walk took you to the Jet Set beach bar, where a full English breakfast costs about 3 euros

The public transport was very good.
The local bus that takes you into the nearest town El campello could be caught about two hundred yards from the house and the train station is about four hundred yards from the house, we liked going into Benidorm which cost the equivalent of £1.50

There were a number of days that we spent doing stuff to entertain the children, even though they were quite happy to swim in the sea!

Terra Mitica
This was a good day out as you walked through themed ancient lands Egypt, Rome Greece etc there were also rollercoaster riders and log fume etc
Aqualandia & Mundomar Benidorm a full day ticket for a family allowed you to access both parks(located next to each other) Aqualandia is a water park with lots of slides, water rapids and waterfalls in the lagoon area
Munador is another good attraction with dolphin shows and a zoo.

In El Campello we found a place called Zambira for 28 euros each you could enjoy Tappas and an evenings entertainment of traditional flamenco dancing and music absolutely brilliant.

La Villa joiyossa which is a couple of stops past Venta lanuza on the train, again a lovely beach, massive market that's really cheap and a chocolate factory another good day out.

I would recommend staying at this venue for a brilliant holiday, there is something for everyone!

Superb

SPG England
Review Submitted: September 1, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
We first visited this property in Venta Lanuza in 2006 and have been there every year since and will be returning again in 2009. We had never before booked a holiday which wasn’t a package holiday, but the friendliness, helpfulness and communication from the owner made it easy and with pickups to and from the airport and a nice welcome from Judy the caretaker to show us around, we needn’t have worried.

The villa is in pristine condition, spacious, light and airy with brand new kitchen, sofas and beds recently installed, all the mod-cons (washing machine, microwave, etc) which gives you a home from home feeling but with great sunshine and a clean pool.

The villa also has a beautiful enclosed veranda, which overlooks the sea and catches the sun all day (sun beds, patio table and chairs already to relax in). Having security gates around the complex and the villa is also a great comfort to parents.

With a beautiful beach across the road and the tram station next to the complex (VERY QUIET TRAMS) what more could you want. The trams run from Alicante to Denia and are exceptionally cheap, fast and comfortable.

There are not many places to go in Venta Lanuza, but it is only a couple of tram stops away from El Campello with lots of restaurants and bars on a beautiful promenade and beach. It also has quite a few large, well stocked supermarkets. This place is perfect for romantic couples, families with young children and people who just like peace and quiet. Or if you want more night life, head the other way to Benidorm.

Our family cannot recommend this accommodation or its owners enough. We just can’t wait to get back.
