The apartment is filled with the most amazing selection of morrocon and 70's furniture .You will not run out of different places to sit ! We will return !

A lovely week in Essaouira with our toddler

Review Submitted: June 2, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We had a fantastic week staying at Sarah and Majid's apartment in Essaouira. It was perfect with our 15 month old who was safe to toddle everywhere as the apartment is all on one level. He really enjoyed the terrace which was safely enclosed and we especially enjoyed being so close to the souks where we bought wonderful fresh fruit, vegetables and fish, and enjoyed cooking in the evenings. We had fantastic days on the beach and exploring the souks and even managed a bit of windsurfing at one of the local centres. All in all it was the perfect holiday and we hope to return soon! Thanks to your family in Essaouira who were friendly and helpful and welcoming. It was reassuring to have people we could contact if we needed anything.

Lovely surprise

This spacious and airy apartment was the perfect retreat for our family during our stay in Essaouira. Great location...right in the middle of the spice market and across from the internet cafe! Very clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast on the terrace (fresh bread and honey every morning from shop around corner) was a great way to start the day! Enjoyed wandering the alleys and streets of the medina, relaxing on the beautiful beach, and early morning walks to see the fishing boats come into the harbor. Fatima and Omar very helpful and available! A wonderful find and place to call home while in Essaouira!

Fabulous accommodation in Essaouira

Don't be put off by the entrance - a fabulous treat awaits you up the stairs. The apartment is very central and the local traders very helpful - local food markets and fresh bread right close by - you're right in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the souks and can throw open the window and take in all the sights and sounds - particularly thrilling, the call of the muezzin - and yet so quiet inside - especially peaceful at night when you need it.

Beautifully decorated with lots of interesting art, lamps, moroccan features. Very comfortable with lots of cushions and so spacious. Welcome roof terrace which catches the sun at various times of day.

Sarah and Majid's family very helpful in settling us in and giving us lots of hot tips on where to go and what to do.

Essaouira is a place to wander and chill. We loved it and would definitely recommend it for like-minded families with teenage girls who want local facilities on tap, a refuge to escape and generally just enjoy a laid back comfortable time.

Essaouira's hidden gem

Review Submitted: April 19, 2008 Date of Stay: December 2007
This is an amazing place, full of light and right in the heart of the medina. It is really comfortable and a haven from the hustle and bustle of the adjoining street markets. Sarah and Majid are lovely and spent time making sure that we had all the inside track on the best places to visit in Essaouira.

The flat was immaculate and beautifully presented with quirky art and some funky 70s lights and furniture. Hot water on tap - bath and shower. We paid an extra £3 a day for the wonderful Habiba who came, washed up, did the washing and made the place sparkle every mornng. Luxury!!

It is one of the best holidays I've ever had. Thank you Sarah & Majid. We're definitely coming back.
