Calpe - a marvellous holiday experience

Whist Luton Bedfordshire
Review Submitted: April 14, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2007
This villa is just as it is described. We have visited twice and both times have enjoyed the villa and surrounding area, particularly the beach in Calpe. The villa is beautiful, standing in it's own large grounds and peaceful surroundings. The pool is ideal for a family and have spent many happy hours swimming in it, playing and sunbathing round it. The ameneties within the villa are superb and have not found it wanting in any way, and have not felt the need to wander far from it. The holidays were an excellent experience and one I hope we will be able to enjoy again sometime soon.

Great holiday in perfect villa

Review Submitted: September 25, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Stayed in villa catalina in September 09. It is very close to beach and shops (5 mins in car). Villa was spotless, spacious and so well equiped with everything we needed. Views from villa are lovely and a fantastic pool. Taxi's found it hard to find villa (there are so many in the area) so we paid up to 17euro for taxi to promenade area, but it only cost 10euro from town to villa as we could then direct taxi driver. Security is of high standard also, with gates, walls, security blinds on windows and very secure front and rear doors. Open plan living, dining and kitchen area was great for our 2 year old running round, she loved the holiday and we had great peace of mind knowing the villa was so secure, clean and spacious. Highly recommend.

Wwell priced homely villa

Review Submitted: August 26, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
This villa has a nice open plan living area, and a very homely feel. It was well presented clean and welcoming. The villa was very much as described on the web site. It had everything we needed, including inflatables for the children to play with in the pool. The kitchen was well equipped, and even had mugs for a good old cup of tea. There was plenty of plates and dishes,so there was no worry of running out when the dish washer was on. It is in a very quite location, but only 10 minutes from the main town. Our children spent many hours playing in the good sized pool, while we chilled on the shaded naya. We spent a couple of evenings at the villa, and even found game to play with the children on the book shelf. Having 2 bathrooms was a nice extra. Also the outside shower when we returned from the beach, especially with children. We will recommend this property to family and friends. Unfortunately we had problems locating this villa. No fault of the owners, but because ther was no signage on the spanish roads.Once we found the main road mentioned, the directions were easy. This is a nice homely villa, with everything you could need from a holiday home. Unless you are one of these people who can't live without T.V although there is satalite tv here we could not get it to work. Although there are plenty of dvd's to watch, and the player worked fine. We would love to visit again, but maybe not in August as there is no air con. A very good holiday was had by all. Regards sharon Robin and family

A Home Away From Home

The Swedish Bunch Stockholm, Sweden
Review Submitted: August 22, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The best way to put it is simply to say that Villa Catalina (in addition with a rental car) has everything you need for a relaxing vaccation. The description of the property is accurate and the owner provided excellent customer service. Without hesitation we would recommend this property to anyone planning a vaccation in the Costa Blanca Area.

Review Submitted: May 23, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
just recentley spent a week here with my parents, hubby and my 2 kids aged 7 and 4. We had a lovely relaxing week. The villa itself is well equipped. I would recommend hiring a car as there isnt really any shps etc within easy walking distance. Calpe has a lot to offer for a quiet family holiday, lovely beach. The owner of this villa is very organised , and there is lots of useful info in the Villa. Would definately recommend this villa to others

We spent a week in Villa Catalina in November and found it to be well maintained, very clean with plenty of info on the equipment and also restaurants and places to visit. We needed to use the heating in the evenings but found the radiators very efficient and simple to use. It is located in a quiet residential area, ideal if you want a quiet relaxing holiday but only a short distance from many of the livelier resorts on the Costa Blanca. The owner was very promt in replying to my emails and the transactions went without a hitch. We would definately recommend this villa to friends and hope to visit again.

Villa Catalina July 2008

KSP Ayrshire, Scotland
Review Submitted: July 30, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
This property is accurately described and provides a clean, well equipped, modern, Spanish home from home for your holiday. The location is on a hillside about 1 mile back from the beach/resort but not really walkable and there are no shops within walking distance either. Our family of 4 including a 5 year old and 6 year old had a very relaxing holiday and our only suggestion if taking TV loving children would be to take some DVD's as the satellite channels only had English speaking on the news. We stayed for 1 week and visited Terra Mitica and Mundomar at Benidorm and also the old town at Calpe (all worth the visit) otherwise we spent our days by the pool or at the beach. Calpe has an abundance of restaurants and all were child friendly. You need to know some Spanish to visit this town don't expect the locals to do all the work.

My stays at the Villa Catalina, Calpe

Me and My. Peterborough
Review Submitted: March 21, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2007
My Wife and I have stayed three times at the Villa Cataline at Calpe, twice in Spring and once in the Autumn. It really is a lovely modern villa with a very nice pool and a lovely garden and patio. Set in a residential area it is quiet but within easy reach of the beach, restaurants and shops. Whenever we arrived the villa was very well prepared and welcoming - always clean and comfortable! If you like barbecuing, I don't, be prepared for a treat! Superb barbecue, a lovely round stone dining table and secluded dining area - all alongside the pool. My Wife and I prefer eating out and there are some very nice restaurants in Calpe. We are taking our daughter and son-in-law on our next visit as they like a hectic night life. Calpe has plenty of that and a short ride away in either direction is Benidorm to the South and Moraira to the North. If you have never been to this area the weather is usually 95% gorgeous in Spring and Autumn! 100% during the summer. By the way, Benidorm is wonderful for all ages. Superb beaches and a Water Park and for more mature couples lovely restaurants and every kind of entertainment. The owners provide a very good customer service and the facilities within the villa are very modern and the place is nice and comfortable. They provide a book giving plenty of information about the area so that anybody who stays there will know what to do and where to go - peronally we preferred to sunbathe on the very comfortable sunbeds by the pool!

Review Submitted: March 3, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2007
Superb villa and pool in quiet residential area. Villa wonderful - clean, bright and modern. Pool and garden carefully maintained to highest standards by owners. Villa and pool are private and secluded.
Calpe has great beaches, lots of good places to eat, and don't miss the local Fiestas!
We have stayed at this property twice, and have recommended it to friends and family as a superb place to stay for a great holiday - whether you want peace and quiet, or to go the short distance to the beaches and town.
