Reviews of Property: Modern central spacious apartment -75 m2

We were thrilled to find this apartment. It had everything we needed, was quiet, immaculate and handy for shopping. Public transport is easy but it's also close enough to the centre of town to walk. The owner was marvellous. Certainly the best UK apartment we stayed in. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed 26th - 28th Sept 2009. Great stay owner was very helpful in pointing out the best ways to get to places and great ideas for places to eat. Flat is about 10 - 15 minutes walk from town all on flat, but could get a red bus all the way in, if you did not fancy a walk - £3 for an all day ticket, which was a bargain. Carol provided breakfast cereals & breakie things which was great way to start the day.
There is a Sainbury's in the retail park 2-3 min from frint door so can pick up other bits very easily. Also locally a KFC in the park for those rainy days. Having the use the parking space was great, we came and left the car there all weekend as so easy to get about.
If looking for something to do could recommend the whisky experience on the royal mile, great even for a non whisky fan, very interesting and the barrel ride and tasting was good, Silver tour was £11 per person and Gold £20 (with 5 drams - could if u like a wee tipple).
I have family that are coming up from downsouth and will be recomending they stay for when they visit Edinburgh.

This is a lovely flat in a great location within easy walking distance of the Royal Mile (bottom) and with plenty of buses available to get you around to all the venues. We had a lovely few days. The location itself is not picturesque, next to a shopping retail park, although this was convenient for supplies from Sainsbury's. The owner is very thoughtful in leaving the flat ready for us taking into account our two children, though her aim was probably more suited to younger children, I would have been very happy to stay here with younger children and would recommend it for families. If there are any disadvantages they are all related to it being a flat, so: on the top floor, for unloading suitcases, no lift, quite stuffy, though we were not in much so not really a problem, noisy neighbours/educating our bouncy children about the etiquette of living in a flat so maybe we were the noisy neighbours, and very squeaky doors, so we just propped them all open, made going to the loo in the night interesting. These were minor things though which could have been annoying if we had stayed longer but were outwayed by a great stay in a great city.

Prior to our visit we had exchanged e mails with the owner about various things ie restaurants, directions, facilities etc. This alone was very helpful and proved invaluable.
Directions superb and we were met by the owner who showed us round explained everything and answered all our questions.
The flat itself was equiped beyond expectation and the resources left made it almost 'bed and breakfast' without being in such an establishment.
The property was very clean, in good repair and was very well equiped. Could not have asked for more.
It even had a DVD library as well as large quantity of Cd's.
we would definitely recommend this property and will use it again ourselves.

Location excellent for everything you would want to do in Edinburgh. Flat was extremely clean, comfortable, has everything you could need, a true home from home.
Friendly welcome by Carol, would recommend this flat to anyone. Very quiet neighbours. Would love to stay again.
