A wonderful summer holiday

Richar London
Review Submitted: February 13, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2008
We stayed at Mulberry Cottage during the summer of 2008 and enjoyed a truly fantastic time. Lynn and her family are the perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble and indeed we were treated more like visiting friends rather than people renting a property. With 2 young children (a 3 year old and a 9 month old), Mulberry Cottage proved to be a perfect location, with access to many activities in close proximity and a wonderful salt water pool to enjoy if we stayed at home.

All in all, we had a very relaxing time and our kids loved the experience so much, which in turn made our experience very enjoyable! We can't thank Lynn, Peter and their 2 sons enough for making our summer 2008 such a lovely time and would definitely recommend this property, purely as a place to stay, but especially for the effort the owners take to make sure your holiday is a great one. We will definitely be back!

Mulberry Cottage Memories

From the time our hostess fetched us from the airport we were treated with such hospitality and interest that I don't think we could have enjoyed our trip half as much if we had stayed in Nice as we had planned .The cottage and setting was just as described in the website The travel facilities were very convenient and the host is a mine of information about the area and the artists .She also , on the last day ,at twilight ,recommended we walk to the hill town of Mougins .That was really memorable .I can really recommend a stay at Mulberry Cottage.

Marvellous Mulberry Cottage

Review Submitted: October 28, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
Mulberry Cottage is a beautiful, tranquil and charming place to holiday and provides delightful accommodation in a picturesque setting. Terraced gardens, a lovely pool, and gorgeous views across the valley make it an idyllic setting for time away. Close to all the beautiful places, Mulberry Cottage is an ideal base for sightseeing. The owners couldn't be more welcoming or helpful and it was they who really made this a very special holiday. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it.

Spacious rooms, nice and quiet, with fantastic views of Mougins from the pool, and only a 10-minute walk to the heart of the village centre. We absolutely loved the place and plan to tell everyone about how wonderful Mulberry Cottage is when looking for a place to relax.

Tranquil Getaway

Mulberry was recommended by friends and it surpassed our every expectation. Perfect setting and surrounds. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. Even without a car, getting to the superb restaurants and galleries in Mougin was easy and the public transport to Cannes, Monte Carlo, Antibe could not have been easier. The hosts were charming and very knowledgeable about the area.

Should we ever get to the South of France again, there is no doubt I would try and stay at Mulberry Cottage.

Neat, clean, super-relaxing

Lovely, bright cottage, very clean and well presented. Rooms nicely separated if you have kids so you can have a bit of privacy and tone down the snuffling and giggling. Also nicely secluded as well and it was a bonus to have a bit of privacy and a route to the pool. The pool was great, clean and well-maintained, and absolutely fantastic lying on the loungers in the sun sipping aperos and going for soothing dips.

We were made very welcome and we took advantage of the tour offered, had a great time, a good laugh and we thought they were excellent hosts.

There's also a great little village across the way, full of art galleries, and I mean decent art galleries, sculptures and, of course, regular bars where you can quench the raging thirst and some very nice restaurants too.

There's also Juan Le pins which has a great little jazz bistro, very intimate little venue which is in easy reach, and of course the beaches and all quite nearby. There's also the shopping centre down the road which supplies essentials like hairdressers and health shops and bars, and of course, nearby markets too...basically anything that you have a yen to do, you can very easily and with minimum fuss, do!

Really, we didn't actually need to travel far & wide to have a truly relaxing, fun, and active holiday. The nice thing is that it's not quite the beaten track, so you don't sort of shuffle up onto the next tourist's flip-flops as you try walk up a street and there's plenty of space to breathe.
We'll definitely be coming to Mulberry Cottage again, and thank you so much for taking the trauma out of the family holiday!

I stayed in Mulberry Cottage for a short break and it ticked all the boxes for me. It was in a beautiful setting, the cottage is gorgeous and impeccably clean - a must for me!, it was kitted out to perfection, it was very comfortable, the swimming pool was lovely - again, impeccably clean and most of all the family were very welcoming and Lynn was there to address any issues/problems - glad to say we had none.
I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing break in a lovely part of France. I will be back!!!

Charming, comfortable cottage with character.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cottage. It is very well equipped, comfortable, and was spotlessly clean on our arrival.

The English-speaking owners were extremely helpful with a wealth of information on local areas of interest and places to visit. A car would be advantageous for longer trips (I highly recommend AquaSplash in Antibe for a lovely family day out) but the local shops are within walking distance, as is Mougan village (better to go in the evening when it is cooler). It is also easy to catch a bus into Cannes to go to the beach. The nearby village of Valbonne hosts a wonderful market and some very good restaurants. We also had a fantastic day at La de Casienne, hired a paddleboat and swam in the beautiful clear lake, enjoying a picnic at lunchtime. The use of the shared pool was a big bonus in the heat if we did not feel like going out.

The cottage is an ideal position, offering privacy and access to a host of delights. A wonderful place to stay!

My regular holiday venue

For the past few years I have been going back to Mulberry Cottage for my holidays as it is just the most charming, comfortable and relaxing place, in my opinion. There is everything that one could possibly desire and more! The owner is extremely helpful and accommodating and makes one feel very much 'at home'. The setting of the cottage is private and close enough to supermarket, restaurants and beaches. I discovered a small restaurant in Valbonne where the food is excellent and they have live jazz music twice a week - perfect for a jazz-lover.
Art and beauty abound in the area around Mulberry cottage which makes it a perfect getaway from the humdrum daily routine. I have recommended it to many friends and acquaintances, some of whom have already taken advantage of going to Mulberry cottage for their holidays.

A great stay in Mougins

Review Submitted: October 2, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2007
Very conveniently situated being close to Nice airport and a few minutes off the main highway but in a very quiet cul de sac. Beautiful view of old hilltop village which is lit up at night and has some stunning restaurants.
The cottage has everything that one needs for a relaxing, self-catering holiday. Supermarket 5 minutes down the road. It is clean and neat and has a washingmachine and drying line outside, and the pool is fabulous and big and always warm. Outside area great for evening drinks and meals. All in all the accomodation was as advertised and was very pleasant and would definately recommend to a friend. In fact we already have.
