What a Great Getaway!

My wife and I have traveled to Canet for several years now and stayed in this rental for the first time on this trip. All we can say is WOW! The transaction was simple, the owner was so easy to work with. The Apt was absolutely what we were looking for.
It was clean, well furnished, views to die for, close to everything, ( most importantly the bakery! ) and in the Northern strip of Canet where it was very quiet. No need for a car here. Just walking and bicycles will suffice. It was 2 weeks of great R&R and spending time with our French friends who own a restaurant 3 blocks away, called La Casa..( I can't say enough about these people or the food they serve other than you must try them! )
My wife and I will stay here again and can't wait to book our next trip.

Top Spot!!

We (2 adults & 2 kids) had a brilliant time in this apartment in Canet. The location is fantastic...Seconds from the beach, shop, restaurants, public transport, etc. Also good kids' playground near the Post Office and bus stop to Perpignan (well worth a visit too!). The apartment was clean and well-maintained with all the needs for a family of 4. It was spacious enough to 'escape' from the kids...The balcony being the best spot to unwind with a drink or 2! The beach is typical Mediterranean with lovely sand and warm water. There are a couple of great bakeries nearby and even a market on some days. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a break/holiday in the area.

I visited Canet Plage in June 2007 with my husband and two teenage daughters. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped and in an ideal location with the wide sandy beach directly opposite. After spending a few hours on the beach it was lovely to retreat to the balcony during the hotest parts of the day and enjoy the lovely view. Lots of dining al fresco is recommended. The people in Canet are very friendly and both my daughters enjoyed wandering around the market, boutiques and cafes on their own. There is also a marina nearby and this offers a change of scene from the beach. There are ample restaurants, bars and cafes to suit everyone and the prices are good. If you're feeling like some exercise I would recommend the walk to Canet Sud which passes the crazy golf, which definitely brought out our competitive natures. The best shopping for us was in Perpignon and while we were busy my husband enjoyed walking by the river and exploring the old church which has some stunning stained glass. Canet Plage was a lovely spot for a short break and we would like to return again soon.

My husband & I went at the beginning of May and had glorious weather although it was very windy on 1 of the days. The apartment is very secure and comfortable and tastefully furnished, the view from the balcony is stunning. The balcony at the back gets late afternoon sun. Beach is great. Bars & restaurants are friendly and really good food at reasonable prices. Small clothes boutiques are great prices and local shops are great for wine and food and the markets are even better. Definitely take a trip to Perpignon, the bus service is great at 1 Euro and very clean and punctual. Not many places speak English but we got by. We will definitely go again.

Mediterrean life style on your door step

I have stayed in this Canet flat twice, once with my husband and once with a girl friend, during the summer months and on both occasions have had a very relaxed time. Everything is on hand and so easy that you don't even need a car because it's all is on your doorstep. This is a very french town with not many english accents about but the language barrier is never a problem, especially if you try a few words of french! There are many very reasonable resaurants to try and the local wine from the 'cave' round the corner is lovely and something like £1 a litre. Sitting on the balcony watching the world go by at anytime of day if just great but during the evening in late August you get to have a ringside seat for the local firework displays that go on everynight all along the coast. The flat was well equiped with everything we needed, even CD's and videos.

The wide sandy beach is directly opposite the flat and the town is just a short walk away with a good variety of shops for both food and souvenirs. We took the bus to Perpignon, well worth a visit, which is a large town with a beautiful old are of streets to wander round. Next time we visit we intend to hire a car and explore a bit further afield.

I have both flown to and arrived by train in Perpignon. The train takes a little longer but is very relaxing. Either way both have taxi's waiting to take you directly to Canet Plage.

Do not miss out on this great apartment in Canet.

I have stayed in this apartment twice now, the last time being April 2008. This really speaks for itself. The apartment is clean, spacious and comfortable. Everything you need for a self catering holiday is provided for. It's balcony has a view over the sea and beach to die for! It is in an excellent location for local amenities and provides an excellent base for exploring the towns, villages and attractions in the area, and is only approx. 20 minutes easy drive from Perpignon airport. The town of Canet provides all the usual amenities like restaurants, shopping, market, children's attractions and it also has a wonderful large marina. I would definitely recommend this apartment as great value for money.

My husband and I stayed at this appartment for a short break recently. The property was in an ideal situation overlooking the wonderful beach and a very short walk away from shops, bars and restaurants. The appartment was clean, well maintained and well stocked. Both bedrooms were a good size. The owner was extremely helpful when making the booking and made useful recommendations on places to visit and eat. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and would happily return again.
