Simply Perfect!

Review Submitted: August 12, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We have just returned from a two week holiday in this beautiful villa.

The villa itself has all mod cons - they really have thought of everything! Beautifully presented, well thought out design and extensively kitted out to a very high standard! Fantastic air con in all bedrooms, ensuite facilities with every bedroom together with a very useful shower room near the pool. We were two families, each with two children, and there was more than enough space for everyone.

The pool and veranda is beautiful with lovely views and
the salt water is fantastic! We were slightly concerned initially about the location (as we're not golfers and were not sure about noise from the nearby road). Nothing to fear at all! Very, very peaceful with limited views of
the golf course itself, more of woodland and hills beyond. Beautiful vineyards nearby too! The owner and housekeeper were very welcoming and helpful.

The highlight was a fabulous day on the beach at St Croix (pedalos and canoes to hire), near Gorges du Verdon, having seen the stunning Gorges, as well as lavender and sunflower fields en route - perfect! Much of our time was spent reading by the pool however, enjoying the beautiful weather, eating, drinking and chilling.

This villa would suit anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed holiday in very comfortable surroundings. Ideal for both golfers and non-golfers alike. We have visited Provence three times and would definitely say this was the best!

Perfect Holiday Location

Kilkenny gang Kilkenny, Ireland
Review Submitted: August 24, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Have just completed a heavenly two weeks in this villa. It exceeded our expectations in terms of facilities. It was very hot during the holiday but the air conditioning was fantastic as was the pool.
We used it as the perfect base for exploring Provence - white water rafting in the Verdon river (1 hour north), exploring the Isles d'Hyeres (1 hour south) and the many pretty towns and villages in between. We also spent quite a lot of time in the villa itself as we read many of the books provided in the winter salon, watched some of the DVD's and lounged by the pool.
The kitchen was fully equipped with all conveniences you could wish for and the weber gas barbecue was brilliant and so easy to use.
The owner provided books and maps for the area as well as recommendations for restaurants. We were especially delighted with the welcome pack that awaited us when we reached the villa late on our first night as well as instructions to the only supermarket open on the following morning (Sunday).
The villa is very safe as it is accessed via electronic gates. There are no shops within walking distance so use of a car in necessary.
We would highly recommend this property.

Best Time Ever

Our family had a wonderful time at the villa, the property was very clean, well maintained with air con in all bedrooms (which was a great on those hot nights). The heated pool was a good tempreature for the children as our kids wont go in the really cold pools & the fact that it was salt water meant no sore eyes or hair like cardboard!!!!!
Excellent customer service from both owners and cleaning lady as they would help with anything you requested/needed.
Dont forget your french dictionary as the village is not a tourist place and not many speak english. Local restaurants were lovely not an englishman is sight which we really liked - true France. Excelllent food at reasonable prices. The cheapest petrol and supermarket is the one nearest to the villa. Vineyard just down the road too!!!
Aqualand Water Park was an easy drive and lots of fun as you can eat there or take a picnic. The beaches were lovely and less than an hour from the villa.
But we loved the villa so much we stayed in most of the time, cooking, drinking and just having fun.
We highly recommend the villa to families and groups of freinds to chill out and unwind as its so quiet and peaceful.
Deborah & David - West Sussex
Owner's Response: This part of Provence Verte continues to be relatively sheltered from the annual tourist tsunami that hits the coast further south. However, the beaches and coastal towns west of Cannes remain within easy reach from the Villa.

Excellent Stay in Provence

Brendan D Dublin, Ireland
Review Submitted: June 22, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Our family (four adults and three children ages 8 to 13) enjoyed a great week at the Villa for the first week of June. The villa was exactly as described - actually it was better. The heated swimming pool meant that the children spent from early morning in the pool. The large tiled area around the pool was a sun trap for those seeking bronzage. The library was a godsend for those looking for a cool quiet read.
The villa had a magnificent (though virtually unused by us) kitchen and a large dining area outside shaded by an electrically controlled awning. The adjoining barbeque got a good work out.
The villa is ideal for golfers although the golf course might test high handicappers to the limit (and test anyone's fitness level if using a pull trolley) and is also well located for exploring Provence. Brignoles itself is scarcely a destination town but Aix is within easy reach by motorway as are many other attractive towns.
There are a large number of local vineyards which can be visited and the product sampled without much driving.
To get to the villa is easy as it is virtually all motorway from Nice Airport (and also from Marseille) and the journey is a good 100 minutes.
I would heartily recommend the villa for a relaxing family holiday.
Owner's Response: We are glad our investment in air conditioning for the bedrooms and heating for the pool have both been a success.

Villa Rosetta

jamper Devon
Review Submitted: November 12, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
We stayed in this Villa in April and had a superb holiday. It is furnished and equipped to an exceptional standard and has more than enough room and facilities to easily house eight people in considerable comfort. There is an English housekeeper on call in case of emergency.

The first hole of the golf course is a short walk away, and the course is a challenging test of a player’s ability.

Many picturesque villages are within easy reach, as are coastal resorts such as St. Tropez, historical towns like Arles and Avignon and the Gorges du Verdun is a must!

With supermarkets and good restaurants in the attractive nearby town of Brignolles, this is a superb villa in an ideal location, it is sure to become very popular and we would recommend booking now while it is still an unknown gem and the rental is reasonable.
Owner's Response: A very perceptive review by highly discerning guests!

Perfect Holiday

Review Submitted: November 6, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
We stayed at Villa Rosetta in October and had wonderful weather and an excellent holiday. I think the most exceptional aspect of the holiday was the luxury and comfort of the Villa. We especially appreciated the Vi-spring beds and luxurious pillows - after all, we did go on holiday to relax, and a good sleep at night was wonderful! The house is immaculate and all the fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality. Sky Sport was much appreciated by some members of our party! This is a beautiful part of France and we enjoyed several days of sightseeing even though we could hardly tear ourselves away from Villa Rosetta. The golf course is excellent and challenging for golfers, and non-golfers in the party enjoyed walking round. It is impossible to write a well-rounded review of this property because we cannot think of any negative comments to make or any improvements to suggest! We cannot wait to make a return visit.
Owner's Response: It is tremendous to have such acknowledgement of our efforts to make Villa Rosetta such a comfortable place to be - and to sleep!

Lovely Villa

Review Submitted: September 29, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
This was a first for us. In 10 years of renting villas we had always felt slightly let down when arriving at the property given the way our hopes had been built up with the promotional literature and photographs - not so here. The villa is every bit as beautiful as those pictures. The owners take pride in the way they treat you; there is no compromising on the quality of furniture for example, which could have been so easy to do. The beds are nice, the suite is comfortable and the garden furniture is good quality. There was a very nice welcome pack of bread, coffee, fruit, wine etc which was a pleasant touch and showed that they were not all out for profit which was such a change.

The area was very quiet for us. We know Provence well and so we ventured out most nights or stayed at the villla except one night when we tried the recommended french restaurant in Cabasse where we were rudely refused entry unless we were willing to pay the full adult dinner rate for our children, the eldest of whom is 3. After that we did not bother with anything local especially as it seemed on the days we stayed in at the villa everything closed down at 10.30 and we gained the impression (wrongly perhaps) that the locals were not very friendly.

In terms of value this villa will be hard to beat especially if you have transport and are able to use it (as we did) as a base to get to the other towns such as Cannes and Nice; or if you take advantage of the golf which we did not. Overall good value and a pleasant property.

Home from Home with luxury added

Old oak Birmingham, UK
Review Submitted: September 14, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
Let me start by making it clear that anyone who has a problem with a few stairs would not find Villa Rosetta easy. It is built on the side of a hill with three floors plus the swimming pool terrace and is beautifully situated overlooking the golf course with a secure gated entrance (includes a few other properties as well) and an alarm. The entrance is halfway down the house into a balcony overlooking the TV lounge.

Each of the four bedrooms has a view of the courtyside, and its own en suite facilities which my wife and I prefer wherever we stay. The lower floor (ground or first depending on where you come from) has the two spacious lounges. One has all the TV and audio equpiment you could want on holiday and the other is ideal to sit, relax, read and chat. Between the two is a dream kitchen that we just had to use rather than spend much of our time away looking for restaurants. Local shops are a short drive away for provisions.

Outside the kitchen is the BBQ area and balcony overlooking the pool as well as the golf course and surrounding countryside. The pool is big with a great area to sit and relax as well.

We and our friends really agreed that Villa Rosetta had everything that was written about it and with three or four couples sharing, it represents fantastic value for money. If you like France and you like the area of Provence and don't mind giving the beach a miss, this is a must. We would certainly go back.

Without doubt the best holiday rental in France we have ever had. We definitely want to take it again. If there is a draw back it is that it is a bit far from the nearest beach but the property itself is superb and well equipped.

This accommodation is first class with every thing you need to enjoy a relaxing luxurious holiday.

We have stayed in many holiday villas thoroughout the world but this was by far the best.

Anyone who has a passion for golf will enjoy the superb golf course which is on the doorstep.

The owner of the property was extremley helpful and provided detailed information about the area and the property in advance of our stay.

We would recommend this property without hesitation and will return in the future.
