Nice location, nice flat

We chose this flat because of its location -- close to Paddington Station and close to Lancaster Gate tube station. Took the Heathrow connect (7 pounds) direct to Paddington and then it's a 3 block walk to George's flat. Another short walk to get to the tubes in Zone 1 which is the zone you want to be in for sightseeing central London.
The apartment is light, cheerful, wood floors, and is decorated minimalistically. The effect is refreshing. The kitchen is small but functional and there's a microwave, washing machine, TV, etc. There's no internet... many neighbors with wireless but all protected. There are several internet cafes very very close by, 99p for one hour.
The shower has low pressure and not too much hot water, so baths are out, but overall we were very pleased with the apartment. My wife and I slept in the bedroom, two kids on the pull out futon sofa, and George the owener provided an extra mattress that went on the living room floor, and he stopped back later to bring us some extra towels. George seems nice.
Nearby are shops, restaurants, and Paddington Station is like a shopping mall with restaurants, pubs, 2 grocery stores, Krispy Kreme donut shop.
This apartment was perfect for our 4 day visit to London with 3 small children.
Tip: you can catch a tour bus just a block away, halfway to the tube station. It's the Big Bus Company. This is a good choice for a first activity for sightseeing. You can pay on the bus.
Owner's Response: A new shower pump has now been installed giving good pressure. A wireless Internet facility is now available at a small additional charge, for those who require this service. Please ask for more information.
