Perfect!

I´ve been in London before but to my boyfriend was the first time. This flat is really perfect! It´s cozy.

The kitchen has everything to cook, the shower is really good and the everything is amazing! The mattress is very confortable and the sofa bed as well.

For tourists there is no best location, because is close with all that you need to see in London and 2 minutes walking to the tub station (is central line, never stops).

There are supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and entertainment in this area.

Last year I´ve been in London with some friends and we rented another flat, but I think usually the owners lie about the location but this flat is in a really good place .

Also the price is very good, especially if you share with more people.

I definitely recommended for a family, or a group of friends, I´m sure people will be a very good stay.

Fantastic location & perfect for access to all sorts of transport options (very close to 2 tube stations, bus terminal, etc). Area has many restaurants, bars & supermarkets.
George & Carmen gave very prompt & efficient service & apartment is tidy & well-equipped.
Great holiday location for us with our 2 children, age 4 & 6.

Not bad but...

I had the problem with the English beds- as many others.
The Sofabed war very cold, the Twinbed was very loud and quitching (absolutely no-go for just married).
But for England is normal, the beds haven not an European Standard.
Otherwise the apartment is very central and clean, and the owner helpful.
My tips: the kitchen is well equiped and you did't need as by many other holiday homes to take with you also salt, oil and pepper-thanks, Mr. George.
The nearest supermarkets are in the Paddington Station- it's easier as tourist to find them.

For people wo want to feel well, in spite of all.

I have spent 6 days in this apartment together with my family (4 people - 2 seniors and 2 adults). What I greatly valued in the apartment was: 1) great host - George was very quick, helpful and flexible in replying to requests and enquiries; 2) location - proximity to two metro stations, beautiful parks and Marble Arch - a bus stop for airport transfers; 3) price - it was the best price offered for apartments with similar space and location. I would definitely recommend the apartment for sightseeing visits to London.

For the price and bearing in mind that the houses in London are very expensive, the flat is reasonable/good.

For short stays, it is recommended.

Positive aspects: Located in a central area with transport very close and the price.

Negative aspects: Bathing is very difficult, the water has very little pressure; The beds, including mattresses are very bad. Sugestion: exchange of beds.
Owner's Response: A new shower pump has now been installed giving good water pressure and the mattress in the bedroom has been replaced.

We chose this flat because of its low cost. But eventually we got an excellent service for a reasonable price. Close to Hyde Park, Paddington train and tube stations. Apartment is located in Zone 1- so a travel card for zones 1&2 will be enough.

If you arrive there with a rental car – Hertz Marble Arch station is in one-two kilometers from here. So we brought our luggage to flat, and after this in a few minutes became free from the car.

The apartment is good enough for staying here family with two children but not too spacious. So you will wish spend a lot of time exploring London, not chill out in the flat. We found there nearly all what we need. The flat is really quiet. The bedroom is good enough with an excellent mattress. The futon bed in the living room was not so comfortable, but if you put on it an additional mattress (provided) and all unused covering – it will be acceptable.

Kitchen has full size oven and 4-hobs stove plate. It was enough for baking a pizza from supermarket in the evening and cooking eggs in the morning. I would like to suggest to George add some kitchen utensils – a couple of pots, cheese grater, real frying pan (we found only a tiny one, not suitable for cooking on my opinion), egg cups. It is possible, though, that by your visit the lack of kitchen items will be already corrected. For example, when we asked George brought us a pot, good for pasta cooking.

Anyway - you can find nearby enough pubs and cafe. So you don't have to cook there :)

George is very helpful. He answers quickly on e-mail, is reachable by phone. He gave us a phone number for a taxi service that really good and cheaper than others.

This apartment was perfect for our one week visit to London with 2 children – 14 and 10 years old.

Nice location, nice flat

We chose this flat because of its location -- close to Paddington Station and close to Lancaster Gate tube station. Took the Heathrow connect (7 pounds) direct to Paddington and then it's a 3 block walk to George's flat. Another short walk to get to the tubes in Zone 1 which is the zone you want to be in for sightseeing central London.

The apartment is light, cheerful, wood floors, and is decorated minimalistically. The effect is refreshing. The kitchen is small but functional and there's a microwave, washing machine, TV, etc. There's no internet... many neighbors with wireless but all protected. There are several internet cafes very very close by, 99p for one hour.

The shower has low pressure and not too much hot water, so baths are out, but overall we were very pleased with the apartment. My wife and I slept in the bedroom, two kids on the pull out futon sofa, and George the owener provided an extra mattress that went on the living room floor, and he stopped back later to bring us some extra towels. George seems nice.

Nearby are shops, restaurants, and Paddington Station is like a shopping mall with restaurants, pubs, 2 grocery stores, Krispy Kreme donut shop.

This apartment was perfect for our 4 day visit to London with 3 small children.

Tip: you can catch a tour bus just a block away, halfway to the tube station. It's the Big Bus Company. This is a good choice for a first activity for sightseeing. You can pay on the bus.
Owner's Response: A new shower pump has now been installed giving good pressure. A wireless Internet facility is now available at a small additional charge, for those who require this service. Please ask for more information.

Excellent Value for a Simple Flat

Review Submitted: April 10, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2007
This apartment is ideally located for sightseeing in London which was our main objective. We stayed comfortably, 2 adults with our 3 young children, and enjoyed more space for less money than a hotel room in central London.

The flat was clean, with adequate storage and room for our suitcases and clothes. The kitchen is small and there is basic cutlery and plates, enough for us to prepare simple continental breakfasts and to heat up take-aways, but not enough to prepare a meal. However, we weren't planning on cooking, so the kitchen suited us well.

The flat was at the back of the building and therefore very quiet and secure, with no street noise. We slept well and hardly heard the neighbours.

George, the owner was very helpful,. He called us to make sure that we had enough linens and running some over that very day when we requested more. He was also responsive via e-mail and telephone as we coordinated our arrival at the apartment. He was also able to provide good references from previous tenants of the apartment when I was deciding whether to book it.

The apartment is best suited to short stays. Besides a young families, it would probably suit a couple or two adults travelling together.
