Great Villa, Good Location!

We have just returned from a week at Casa Elouise.
Andrew and Else were waiting for us outside of Casa Elouise as we arrived and greeted us warmly and took
us through all of the rooms and appliances thoroughly.
It is a stunning villa with every appliance and utensil that you can think of.
There were 7 of us staying at the Villa and there was more than enough space for all. This is a extremely well maintained villa and very clean.
I have two young sons and they thoroughy enjoyed using the pool every morning.
There are also a couple of Restaurants on the beach, which come in handy when you first arrive at the Villa for your evening meal.
We also went into Monte Gordo Town which was busy, but had a very relaxed feel to it. You can walk to Monte Gordo
town along the beach, which took about 15-20 minutes to walk, which was lovely, we also took Taxi's which cost also used Taxi's which cost approximately 6 euros one way.
Andrew and Else were only a call away with any questions or problems that we had, which were few. They
make the experience of this lovely Villa even better.
Initially I was concerned about the money transfers etc as I had not used the Holiday-Rentals website before,
but do not worry everything is accounted for by Andrew and he issues receipts for any payments made.
I did not hire a car, but if you wish to travel further afield a car would be necessary.
Enjoy your stay at Casa Eloise, we certainly did. A big thanks to Andrew and Else.
One more thing if you have a chance have a luxurious bath in Jacuzzi bath downstairs!

We spent two fantastic weeks at Casa Elouise. It has just about everything you need for a great holiday. The little coffee shop/bakery round the corner will keep you in essentials, and are very friendly. The bars and restaurants on the beach are lovely and very relaxed (the fish is excellent). You don't necessarily need a car as taxis cost around 5€ each way to and from Monte Gordo. Andrew and Else will provide the numbers for English speaking taxis or better yet head up to the coffee shop for a cheeky beer, and they'll call the taxis for you. If you're happy to laze around the pool or head down to the beach, then stick with taxis. Monte Gordo is really unspoilt, and the people are really friendly. You won't be disappointed.

Gold medal accomodation!!!

Review Submitted: June 29, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
What can I say?! This villa was truly amazing and offered us everything that we could have asked for!

As a group of athletes on a warm-weather training camp, we were after somewhere that was spacious, quiet, clean, near to the athletics stadium, close to local ameneties and close to the beach / trails... not too much to ask for!! Normally you would expect to have to sacrifice 1 or 2 things from the 'wish list', but this time we didn't!

The Villa was amazing - clean, airy, homely... we didn't want to leave! The BBQ area was a personal favourite, and the pool was a perfect place to relax after a hard training session.

The beach and trails were literally 3 minutes away, and Monte Gordo itself was only a 15 minute walk. We had a hire car to get to the track and supermarket, but this never took any longer than 10 minutes to get to.

To top it off, Andrew and Else are two of the nicest people you will ever meet - thanks guys!!!

A wonderful holiday...fantastic villa and location

Well, we had a fantastic holiday staying at Casa Elouise! We were a family of 9, and there was so much space. The villa was fantastic, in a quiet location, the pool is larger than it looks in the photos, and it really is just a 5 minute walk to the beach, which is absolubtly beautiful - huge and sandy, and definatly not crowded! There are some great safe cycle tracks in the area too which make it safe and easy to get to nearby towns. I have a strong feeling we will be going back here at some point, both the villa and location were ideal, and everyone had a fab time. Thank you to the owners Andrew and Else who were also great and made our stay very welcoming!

Casa Elouise Wonderful place for the whole family

We wanted a place to chill out and relax and the villa succeeded at all levels. It has 4 terraces as well as balconies outside all the upper level bedrooms so everyone had their own space - but it was fantastic to have a huge table table to eat at al fresco by the inbuilt barbeque. Saying all that if you wanted bars, restaurants, shops etc the villa was close enough to Monte Gordo - was lovely to walk along the paths through the pine trees to gt there. The swimming pool and beach kept our children occupied for hours. Everything about Casa Elouise is of the highest quality and probably the highest compliment I can give it is that we have booked to go there again next year.

Lovely Villa!

The villa is situated in a peaceful location and it is much bigger than we had realised. It exceeded our expectations, very spacious and comfortable, very well decorated and equipped. We always ate outside since the villa as a gazebo just outside the kitchen, in the barbecue area, and even on those windy nights (we were there in September), it was very relaxing to have dinner outside.
The swimming pool was great, we used it a lot. The beaches are stunning, long and with golden sand, it is possible to walk for miles.

We were welcomed on arrival by the owners, who gave us information about the house and the area, they are very helpful and friendly.

Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and we highly recommend the villa! It is ideal for a relaxing holiday with the family.

Having rented many houses in the past we have found that whilst factual descriptions may be correct the actual experience can fall short of expectation, this is not the case with this property the description does not do it justice and I would say it compares favourably with five star hotel standard. It was immaculately clean and well presented the owners met us on arrival and could not have been more helpful, everything necessary was clearly explained by them and there was a good information pack in the house. We would happily return here and highly recommend it to anyone.

The layout of the house gives a central living area on the ground floor and two separate bedroom areas, upstairs two double rooms and a twin all with en suite bathrooms and downstairs a master double room with walk-in dressing room and large en suite bathroom, adjacent there is another bedroom with twin beds and a dual sofa bed, this gives a useful split to the accommodation, and was ideal for us as a large family with older and younger children, it should also suit sharers. The house is on a corner plot and because of the site layout is not overlooked, although it is semi-detached you are hardly aware of this because it is stepped back and the rear terrace is higher than the adjacent house. The position of the pool also gives a feeling of seclusion and privacy.

We stayed here without a car and found this easily possible. After using faro airport transfers minibus, booked online 110 euro return for up to eight people, We used taxis for traveling locally, to Villa Real which is where the large intermarche supermarket is and from where you can get the ferry to Ayamonte, Spain. Also to get to and from MonteGordo the nearby town although it is possible to walk there in about twenty minutes which we did on some occasions. Taxis are easily available, coming to the house by telephone booking and from the central rank if in the town, cost for four in a standard car about 5 euro to town and about 10 to the supermarket. There is a small shop with cafe a couple of minutes walk away and two restaurants on the nearby beach so no need to travel far at all some days.

The nearby beach is excellent and not crowded there are parasol/sunbeds for rent and a small number of pedalos, the restaurant has a daytime cafe and coffee shop but overall it is not too commercialised here, more extensive facilities, Jet skis and kite surfing, are about a twenty minute walk away along the beach.

We enjoyed a fantastic holiday in Casa Elouise, the villa exceeded our expectations it was beautifully furnished with an excellent layout and lovely atmosphere in a quiet area. Everything was clean and in first class order, with great cooking facilities and lots of space and a fantastic large pool. The lovely sandy beach was just a short 4 min walk perfect for evening strolls, there are beach restaurants and Monte Gordo is just 15 min walk along the beach or 5 min drive. The supermarket was also only 5 min drive. We would love to holiday here again in the future, the owners were very helpful and friendly we cannot recommend it enough.
