2nd time here!

Angel Eyes Dublin
Review Submitted: August 20, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
This was my 2nd time staying in this gorgeous apartment in Soller and I'm pleased to say it was as good as I remembered it. It really does have everything you could want in a holiday apartment!
The kids really enjoyed coming back to somewhere we had been before and were even more thrilled to discover that Victoria, the owner, had kept all their buckets and spades from last year!
I definitely noticed that Soller was much more child friendly compared to last year. A lot of restaurants etc now offer more basic meals for kids, which was great.
Prices in Soller have definitely gone up since last summer but it didn't stop us eating out, travelling everywhere to sightsee etc.
The beach (tram ride away) is still great, especially for kids.
All in all a great holiday and I hope to return again for future holidays.

Relaxing week in Soller

Review Submitted: June 12, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Just returned from a very relaxing chilled out week in Soller. The apartment is very comfortable. The facilities are excellent should you wish to dine in and the books and CD collection an extra bonus. The apartment is set in pretty gardens with stunning views of the mountains. A real treat to wake up to every morning. A five minute walk will take you to the main square where you will find a selection of good resturants, shops and market. The tram to the port is a must.
Victoria the owner was extremely helpfull throughout, and always happy to answer any questions that we had prior to travel. Arrangements for key collection was very straight forward and easy for the independant traveller. We would definately recommend these apartments and Soller .

4 very happy travellers

A fab wet week

Review Submitted: May 25, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
We spent a very wet week in March at the apartment, however it didn't dampen our spirits in visiting the sights and taking time out to relax. We had hired a car and found entering the underground car park for the first time daunting but by the end of the week we were pros!!
The apartment was more than we could have hoped for and had absolutely everything you might need for the day to day living! Not only did we eat out but we also had a couple of evenings of eating in using the well stocked kitchen.
Would certainly recommend the property to others and hope to return in the near future.

Owner's Response: What a shame the weather wasn't too good - but there are still many things to do even in wet weather and the apartment has many games and DVD's for wet weather entertainmment.
The car park is a little tight if you have a larger car such as a people carrier and we recommend smaller cars especially as the streets are very narrow in Soller .

Experience Soller

Review Submitted: April 28, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
The location was excellent and all modern equipment provided as indicated in description, comfortable and relaxing. Excellent customer service from the owner, would recommend it especially for the full occupation and for those who want to eat out in the many options in Soller and elsewhere. Self-caterers should find a good range of fresh foods at the Municipal Market, the Saturday street market is of less use, Spar on Victoria 11 Maig open to 13.30 and later evening session useful. The Tramantura walking shop on the de sa lluna has a helpful English owner with much local knowledge. The Botanic gardens were not very well maintained and it was past the flowering season for a lot of the plants, particularly the orchids. The Parc Natural Albufera near Alcuida was a disappointment with a very small car park and a long hike to the reception and hides and not many birds as they had departed to their breeding grounds in northern europe. Walks described in books were not well signposted but there were usually enough more knowledgeable walkers to get you on the right track. The gorge at Biniaraix was stunning, best done early in the day before it gets too hot as shade is hard to find anywhere. The pine woods en route to Torre Picada from Port Soller are good in this respect. The walk to ses tres creus past the cemetery good for evening views of Soller. Renting a car probably unnecessary as there are good bus, tram and train services to more distant areas.

Perfect!

This is a superb apartment, exactly as described. It was immaculately clean, spacious and beautifully furnished. There were lots of little extras which made us feel instantly at home and extremely comfortable. The location is quiet, yet within 5 minutes walk you're in the central square with all its lovely restaurants, with access to trams, trains, and taxis: no need at all for a car. We chose Soller as a base for a walking holiday, and it exceeded all our expectations! Victoria, the owner, could not have been more helpful, even to the extent of recommending a lovely taxi driver to pick us up from the airport. We very much hope to return. Thanks again, Victoria, and Happy Birthday!

A restful holiday in a modern, comfortable flat in a beautiful little town. What more could you ask for?

The owner has thoughtfully furnished and equipped this flat so that it is a real home from home. The views from the windows are stunning - sitting out on the balcony with breakfast or with a drink in the evenings was a real treat.

Our teens would have liked more nightlife - but they managed without - they even had a couple of early nights!

The trams are wonderful, the train to Palma is not to be missed (we went twice), the beach in Port Soller was not too crowded and was suitable for children, exploring the town was a delight - we just had the best of holidays.

Communication with the owner was good and she was very friendly and helpful.

A home from home!

Angel Eyes Dublin
Review Submitted: August 26, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
I stayed in this apartment in July with my 2 kids (age 16 months and 4 yrs).
This was the first time I had ever tried renting somewhere independent and I was absolutely thrilled with my choice....so much so, I am hoping to go again next year!
The apartment itself is stunning and has everything you could need. Be warned though, it is on the top floor so maybe not ideal with small kids, but we soon got used to the climb!
What more can I say? The location is handy as the apartment is near everything - shops, tram, restaurants etc.
The area itself is stunning and whilst it may not have lots of activities locally, it is the perfect place for chilling out. And everything else is only a tram/train/taxi ride away. There is a folder provided in the apartment telling you what's on locally, train times etc for the area which is handy.
I would highly recommend this property!

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful little town..We didn't have a hire car but managed well with public transport and taxis,ie. wooden train to the port which runs every half hour..and a taxi driver lives 2 doors away and is very amenable..this is the best equipped holiday let we have ever stayed in..there are some lovely restaurants nearby..but if you like cooking on holiday you have a first class kitchen to do so...a stay here is very different to other resorts in majorca..no multi storey hotels..brilliant.!..thank you Victoria..

Fab apartment with great gastro choices

Soller has always been a favourite destination so the opportunity to stay there was grabbed at with both hands. Less than half an hour from Palma there's no stress getting there except maybe the last few hundred yards (but directions provided by the owner were perfect) The underground car park is a bonus especially in Soller. We stayed for about 10 days which gave us every opportunity to explore. Valdemossa was a favourite! The tram ride to the port was a daily occurence, riding through the orange and lemon groves made it all a surreal experience, and the train journey to Palma is a must. We explored every inch of Soller and every inch of every bar / cafe in Soller - Cafe Soller is our favourite for every day, and the Gran Hotel Soller is lovely for an afternoon or evening drink, and the food in the restaurant delicious. Another late find was La Vila in the main square - the food is absolutely stunning, and in the summer eat in the back garden - you are a million miles from anywhere! The spacious apartment is beautifully decorated with a great deal of thought and love. It's a great place as a base - the 2 bathrooms and downstairs loo are very civilised - the juicer in the kitchen ensured fresh orange juice every morning - the washing machine means less packing - and all the little extras around the apartment ensure it feels like home from home but all the luxuries of a hotel! Would we go back? Well we've already made our second reservation. Only downside is the number of stairs and no lift - but hey, it means you can eat and drink all you like and not put on weight!

schönes großes Appartment in Zentrumsnähe

Tiwija Marl, NRW, Deutschland
Review Submitted: October 25, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
