This is a truly lovely apartment in an exciting San Francisco neighborhood, convenient to everything. And for music lovers, the opera house and symphony hall are only a few blocks away. It's a perfect get-a-way for two people.
It is furnished beautifully, has a fully equipped kitchen and is immaculate. We loved it!
We try to visit San Francisco at least once a year. What more can we say than it is now our accommodation of choice, and we'll be back!

We had a wonderful time. The flat is just great Steve and Richard were wonderful hosts and there dogs were great as well.
The location is very good. The nearby Italian restaurant has great food. Its easy to get a bus and you can walk to most places. I would reccomend the flat as a terrific place to stay.

The apartment is perfectly situated. It is easy to get to all the sights of San Francisco, whilst being within walking distance of the many excellent local restaurants. We tried three of the restaurants recommended by Melissa and all were very good

The apartment is furnished to a very high standard, we could not fault it in any way. (it even now has a kettle and teapot for us Brits - see earlier review). It was great to become part of the Hayes Valley area for a few days, so much better than staying in a hotel. A superb place, we would recommend to anyone visiting the city.

For anyone wanting quiet, luxury furnishings and fittings in a great location in San Francisco you will not be disappointed. We arrived from a long flight from NZ having booked on this website and were delighted to find that the apartment was truly very tastefully furnished, immaculately clean with a very comfotable oversize bed and quality linens and towels. What more could you want - it was much better than a five star hotel but way less in price. A big bonus was that we had the real pleasure of meeting the owners, Steve and Richard, who are really nice and kind fellows and lots of fun. Their garden and house is a really wonderful taste of the best in San Francisco and a real credit to them. If you want a genuine San Francisco experience then we highly recommend you stay here. Safe, clean, luxury, location and fantastic value.

I checked out about twenty self-catering apartments in San Francisco and this one was head and shoulders above the rest. I kept thinking, "What's the catch?" right until we arrived.
There was no catch. It is a beautiful apartment in a great location. We stayed for a week with our two children (11 and 14) and were sorry to leave.
It has everything you need. All the fittings and equipment are of good quality. It's a really comfortable place. It's quiet despite being on a busy street. It's also the only place we saw on this particular street with a garden.
The booking arrangements worked well - thanks Melissa. Steven and Richard were friendly and helpful hosts.
From this central location we easily travelled to many of SF's attractions on foot and public transport.
San Francisco is a great place to visit and I really recommend this apartment as a great base to visit it from.

a wonderful appartment. well furnished, good beds, lovely garden. We stayed for nine nights and we would do it again. On walking distance of Market Street, the main road to the centre.

Thank you again for this location. A real "zen" atmosphere and very clean.
I could even study my violin without disturbing neighbors!!!
Very well located ( 5 minutes from L. Davies Symphony Hall and the Asian Museum) ,in the center of the town but without the noise , i will definitely recomand it to everybody who is looking for a romantic location in San Francisco.!...
SF is a realy beautiful town with a lot of attractions ,activities and restaurants.

My husband Ken and I have just returned from staying in this apartment in San Francisco and have to say it was a delight. The apartment is just great compared to staying in a hotel and the location couldn't be better. We met Richard and Steven the owners and what a nice couple who were very hospitable to us! The only small gripe (which I mentioned to Richard) is that there was no kettle but a coffee maker. I know Americans drink a lot of coffee but I am a tea drinker so like to have a kettle on hand. It was not a problem and as I type this I am sure that Richard has put a kettle into the apartment. We would certainly stay here again as you couldn't do any better but that is only my opinion. Loads of restaurants and bars nearby and the best thing is a Safeway store as anyone in the UK knows we don't have them anymore. Morrisons just doesn't do it for me. I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone who is thinking about a trip to San Francisco. We are missing it already!

Visiting California and San Francisco can be very exhausting and of course exciting - many places to visit and many things to see. Coming from Las Vegas we found this nice location in the heart of San Francisco and were really in need for a place to relax and settle down at least for the next 4 - 5 days.
So we found Richards and Stephens house at the internet home page and were not in doubt that we'd found the right place. We arrived in the evening at 9, found the apartment, lit the light and were so surprised. We immediately found the apartment in very delicate shape. The first impression was the light in the living room which in a soft and smooth way made us feel at home. We remarked the exclusive raw look combined with classic furniture’s and the open space kitchen. Looking at each other we rushed towards the room searching for the bedroom and found at the end of the living room a large bedroom with an exclusive king size bed. Nice. But that was nothing compared to the bathroom. Elegant, clean and functional.
We really enjoyed our stay in San Francisco especially Richards and Stephens apartment in Hays Valley. And we can strongly recommend other visitors to spend some days here. Some maybe think that it's a bit expensive, but the joy it brings makes it worth it.
