Great holiday rental in great location.

Review Submitted: June 17, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
My family and I spent a week at the house in late May and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Cottage has many period and interesting features and a lovely garden to the side and rear. When we stayed the weather was very nice so we had chance to take advantage of the secluded back garden to relax in.
Poulton village center was a 10 min walk away and a very interesting and lively village with an old church in the center suare along with many small local shops and of course pubs.
I reccomend a 5 min walk to the River Wyre Hotel on a nice evening to sit on their outside deck and enjoy reasonably priced food inj a delightful atmosphere.
Overall we were very happy with our decision to swtay at Mulberry Cottage.
Owner's Response: I am really happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Mulberry Cottage and I agree with you regarding the River Wyre Pub. The food is really nice, its reasonably priced & its a short walk!!

Thank you for taking the time to complete the review - they do help website visitors. I will pass on your comments to "The Team" - it will be appreciated! Needless to say, if you ever visit the area again you will be more than welcome to stay at the cottage.

Mulberry Cottage and Diary - lovely place

Review Submitted: November 4, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
Hi Yvonne,

many thanks for staying in the Mulberry Cottage and the Dairy. It was a lovely place!
Your neighbour is really helpfully and funny. We had a nice short stay in October 2009. I can't say anything about Poulton because we only visited the Blackpool sports centre to take part in the Jiu Jitsu competition. We like to come back when the next competition is in Blackpool! ;-)
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review Mulberry Cottage & the Dairy. I am really pleased you enjoyed your stay there. My neighbours are very helpful & friendly & I'm glad you got chance to meet them. It's a shame you didn't venture into Poulton it's a lovely town with losts of nice places to eat and drink. Never mind next time eh? And well done in the Jiu Jitsu competition - all those medals you guys did so well! Hope to see you again soon.

An Excellent Property & Owner!

Ouyr family stayed at Mulberry Cottage for 6 days and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We could have happily have stayed for longer. The cottage description is totally accurate. It is in an excellent location with a small paper shop a couple for minutes walk up the road and a large Supermarket just 10 minutes drive away. I walked around Poulton-le-Fylde with our 10 year old daughter one evening and must say it appears to be a very nice village with good amenities.

Blackpool is only a very short car journey away and has loads of family attractions so every day was fun packed for all the family. We spent a full day at Blackpool Zoo, which we would recommend to any families, where we managed to see the new baby (6 foot!) Giraffe.

Yvonne, the owner of Mulberry Cottage, and her representatives were all excellent and courteous. We had a couple of minor issues on arrival but after a quick call to Yvonne these were dealt with very rapidly and totally professionally. We would recommend Mulberry Cottage to all our friends and relatives; it is an excellent place for any families looking for somewhere to stay in Lancashire.
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review Mulberry Cottage your comments are most appreciated. I am pleased to hear you thoroughly enjoyed your stay - that is our intention & its great when it works out so well. Gosh Blackpool Zoo it's been a while since I visited there! I used to take my younger sister there many years ago - she loved it too. There is a nice park opposite (Stanley Park) worth a walk through feed the ducks, take a boat ride etc.

Sorry about the little hickups but thank you for your patience and understanding. Just glad we could get everything sorted as quickly as possible.

Thanks again for the recommendation & I hope to hear from you again in the future - you will be always welcome.

we stayed at the cottage for 2 weeks and found it a delightfull place to stay, it is very roomy for a large family so you wont find yourselves falling over eachother, access to attractions is very easy from there.
definatley would use again next time we go up north.
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Your comments are most appreciated & I have passed them to the rest of the team. It will be a pleasure to have you & your family stay at the cottage the next time you are up north. I know the cleaning team particularly asked me to thank you for leaving the cottage "so lovely" after your visit. Hope to hear from you again soon.

Marvellous Property and Location

Review Submitted: August 25, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We, a family of seven, stayed at Mulberry Cottage for the first week of July 09 and were very impressed with it. Not only was it exactly as advertised, it was spotlessly clean and the owners were very helpful in greeting us on arrival and giving us loads of info on the local places of interest. We were really impressed by the number of lovely places to visit in the locality and there was a great variety of things to see and do for young and old alike.
We were extremely impressed with what a nice village Poulton-le-Fylde turned out to be. It was certainly better than our expectations and a place that we would have no hesitation in recommending as a base to see the local area.

There are loads of options when it comes to dining although our kids took a real shine to Frankie & Benny's in Blackpool and we would highly recommend that for variety, quality, service and value.

We would very strongly recommend Mulberry Cottage to any prospective tenants especially those with a few children.

We cetrainly intend to revisit at some stage
Owner's Response: Its really great to have such positive feedback & thank you for taking the time to review it. I have passed your comments onto to everyone in the team - sounds a bit "cheesy" but they will appreciate being appreciated. Its my stepfather that met you with the keys - he has lived in the area all his life & loves getting out & about on day trips etc so I am not surprised that he pointed you in the right direction. Good to hear you will be visting us again - what more can we ask for - you will be most welcome.

Mulberry Cottage

Delighful United Kingdom
Review Submitted: March 23, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
I found this cottage to be very homely and close to alot of interesting places to visit. Several pubs/resturants in walking distance from the cottage.
The landlady was very pleasant and friendly, we had a problem with the electrics one night and the landlady did her upmost to get it sorted out the same night inwhich she did and also managed to borrow electric heaters from family who kindly bought them round as a back up.
I was also pleasently surprised to find that not only all the towells were provided, but also new pairs of slippers for each person who stayed in the cottage.
Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing week for all of us and just to show how homely the cottage felt my son actually made a comment on the first day that it didn't feel like a holiday because he felt that we had just gone from home to home, although it did feel like holiday to him in the end with all the day trips and the fun he had.
Last of all a great big thankyou to the landlady and team for how well this lovely cottage is kept up together.
Lucy
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Needless to say I am thrilled with the comments. The problem with the electrics was a little unfortunate & your patience & responsible approach was appreciated. I just glad we were able to get everything back to normal within a few hours. I shall pass on your comments to my mum, stepfather, sister & the rest of our team. I know it will be appreciated. Look forward to hearing from you again in the future.

A beautiful Cottage

Review Submitted: March 17, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
We stayed in the Dairy for one night and really liked it. The area was lovely and quiet and very close to the town centre, with Blackpool and Fleetwood a short drive away. There were also really informative guide brochures telling you all the places to visit and also the history of the town which was really interesting. The Dairy itself was lovely and modern and you could tell it had recently been refurbished to a very high standard, and was equipped with everything you would need, although we chose to get a French takeaway after finding a leaflet in the property and the food was absolutely gorgeous.
The Dairy was very good value for money and the owner very helpful. We will definitely return.
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to submit comments - it is most appreciated & most importantly it will help others. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay with us & I will be glad to hear from you again in the future.

Convenient and Comfortable

American Visitor Minnesota, U.S.A.
Review Submitted: August 1, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
A very convenient location for day trips to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Liverpool, Blackpool. There was a lot of information for guests in the cottage regarding things to do in the area. The Dariy apartment has a "newer" feel as it is more recently refurbished, but, while the Mulberry is older, it is quite comfortable with modern appliances. It also has a washer/dryer. We enjoyed our stay. The owner was extremely helpful from the time we first enquired about the property, to helping us find it when we got to the area and were a little lost, to being available by phone if we had any questions etc. Corresponding with her was very easy and she was very responsive. Poulton is a nice little town and the grocery store is within walking distance. We enjoyed our walks to town to get the groceries, etc. We ate at a nice indian restaurant in town. There is also a park that our children could walk to and kick the football around.
