We have just got back from another great holiday with Michael, Elaine & Ruby. The casita is lovely & clean,It was nice to have a few things in the fridge as we did not arrive till late. it is great to have English TV for the colder nights. We had really great weather for the end of October. It was a little too cold to go in the pool but we lazed by the pool (heaven ).Thank you for another wonderful stay with you.

My partner and I have just returned from a lovely week in Alhaurin De La Torre. Elaine, Micheal & Ruby were perfect hosts in the week we spent at the casita very much echoing the comments on the previous reviews. The Casita is very comfortable, spacious, clean and very homely.

We chose not to hire a car for this holiday because we didn't want to spend our week away driving all the time. In saying that it is probably a 30min walk from the casita to the centre of town. I would not recommend walking back, it is uphill all the way and my partner and I got lost in the dark but finally navigated our way back home. There are a couple of taxi ranks which charged us 8 euros back to the casita which was very reasonable.

The town itself is very much a local town hardly any tourists which was a bonus. We ate at a couple of restaurants which were all lovely, great food, service and they will do their upmost to keep you happy.

The two best parts of the holiday were the pool and the hospitality of Elaine & Micheal. The pool was bliss lots of peace & quiet whether it was reading a book, listening to music or enjoying the scenery surrounding the villa. Elaine & Micheal were extremely forthcoming in helping us in all aspects whether it was helping us get to the supermarket, taking us for a personal tour around the town showing us the best places to drink, eat etc.

I would highly recommend this place for a holiday, you will not be disappointed. It was what we expected based on the previous reviews and a lot more.

this is the place to go for a perfect relaxing holiday.
the casita was clean & tidy.
mike & elaine were very friendly and helpful
a car is essential as it's quite away from the town but the restaurants are fabulous.
for a couple i would say this was the ideal place to go
my wife and i will certainly be going back

We have recently returned from a weeks stay in this lovely casita. Situated in the grounds of the owners house the accomodation is self contained and contained everything we required. The owners were the perfect hosts, stiking just the right balance between providing good customer service and ensuring us our privacy. It was great to have them on hand to ask about the best places to visit and eat, some of which we would never have found by ourselves. The location is perfect for getting out and about, be it exploring quaint Spanish towns, driving to the coast, or inland to the lakes and mountains. A car is essential and we found ourselves exploring more than we had expected, usually being content to relax by the pool. The owners have a boxer dog, which was not mentioned in the literature. Having said that, she was no bother to us but if you don't like dogs you might want to bear that in mind. If we had to find a down side it would be that there were no restaurants or bars within walking distance. That said, it did not spoil a very enjoyable week in a lovely area of Spain.

Casita in Alhaurin de la Torre

We have stayed three times now in the casita and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly each time. It takes no time at all to get there from Malaga airport and yet, once there, it seems miles away from all traffic! The house has always been immaculate with a supply of necessary food items to keep you going until you feel like shopping. Elaine & Mike are very kind hosts and are always there to offer help and advice on places of interest etc. In fact, I injured my ankle the last time we were there and Elaine went out of her way to visit a chemist to buy a support for my ankle and then refused to take any payment for it! Ruby the boxer provides an endless supply of amusement for us. We would recommend the cottage to everyone looking for a pleasant, relaxing holiday.

Great mountainside location, ideal base for discovering the Costa Del Sol and beyond. Very friendly and amiable hosts, lovely pool and tennis court for the energetic amongst us.

A real gem, and inexpensive too!

We have just got back from our second vist to the cottage,.We came 2 yrs ago and knew we would be back to this wonderful cottage.
The cottage is lovely and clean, and has all you need for a self catering holiday. The beautiful pool area is a fantastic place to lay in the sun.
There are many good restraunts in the village.
Last but not least is Michael and Elaine (oh and Ruby),They could not be more helpful . They are there if you need anything (good places to eat, places to visit, when and where the markets are ).They are very friendly and welcoming. You could not ask for a nicer friendly couple.THANK YOU FOR OUR FANTASTIC HOLIDAY.Janet and Keith

This is an ideal place to stay! The cottage is immaculately presented, spacious and in great surroundings. We used the pool and tennis court daily which is a nice bonus to have. The town of Alhaurin is buzzing but still with that small town/village feel. We travelled all around this area and didn't have a bad meal - a great variety to choose from too. Its not too far to go to the beach either or having a shopping spree in Marbella. We had a brill time.
