Wonderfull holiday apartment! Upea lomamajoitus!

This apartment is a real gem and better than we ever imagined with everything needed for a self catering holiday. We were met at the Metro by Angela and Paolo and given a quick tour of the local area pointing out where to catch buses and location of the supermarket etc. Angela supplied us with a map of Rome and detailed local bus information. There was a stock of basic essentials supplied on our arrival.
The supermarket is within a 5 minute walk, very easy to find and selling everything needed. The number 44 bus (10 minutes walk away) delivers you into the heart of Rome, a 35 minute ride for 1 euro. From here you can visit many of the main attractions on foot if you are prepared to walk and map read, with refreshments at every turn.
We would recommend visiting the 4 National Roman Museums, a 3 day ticket for 7 euros (excellent value) gets you into all four (don't miss Palazzo Massimo if you want to see amazing Roman mosaics and wall paintings). If you plan to visit the Vatican Museum we would recommend you make a very early start, the queue is horrendous. The queue for St Peters looks terrible but moves fast. Visit the dome for 5 euros, don't bother with the lift the first steps are easy compared with those you can't avoid and you'll save the queue for the lift, the best coffee we found in Rome was on the roof for 1 euro!

We stayed at the apartment in August 2009, and found it to be outstanding. The decor, cleanliness, personal touches and standards were superb. Angela and Paolo have gone to great trouble to make the apartment a fantastic place to stay. Luxury!
The hospitality of the whole family was superb, nothing was too much trouble and they were very warm and friendly. Our stay was wonderful as a result; it was the best holiday we've ever had! I corresponded with Angela via email prior to the visit, to ask questions, arrange things etc and she replied quickly and with great advice and help. Paolo and his daughter met us at the airport, a welcome relief to disembark from the flight and feel that we had landed in safe hands! We had ordered a meal to eat upon arrival; it was beautiful, plentiful and was the perfect way to start the holiday.
The area is perfect; close to supermarkets and bus stops and other shops and facilities too. There was an outdoor swimming pool 10 mins walk away. We loved having the supermarket close by - there were no supermarkets that we could see in the centre of Rome, so being a little way out was perfect. We bought our food, cooked at home in the evening and ate in the beautiful dining area.
In the morning, we took the number 44 bus into Rome, and this brought us straight to the Piazza Venezia, right in the centre of Rome, a few steps from the Imperial Forum. I would recommend taking this bus from the road called Sirtori, and getting off at Ribotti. This is very easy, Angela provides maps and is always on hand to help with any questions! There is also a bus that goes close to the Vatican; the number 33. The buses cost 1 Euro for 75 mins, and the tickets can be bought at the tobacconists in the precinct 5 mins away, on the way to the bus stop. Our father in law (who has a pacemaker) and our 2 children (aged 5 + 13) found this short walk no problem, in nearly 40 degree heat! In fact we found the whole holiday to be an adventure - we felt that we were living a real Roman experience - going in on the bus in the morning, visiting Trastevere, going to the market, etc. It was truly wonderful. Angela and Paolo and their daughter Elena were marvellous, so thoughtful and friendly, they made the holiday absolutely brilliant.
The laptop was great- in the evening, after visiting the sights, we could learn more about what we had seen. Also we went on Google Maps to find out about the area. Very useful!

We had a wonderful holiday staying at angela and paolo,s apartment. Being picked up at airport with no hassles of looking for taxi,s or transport was a bonus. The apartment was beautful and clean and exactly as described. angela and her family made sure we had everything we needed and more and could not have been more helpful or friendly. the 10 minute walk to the bus was rewarded by cappucino and cake at the passitiere at the top, the supermarket was a five minute walk it was a great way to sample local culture. We definately made the rigtht choice.

We stayed at this apartment in October 2008. The homeowners were extremely helpful. Everything that is written in the advertisement is true. Not only do they do airport pickup but they will take you to the train station when you are ready to go on to your next part of your holiday. It sure was nice getting off our long transatlantic flight and getting picked up by car. No worries about a taxi or a bus when we were dead tired. We got to the apartment and there was food for us in the refridgerator. Nice touch.

The things I really remember about the home are the homeowners. They were so nice. They got up in the morning and drove us to the market. They made sure that we had everything we needed. They provided bus tickets and maps to assist getting around. I would highly recommend this apartment for people who want a little local culture in addition to their holiday relaxation. You will need to be sure that you are able to walk a bit because one of the bus stops is up/down a hill depending on whether you are coming or going.

The lady of the house is fluent in English and seemed will to assist with anything she could. Both homeowners wanted to make sure our holiday was comfortable and memorable.

We were met at the airport by Angela's daughter who whisked us straight out side to our transfer car that took us to our apartment.The apartment was spotless and well equipped to do your own catering.Angela lent us a map and bus guide until we could get our own and sold us some bus tickets so we were up and running immediately.The apartment is a ten minute walk away from the bus that takes you right into the centre of rome and their is a supermarket only five minutes walk away.We definitely made the right choice with this apartment and could recomend it to any one that dosnt mind the short ride into the centre of rome.

Es ist zwar schon eine ganze Weile her, dass wir in diesem wunderschönen Apartment waren, aber bei einem Besuch auf dieser Internetseite wurde ich noch einmal aufs beste an unseren Romaufenthalt erinnert.
Es hat uns (2 Paare) SEHR gut gefallen und noch oft sprechen wir über die 6 Tage in Rom (22.02. - 28.02.2009) und über diese Wohnung. Für uns war die Wohnung perfekt! Alles war wie auf den Bildern und sehr sauber. Manchmal haben wir nach dem vielen Herumlaufen ein kleines gemütliches Sofa vermisst, da beide Zimmer ja als Schlafzimmer hergerichtet waren.
Als einen besonderen Service haben wir die "kleine Grundaustattung" mit Lebensmitteln erlebt - das ist selten in Ferienwohnungen und je nach Ankunftzeit wirklich hilfreich. Der Supermarkt ein wenig weiter auf der Straße hatte alles, was man braucht und dazu gute Preise.
Für uns war auch das Abholen und Zurückbringen zum Flughafen ein großer Vorteil.
Alles in allem hat es uns so gut gefallen, dass wir oft über eine Wiederholung nachdenken, denn wir haben noch längst nicht alles gesehen!

Diese Ferienwohnung können wir nur empfehlen. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und auch wieder verabschiedet. Es gab in der Woche keine Beanstandungen, die Ferienwohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber. Wir waren mit 4 Erwachsenen dort, dieses ist bedingt zu empfehlen, da als Gemeinschaftsaufenthaltraum lediglich die Essecke dient, da das Wohnzimmmer zum Schlafzimmer umfunktioniert wurde. Wir kamen am Abend relativ "Fußlahm" zurück in die Wohnung und konnten dort die Ruhe geniessen.

Wir lommen auf jeden Fall wieder

Die Wohnung ist bis auf wenige Dinge so vorzufinden wie beschrieben. Sie war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Vermieter legen sehr großen Wert auf Sauberkeit und haben ihre Wohnung liebevoll mit Antiquitäten ausgestattet. Der Weg vom und zum Flughafen verlief problemlos. Die Fahrt vom Flughafen dauerte wegen des Verkehrs etwa 30 Minuten. Am Appartment angekommen zeigten und erklärten uns die Vermieter die nähere Umgebung mit Haltestellen, Supermarkt usw. Das Appartment war bei unserer Ankunft mit Nahrungsmittel, wie Butter, Eier, Milch, Kaffee, Tee und Kelloggs ausgestattet. Wir kamen sehr früh in Rom an und konnten daher noch nicht in das Appartment. Die Vermieter waren aber so freundlich, so das wir unser Gepäck im Haus abstellen konnten.
Da an diesem Morgen viele Buslinien streikten fuhren uns die Vermieter zur nächsten Metrostation damit wir problemlos in die Stadt fahren konnten, so das wir in ca. 5 Minuten am Kolosseum waren.
Nach stundemlangem laufen und dem hektischen treiben in der Stadt waren wir sehr froh als wir wieder zurück in unserem Appartment ankamen, das doch in einer ruhigen Wohngegend liegt. Wir konnten am Abend noch gemütlich im Garten auf einer Bank sitzen.
Die Verständigung mit den freundlichen und sehr hilfsbereiten Vermietern verlief problemlos.
Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Appartment war sehr schön, wir haben uns mit unseren Kindern im Alter von 17, 13 und 9 Jahren sehr wohl gefühlt, werden wieder hierher zurückkommen und dieses Appartment und die Vermieter nur weiterempfehlen da die Verständigung auch im Vorfeld problemlos verlief.
