Superb time in Krakow

Review Submitted: March 7, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
From start to finish our stay was excellent. James the owner was extremely helpful giving is lots of information about the apartment and the City of Krakow, including a lot that just doesn’t appear in the guidebooks. Communications were excellent. We opted to use public transport from the airport to get a flavour of the place, it was very easy with James’s instructions and dropped us right outside. Upon our arrival there was tea and coffee for us. The apartment was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It really is as well equipped as your own home, with a full kitchen that’s better than mine! The description on the advert does not do it justice. There was a good guidebook and lots of other information from both the owner and other guests so we really were able to get into Krakow’s heart. Kazimierz district was great and only a minute’s walk from the front door. Try Plac Nowy for the markets, bars (some are lit by candles and oil lamps) and restaurants, you just want to go back there. The Central Square is an easy stroll too, but we found it rather over run with tourists and great gaggles of school children on organised visits. The Castle has great views over the river and the City. With the owner’s guidance we made our own way to Zakopane and the salt mine at Wieliczka. Far better than an organised coach trip and far cheaper too! The apartment is in an excellent location. We never wished we had a car and walked many places, but with the trams so convenient and cheap we used them too.
We can’t wait to go back to Krakow and will definitely stay in this apartment again when we do. Thank you!

Great apartment, so clean with plenty of equipment, all you need for a stay in a apartment. The apartment is in a great location only 10mins to walk into the centre of Krackow, and so close to the Kazimeriz district whihc has great restaurants, you must Try the Singer Bar . James gave us so much information which we found very helpful, also there are plenty of leaflets and more information in the apartment. Hope to return to Krakow again, and would definatly rent this apartment .

Loved the apartment, easy access to trams, buses or you could just walk. 2mins walk to the Jewish quarter where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. Kracow centre lovely.
Couldn't fault anything in the apartment at all, kitchen was nicer than my own! James the owner very helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Can I live here?

The apartment was perfectly placed for all the beautiful, interesting places that Krakow has to offer. We walked everywhere. As previous reviewers state the apartment is clean, comfortable and well equipted and is as the pictures show. There was lots of information left in the guest book to help you decide what you want to do/see, also lots of leaflets etc. which we found helpful. James was easy to contact and provided added information which was helpful too.
It is very difficult to review restaurants as they are all soooo good (we did try lots). Mainly we enjoyed the restaurants in the Kazimeriz district best.
Do try and get off the well worn streets, the side streets offer such treasures.
Without a doubt we shall be returning - most probably for the Christmas market and hope to book James' apartment again.

Exellent place to stay in the heart of Krakow

Review Submitted: July 28, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The apartment in Krakow could not have been in a better location, on the Jewish Quarters but just a few minutes walking distance from probable the most beautiful square in Europe. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, a fully equipped kitchen, even though we did not use it so much as food was so cheep at the restaurants we couldn't bother cooking. There was a good guidebook and lots of other information from both the owner and other guests, and I suggest you read the guest book, there are some valuable tips in there too.
The Wawel Castle must not be missed. With the owner’s guidance we made our own way to the salt mine at Wieliczka getting the minibuses straight there and back, It was a wonderful experience down in the mines. We drove to Zakopane but you could easily get there by coach, its a place not to be missed, the mountains are wonderful. Something out of the normal is a visit to Nova Huta with the Crazy Communist Guides they pick you up from the apartment in their Trabant cars and take you to Nova Huta the rest is for you to explore but it is highly recommended, and by the way they take you back to the apartment in one piece.
Booking the flat was easy and Jim the owner was very helpful communication was first class. We would definitely recommend the apartment.

Ideal Location and base to explore Krawow

Stayed early May '09, and have to say this apartment is perfect. This was our 4th visit to Krakow and this is by far the best place we have stayed. The flat is situated in the heart of the Jewish Quarter and surrounded by numerous restaurants, bars, shops, and tourist "attractions" such as museums and Synagogues and areas related to the Ghetto. If you have an interest in WW2 then here you will be living in a residential area where numerous events occurred, we watched Schindlers List on DVD whilst there and you realise how much was actually filmed locally. We recommend picking up an "In Your Pocket" guide book for about 5 Zloty (£1.00) from Tourist Info or from some bars/restaurants, it's full of things to do, where to go, how to get there and is updated every month or 2 with the latest cultural events, exhibitions etc, a very useful guide to Krakow indeed. Booking the flat was easy and Jim the owner is very knowledgeable on the area and recommended some great bars/cafes/shops etc. We would definitely recommend the apartment and will stay there again, it's clean, spacious, quiet, and easy to get to all parts of Krakow with a 10 minute or so walk into the centre of Krakow or 30 seconds to the first of many Squares in Kazimierz.

Apartment in Krakow

54 Cheshire
Review Submitted: May 31, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Krakow. We booked this apartment on the strength of the previous positive comments and we were not disappointed. Communication with the owner was efficient and professional - the apartment lived up to expectations. It was clean and confortable and located centrally so we could walk everywhere. Restaurants were located nearby which offered a variety of food at very reasonable prices. The city of Krakow is beautiful and we enjoyed the atmosphere (and we were lucky to have glorious weather!) We went to Auschwitz which was a moving experience but one which we will always remember.I can wholeheartedly recommend this apartment in Krakow. It is really great value for money!

Great week in this excellent apartment.

Review Submitted: May 23, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
The apartment lived up to its description in every way and was well equipped, comfortable, well maintained and scrupulously clean. The location could not be bettered and it was wonderful to have the close proximity of the shops and the bakery, as well as such a wide variety of excellent and good value restaurants virtually on the doorstep.

We walked everywhere - Wawel and the Market Square are about 10-15 minutes away, while the bus & train stations are approximately 20 minutes walk. We went to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines using the regular bus & minibus services, both exceptionally cheap (2.5zl for a single minibus fare to the Salt Mines, 20zl each return to Auschwitz)

It's wise to make an early start for sight-seeing, as school parties and guided tours tended to be a bit overwhelming, especially in the afternoons!

James was always very prompt and helpful in his communications and anticipated many questions with his excellent information. We would recommend the apartment and the area unreservedly and hope to return in the future to see more of this fascinating city.

I stayed at the apartment for 4 days in May 2009. The apartment was clean, well maintained and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

It was ideally situated for touring the Jewish quarter and
the Old Town areas. Transport was cheap and efficient.

Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.

The owner's assistance was first class.
