House with a view!

The ideal place for our family holiday - fell in love with it all the moment we arrived in Elounda. The villa really is luxury with the most spectacular view - I couldn't think of a better way to be spending my days, reading a good book, glass of local rose in hand watching the view, listening to the kids playing in the pool. Lots to explore, lots of restaurants to eat in and lots of beach to visit. Any problems were sorted quickly. Booked for next year already!!

Beautiful and very relaxing

Review Submitted: July 12, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Amazing villa with great living room and pool area and games room + tennis court, so lots to keep you entertained. Decent bed rooms, all en suite. Beautiful views. Villa is very remote / peaceful at the top of a dirt track above Elounda so make sure you have a car as cabs won't go there. Elounda itself is quiet but plenty of life in Agios Nikolaos which is 20 mins drive away.

Fantastic holiday in secluded location

We stayed at Villa Anatoli in May 2009 as a retirement celebration for an extended family of six adults and one teenager. The villa is stunning and everything the website promised. Paul and Lenny at Bluebay really helped to make the visit special by arranging flowers and champagne for our arrival, which really kicked the holiday off in style. The views from the villa are to die for, however the road up to the villa was 'rustic'! Whilst Elounda was just about walking distance, it was not for the faint hearted in the dark! However, the villa is so special we could forgive this small inconvenience. We will definitely be back.

We have been to this beautiful villa for short breaks with friends and family three times now and everytime it NEVER disappoints. The views are to die for, the villas' decor is superb, the bar-b-q area lends to fun and social gatherings after a day spent around the good size swimming pool, the games room is well equipped and where can you play tennis with such a fantastic outlook? The owners have thouight of everything to make your holiday special. WELL DONE. Definately going back again and again and again.

Ageless beauty

Review Submitted: June 12, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Beautiful view of Spinalonga, lovely villa, surroundings & swimming pool and of course very nice people.
We are senior citizens but this place suited all age groups of the family - ageless.
Fine local tavernas & fresh food for the bbq - ideal.
Hope to come back.

We have never stayed at a villa before and so it is not possible for me to compare with any any other villa, but I cannot imagine that there could be anything much better. We were a family of 7 adults and 2 children. All had a wonderful time. When we arrived at the villa we were all astounded by the views, and the villa itself. It had everything that you could wish for.The climb up to the the villa is quite steep in parts, but worth it when you get there for the peace and quiet. We walked down to Elounda on one occasion and it took us about 25 minutes{2 OAPs] We did not walk back up .Everything describing the villa was true and I thoroughly recommend this villa .

This is the one to book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found this villa just by chance and have recommended is to just about everyone I know, it really is that great!

On contacting the owners prior to my first visit -------- yes I have now been a second time, I was informed that the development had just been completed and they asked me to be truthfull about the facilities available on my return to the UK which I was more than happy to do.

It lives up to and surpasses the description on the website and is beautifully maintained.

It is located in the most wonderful peaceful setting on the outskirts of Elounda with breath-taking views over the Bay of Elounda itself which takes in the Island of Spinalonga.

Internally the layout lends itself to both 'young and old' and is fully accessible to those who may have mobility problems. It is finished to a very high standard with a lot of thought having been put in to the comfort of guests.

Outside there is a great living and social area, a good size pool, sun terrace, landscaped gardens and a fantastic tennis court as a bonus. The views from this area are just stunning.

The villa lends itself to a totally relaxing holiday if this is what you want as you would not have to leave as everything you need is at hand.

I would recommend a car so that you can take advantage of the great restaurants in and around Elounda, Ag Nicolaus, Plaka, the Island of Spinalonga the old Leper Colony (read The Island by Victoria Hislop) in the immediate area. The Palace of Knossus and the museum in Heraklion itself and a host of other wonderful villages, caves and beautiful beaches to see all around Crete.

I have booked to go to Villa Anatoli again with a group of friends in September 09 and look forward to seeing how the gardens have become more established and to take advantage of everything provided.

The tennis court is of the highest standard and is fantastic early morning and late afternoon/evening with a balcony for those less energetic to sit and watch. I forgot to mention there is also a basement with table tennis and darts etc.

What more can I say................... just book it and enjoy!!

October Week

Time Will Tell Edinburgh
Review Submitted: October 26, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
Just back after a great 7 days staying at this villa. Weather was beginning to turn, but the villa is just as nice when you have to sit indoors to admire the view! Bright, spacious and very well equipped. Stunning view down over Spinalonga. The guide books in the drawers were a useful extra as we had forgotten ours. If you like warm silent evenings, high up on a hillside above Elounda with absolutley no noise except the local wildlife, you will love this place. Maybe a wee bit too isoloted for those who like to be close to Elounda cafe society - 5 min drive over steep, rough tracks or a good 15-20 min walk down into town (and back up). We had teenage kids with us, who had a great time.
