FABULOUS !!!

We have been going to St ives every summer for years and have stayed at numerous places, but can honestly say this apartment was excellent. It was extremely well equipped, had stunning views and was central to all good restaurants, bars etc.Unfortunately the weather was a real let down this year, but with having such great views over the harbour it wasn't such an ordeal to be stuck inside.
We would definately recommend this apartment and would stay there next time we visit St Ives.

Owner's Response: Hi Mike and Sharon, so glad you enjoyed the apartment and it had everything you needed for your stay, even though the weather wasn't good. Our aim is for everyone to experience something special but within a realistic budget. Glad you enjoyed the fabulous views and central location. Do come again next year, I wish I was able to sort better weather for you, but as you know there is always plenty for everyone to do in St Ives, even when it's raining! Best wishes Laura

May break in St Ives

Review Submitted: June 24, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
An amazing view and perfect location. A really great flat, the pictures don't do it justice.

My only small comments would be that the website description is slightly misleading; the bedding certainly wasn't boutique hotel eqyptian cotton and with only one basic pillow on the bed each not the luxurious sleep I was anticipating. There also weren't any promised spa toiletries in the bathroom and we would have liked more towels. I was also surprised that a 2 person flat had a washing machine rather than dishwasher.

Apart from that I would thoroughly recommend the apartment for those wanting a busy place to stay, we came down on the train and didn't need our car at all. For anyone who hasn't been to Cornwall you will be amazed, it is paradise!

We have had many holidays in cottages in St Ives in previous years but this apartment knocked the spots off everywhere else we have stayed.
Beautifully clean, superbly located and with all the home comforts you could wish for, we really were incredibly impressed.
The owners were very helpful, full of advice and easily contactable with any queries or concerns we may have had before our trip.
I have noticed a few popular stores creeping their way into St Ives but hopefully not too many more will arrive! We love the massive range of foods and drink on sale at the deli, right opposite the front door, and COAST above the smoothie bar in the harbour has always been a firm favourite for tasty breakfasts and intimate, reasonably priced and relaxed dinners. For fantastic views go to the coffee shop at The Tate (you don't have to pay to get in!) you can see all over the town, it really is breathtaking. In the evenings we walked over to Porthmeor beach to watch the surfers and sunsets.
We arrived in the afternoon, parked the car, went to get some lunch and then went back to unload outside the front door later on when it was quieter.
We will definitely be back to the apartment soon!

Great Place to Stay

Apartment was perfect and well worth 5 out of 5. Description was accurate it proved to be a very good place to stay. Very clean and all fittings and furniture in an as new condition.

It is right in the heart of St Ives and even though we had a couple of rainy days we didn't feel trapped in side with such a great view. We had a 10 month old with us and he loved the place as much as we did. The 3 flights of stairs weren't too much of a pain.

Plenty of great restaurants very close by, we enjoyed St Andrews Street Bistro the most and the Fore Street Deli and St Ives Bakery helped keep our kitchen stocked up with great fresh food. The Hub and The Lookout were both close by and were useful for Wi-Fi access. The Harbour and beech are right on the doorstep and was easy enough to pop back in if we forgot something for our day out.

Great customer service from owner to make sure we knew everything we needed to and enjoyed our stay.

Have already recommended this place to friends and family and would certainly stay again.

Fabulous Apartment!

Review Submitted: April 5, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
We had a wonderful holiday in St. Ives, the penthouse apartment made it perfect. After the "slightly" stressful start of parking up in busy Fore Street to unload and lugging our belongings up 3 floors, we were pleasantly surprised when we reached the top. WOW! What a view! The apartment was everything we wanted, clean, good layout, well equiped and honestly one of the best views of St. Ives harbour. Luckily the weather was great, we managed to sit on the beach for a few days. We did lots of walking around the area, Carbis Bay is beautiful. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area, too many to mention. One thing to note is that you need to book early if you want to get a good "seaview" window table!! We did abit of travelling around in Corwall. The Minnack Theatre and Porthcurnow beach are well worth a visit - stunning. We also went to Port Issac (where Doc. Martin was filmed) and to Tintagel Castle, very impressive. We also liked Falmouth and Truro, but didn't think much of Penzance.
Overall, our stay and this apartment was most enjoyable, very relaxing and we both felt very pleased we chose this particular apartment. The instructions from the owner were very clear and easy to follow, we just wished we had known about the internet access before we went. One other suggestion we thought might be another nice touch to the apartment is a clock radio in the bedroom.
Fabulous Apartment, would definately go back and would recommend to anyone!

Can't fault this apartment

The Orch Nottingham
Review Submitted: March 15, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
Accurately described - spotlessly clean, well decorated, comfortable and containing everything you might need for a getaway.

Two of us rented the apartment for a week early March 2009 and had a great week. The location is very central (this may be a bit noisy late evening in the busy periods but it was fine for us) which makes accessing all of St Ives very easy. A great selection of restaurants and pubs, all within an easy walk (we had excellent meals at St Andrew's Street Bistro and Alba next to the Lifeboat station), you certainly need longer than a week. If you choose to eat in, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking a full meal.

The view is fantastic - right across the harbour and St Ives bay.

The transaction was handled very smoothly, absolutely no complaints, good directions and plenty of advice. Very good service.

We would happily recommend this apartment to anyone - first class.

Amazing apartment!

My boyfriend and i stayed in the penthouse in the middle of Jan 09. I had seen photos of the apartment before we went but it was even better when we got there.

Location - The entrance to the apartment is on one of the main streets in St Ives and is ideally situated for everything you could need.

Apartment - I could not fault one single thing in the apartment, everything has been finnished to an excellent standard and the shower is lovely after a long walk in the cold! We had everything you could need.

View - I honestly think this apartment has the best view in St Ives, its great for watching the world go by and the weather coming in.

We had a perfect week and i would highly recomend this apartment to anyone, its ideal for a romatis getaway. St Ives is a wonderful place and there are lots of lovely places to eat and drink very close by. The Alma and the Seafood Cafe are 2 of our favourites.

We will be back hopefully next year.

A perfect New Years

We stayed here over new years as a small family, and although there were a lot of us, the central location of the apartment made it easy for anyone to go for a quick walk along the sea front. The view from the apartment was perfect, when the tide comes in it almost feels like you're in a boat, but with the home comforts of a power shower and freeview tv!

I will happily come back to St Ives, and will definitely stay at this apartment again!

Vista of St Ives Bay

Review Submitted: November 27, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
What a reward on climbing the three flights of stairs from busy Fore Street--a bird's-eye view of the Bay. The aquamarine sea and artists' light are breathtaking . A joy to watch seals and cormorants feeding on the shoals swept in on the tide.
A well appointed and comfortable apartment with loads of hanging space! For those that just have to be on-line, Laura provides an internet dongle although many cafes and pubs now provide free WiFi.
The branch line to St Erth and back provides beautiful scenery and you are bound to see many waders on the salt marshes.
The Cafe on Porthwidden beach is a fabulous location and we particularly enjoyed the fare at OnShore below the apartment on the Wharf. Further afield on the south coast, the Wave Cafe at Coverack produced fabulous food---Friday night Fish & Chips with the added bonus of BYO wine.

This property is smack in the centre of St Ives so once you've parked your car you can forget about it. The view of the harbour from the lounge day or night is great, and is especially beautiful on a clear night when the moon is out shining on the water.

All the facilities are new and modern. Nice bathroom with a good powerful shower, more than big enough kitchen and a nice cosy sofa to laze around on with good views! The telescope was also particularly useful to spy on the activities in the harbour, especially when the lifeboat goes out!

As its right in the centre of town you can expect a little noise early in the mornings and sometimes late at night, but nothing to put you off. The benefits are that there are great restaurants within easy walking distance. & would particularly recommend the Mermaid Seafood restaurant.

The owner was very helpful, and arranged in advance for us to have internet access.

Very relaxing, lovely scenary and good walks to walk off the plentiful cream teas and pasties!!
