Set back from Ringwood Rd the location is peaceful, private and above all safe for kids. The accomodation is well furnished and of good standard. Laminate floor throughout, fully fitted kitchen (except washer and the beds (with memory foam mattress) were comfy and all bedding and towels were included.

The pool is 1m in depth and aprox 10m in length. The best thing is that it is a constant 85 degrees in temperature so great on a cloudy day. The pool area can be closed off for safety if you have kids.

The new bungalow is in close proximaty and if you are there when it is occupied then you will have to share the surrounding garden, pool area and parking but there is plenty of room.

Our only sugestion to Brigette and John was to fit curtains that gave some sun blocking factor as our kids (2 1/2 and 9 months) were up at the crack of dawn every morning.

3 Legged Cross is a great location for visiting Dorset and the surrounding areas contains many family friendly places such as Moor Valley Forest Park, Poole, Bournmouth, Farmer Palmers, Swanage Railway and Corfe Castle etc....
Owner's Response: thank you for your review, it was really nice to meet you and im so sorry you didnt mention the bedroom being too light untill you were leaving, as we would have been only too happy to put up a blind for you. it is good to get feedback from our guests, most things are easily sorted!

blackout blind to be fitted saturday :)

Brilliant Holiday

Review Submitted: October 9, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We had a wonderful week in the Bungalow. Brigitte and John were the perfect hosts, welcoming us with a bottle of wine and flowers and always there if we needed anything. The Bungalow was excellent, a real home from home and the grounds and pool were both safe and secure, which allowed our 7yr old son who is autistic to have the time of his life in all that space. We mentioned we would feel more comfortable if the pool gates could be locked when Ryan was "exploring" and within minutes John had not only done it but also given us the key so we could get access as and when we felt like. The pool was brilliant, heated and always available from dawn till whenever we locked up for the evening. This was Ryan's first holiday and overall
we could not have chosen a better location, highly recommended. We miss it already. Would definitely return. Thank you Brigitte and John for the most relaxing, enjoyable holiday !!!!!!!!!!

We stayed in this property in the last week of June 2009 with our two young children. We had a fantastic stay. The property was clean and well maintained, and the grounds are large with wild rabbits to entertain the children! The best feature is without a doubt the heated swimming pool. We used it every day and didn't leave the property on 3 days as we were happy to splash around. There is also a boules area in the grounds.
Less than 5 mins drive from the property is a forest park with fantastic walks and playgrounds for kids. Bournemouth is about 20mins away by car and the New Forest is closer. There is an excellent Waitrose within a 10min drive for supplies.
Owners are very helpful and we had an incredibly relaxing week, in spite of spending it with our toddler and 6wk old baby. Would recommend.

Homestaed farm is a lovely place, the house is nice and clean. There is a big garden with a heated pool, witch is great if the weather is not so good. Our children have swim every day and they enjoyed themselfs very much.
The house is in a great location, where there is a lot to do and see. It is close to Moorse valley , a forrest that the children really liked, because there is a lot to can do there.
I can really recommand it.
Greeting from Lis , of the Netherlands

Homestead farm bungalow -Three legged Cross Dorset

Review Submitted: July 6, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Holiday - Sat 30th of May to Saturday 6th of June 2009.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom bungalow at Homestead farm and found it to be an excellent property, facilities and location.

The owners were great and very helpful.

The bungalow was clean and had all the facilities needed.

We managed to squeeze a small travel cot into the main double bedroom.

It was great for the children, lots of land for our 3 year old daughter to run around in.

The swimming pool was lovely and warm and our daughter spent several hours a day in it.

It is very close to lots of attractions.

Moors Valley park is only a couple of miles down the road, great for all ages, a great play park for children and the mini steam trains are fun to ride on.

Wonderland Adventure park is about a 15 minute drive away, great for younger children and was very quiet when we went on a weekday during school term.

Monkey World was a 40 minute drive away.

Studland beach via the ferry at Sandbanks is a 45 minute drive away and well worth the visit.

I would recommend this property to a friend and we will be definitely returning next year.

We spent a week at the bungalow last year and knew what to expect, a warm welcome from Bigitte & John, very clean and well equipped with everything to make our stay comfortable! The pool was wonderful, the garden and grounds well maintained and lovely to look at. Local shops ,not to far away if needed. Lots of places to visit and Bounemouth is about 10 miles away.Just a perfect stay, and will look forward to our next stay at Homestead Farm. Thank you Brigitte& John, it was excellent ! Keith & Patsy

Beautiful bungalow in Three Legged Cross, just about 20 mins from Bournemouth. The bungalow is finished to a very high standard.

We received a very warm welcome with a bottle of wine ready which went down a treat!

Peaceful surroundings and excellent for a relaxing holiday.

If you choose to stay here you will be very pleased with it. The bungalow is lovely, tidy, clean, well equipped and comfortable and the pool is really nice. The garden is HUGE, secure and perfect for young children to run off some steam. Fresh flowers, wine and chocs on arrival set the tone! - such a nice touch from two very considerate and warm people.
Brochure rack also good touch - made choosing what to do all week very easy!
Area is nice, rural AND close to coast, best of both worlds!
Lots to see and do in the area, we have 2 young children and the week flew by - we didn't have time to do even a quarter of the things available in the area.
Reasonable local shop, petrol station, and friendly pubs.
Bournemouth not so great for entertainment if, like us, you have disabilities - parking is a problem - but travel down a bit, to Southbourne, Christchurch and further that way and you've got some lovely more accessible coast, with good facilities.
I'd recommend Adventure Wonderland if you've got young children - it's not expensive and it's a fun day out. We went as far out as Longleat and the motor museum, plus down to the tank museum and the monkey sanctuary - the bungalow was a good base for this.
We hire a similar property every year and we've had some good, some bad and some just ok, and I can confidently say that this is one of the best we have hired so far. Accommodation, price, facilities, welcome, local area, everything was great! We will definitely be back!

Bungalow at Homestead Farm

Review Submitted: October 8, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
The welcome from Brigitte & John was very warm, accomodation superb and the location excellent. We had a very peaceful and enjoyable week, where we were able to enjoy the many local places to visit as the location is accessed easily by major roads.
The accomodation was very well equipped, modern, clean and the owners had thought of every last detail. The pool was a huge bonus and we used it every day, particularly as it is heated to an extremely pleasant temparature.

We had a very enjoyable holiday and can certainly recommend this bungalow, furthermore we are planning to book again next year.

A Fantastic Holiday

The bungalow was spotlessly clean and very much a home-from-home with every need catered for. Many thoughtful, unexpected extras from warm hosts John and Brigitte. The pool was warm which means that even in September we used it every day with our young daughter. A fantastic holiday, we will definitely be back.
