Feeling home far from home

The four of us spent two wonderful weeks on Sardinia, which were all the more relaxing thanks to Susan and Martin.
Their appartment is perfectly located (only a good km from the nearest sandy beach), perfectly equipped (even with a starter set of milk, coffee..., quite outstanding), and the two of them are the most friendly and helpful hosts one could imagine.
It was quite hard for us to leave again, and we will definitely come back !

With excellent directions from the owners we managed to find the apartment easily. On our arrival we found the apartment spacious, very clean and with an extremely well equipped kitchen that even included a teapot! Martin and Susan had a good supply of beach items to borrow in the apartment and we found the beach umbrella proved very useful. There was ample room for a family of four with a generous sized dining table and also a reasonable size balcony which had a great view of Tavolara. In both the bedrooms there was plenty of storage space for our belongings. Martin and Susan did kindly supply fans for the apartment, however air conditioning would be a useful addition. The bathroom was a good size and had a decent shower. Overall we were pretty impressed with the apartment - a good location to get to the beaches, although a car is essential, and a fairly short drive to the local towns.

We thought about installing air conditioning but we would need to charge a much higher rental fee. Being fortunate that there is usually a cooling night breeze we decided that for most of the time air conditioning is not required.

Spacious, nicely furnished with great location

We enjoyed a relaxing stay in Vaccileddi - we are two adults and our two daughters (both aged 15). The apartment is spacious and clean. We liked the modern style and tasteful furniture. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom with shower is spacious, too.
From the apartment its a short drive to the beach ( 5 min.). We had nice excursions with the car to other small cities and beaches around. There are many nice places with spectacular views in this area of Sardinia. The see is absolutely clear, most of the beaches we would recommend for small children, too.
Everything that is necessary for daily live can be bought in Porto San Paolo.
During our stay we had great weather, it was very hot - but every night we enjoyed a refreshing breeze.
We found the village of Vaccileddi save and clean, the car can be parked behind the apartment.
Thanks to Martin and Susan for their recommendations and the nice talks.

Great hideaway

Our family of 4 spent a great week at the apartment. The apartment was extremely clean and well equipt with all the necesserties for a great vacation.
Martin and Susan are the perfect hosts. Very friendly and helpful, without trying to be part of our vacation - and that is in spite of them living just downstairs.
The area is very quiet and beautiful. At first glance we were a little nervous about it beeing to secluded, but we soon discovered all the beautiful beaches, restaurants and shopping opportunies. However, a car is necessary because it is too warm to walk long distances.
We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place to other families or couples.

It is a quiet, unspoilt area and we definitely recommend car hire, it means that you can explore all the must see places as well as the many nearby fantastic beaches. You could go to a different beach every day or enjoy the excellent local beach of Porto Taverna.
For those who find the summer months too hot we can recommend the Spring and Autumn months which are perfect for walks along the coast and exploring the mountains.
It is a quiet, unspoilt area and we definitely recommend car hire, it means that you can explore all the must see places as well as the many nearby fantastic beaches. You could go to a different beach every day or enjoy the excellent local beach of Porto Taverna.

Lovely, very comfortable, well equiped, clean apartment in peaceful area. Good location for some beautiful beaches and all local amenities. Very easy to get to by car from Olbia.

We have just returned from Sardegna. It was a great holiday! The appartment fulfiled all our expectations: well equipped (for whole family), clean, in small beautiful village and with nice view on island Tavolara from terrace. 15 min by car from airport Olbia. Around 1 km till nearest beach, but we would recommend to use a car to get to many other nice beaches nor far from Porto San Paolo and San Teodoro. Supermarkets, restorants, bars etc., shopping opportunities in the both mentioned towns. There are also many interesting cultural places which could be reached by car in one day (both ways).
Warmest thank to Susan and Martin for hospitality as well as for help in getting visa.
We would recommend to visit Sardegna and stay in this appartment.

Lovely, immaculate apartment. Very close to many beautiful beaches. Really nice and helpful owners. Had such a good time with our 4 yr old and 7 month old baby, we will be back!

My wife and I and our 2yr old stayed here in mid September and could not fault the apartment in any way. It felt very homely (without feeling like you were in someone else's home) and the apartment was very well equipped, even having a hand blender!
As far as things to do, you are very close to many lovely beaches, with one very nice one within 15 min walk and many others within a very short drive. Martin and Susan were very hospitable and helpful (yet politely inconspicuous considering how close by they are , which very reassuring), even ensuring that we arrived to find basic provisions like tea coffee and milk and our first breakfast supplied. Thanks again to you both for a faultless stay.

Myself & my boyfriend spent a week at the apartment at the beginning of Sept.
The apartment is set in a lovely peaceful location with great views of Tavolara, the tall island off the coast of Sardinia.
The hosts live in an apartment below, and are extremely helpful - they gave us various hints on where to eat, places to see etc. They gave the apartment a real homely feel; even down to the selection of CD's, books & games provided!
It was a real pleasure to stay in the apartment and we'd definitely recommend to couples/young families etc. Martin & Susan couldn't of made us feel more at home.

This was only our second visit to Sardinia and the first to the eastern coast. Martin and Susan's apartment was a lovely place to be based in to explore this region. The apartment itself was every bit as good as suggested by the photos and the owners made you feel warmly welcome. We would have no hesitation about recommending this as a great location - easy to get to from Olbia airport, but you feel well away from the crowds - a great beach very near, which is a bonus out of so many to choose from.
