The apartment was lovely

Review Submitted: December 15, 2008 Date of Stay: December 2008
The apartment was lovely. Very comfortable and with superb river views, you could not get closer to the Thames ! The location was peaceful, just what was needed after the Christmas rush in Central London. We used our ticket for a free river cruise ( from the Original London Bus Tour, tickets purchased using Tesco Clubcard Deals ! to get to the London Eye from Greenwich ), highly recommended. Many thanks for your help Janie, we had a great weekend.

Merry Christmas and thanks again

Sue
Owner's Response: Another happy holiday maker - we are always very pleased when our visitors enjoy their stay in this great apartment.

Positive Experience

Jan2 Chicago, IL USA
Review Submitted: October 7, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
My friend and I had a very positive experience at this apartment. It was extremely quiet, with a park on one side, the Thames on another and a courtyard on the third. You could hear birds chirping, a rarity in noisy London. The flat was very clean, well equipped and maintained. The proximity to Greenwich was a plus, as that's a spot you might not otherwise explore. Fantastic buildings, the Observatory, some terrific restaurants and an amazing outdoor covered market are must-sees.

The main negative is the distance to central London. We found the water transport to be the best choice and it's a good 30+ minutes once you board at Greenwich. On the other hand, it's a beautiful trip past all the great sites on both banks of the river, and you get to travel in a calm environment, in contrast to the Tube experience. To me the distance was more than outweighed by the serenity of the flat, but it's a choice you have to make.

Another thing to check into is the arrangements for pickup of keys and navigation from Canary Wharf to the flat. Our taxi driver had a hard time finding the place that had the keys, and he had no idea where Luralda Wharf was once we had them. Make sure you get very clear directions all the way from the train to the door of the apartment.
Owner's Response: As these guests have experienced the loctaion of this apartment is fantastic and the river travel just the best way to get to the West End via all the famous tourist attractions - Big Ben, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London etc.

Review Submitted: August 30, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The apartment is in a nice location however i was charged 100 pounds cleaning which is strange as we left it cleaner than we found it.The curtain pole aiso fell off the wall on day 1 and we were charged, as we stayed 2 weeks we had lots of early mornings with daylight at 5am.Owner didnt give a call to check how things were and as i own rental properties i thought it might have been courteous to do so.
Owner's Response: The family from Ireland were charged £50 check out cleaning fee as they left the apartment as if a bomb had hit it, including leaving all their rubbish from two weeks. The curtain rail was clearly pulled off at great force, as if someone had swung from the curtains, the screws were pulled right out of the wall and the charge was £50 to repair this. It may have been a good idea to report this as soon as it happened so that it could have been repaired.

People never like to pay for their breakages or mess.

Top place to stay in Londong

Delgany Lane Cove, Sydney
Review Submitted: July 14, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
The location is just outstanding with walking over to Greenwich , riding on the DLR and taking the ferries up and down the Thames meaning we could get to wherever we wanted to in London in no time. The flat also had free parking which saved us heaps as we could hire a car at Heathrow. And the flat itself was warm and well equipped... indeed better than the photos suggest. Highly recommened!
Owner's Response: Confirmation of excellent location and great value for money when wishing to visit this Amazing Capital City.

Great choice for a week in London

PS Victoria, Australia
Review Submitted: July 9, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
In late May our family of four (almost all adults) enjoyed 1 week at this great location. It is right on the river with views across and up the river. We found transport to central London easy to access ( boat and light rail). Greenwich is a short trip under the Thames, and memorable days and evenings were spent enjoying all that Greenwich offers. Access to supermarkets for food supplies was not difficult. The adjacent park was wonderful for our son who wanted space to kick a football, and the footpaths along the Thames great for walking and running. We almost stayed in South Kensington and we are so glad we chose this apartment as our base for exploring London. Lastly we found Janie efficient to work with when organising this accommodation, and Lee obliging in meeting us on arrival. We are looking forward to another stay and would recommend this holiday apartment to family and friends.
Owner's Response: This review confirms our belief that this apartment is a great location as a base for visiting all the sights in London. It is also in such a lovely and convenient setting for local ammenities and views of the river and park.

What can I say...We Loved it!!!
It was better than described! The apartment had every thing we needed and the view across the river of the Royal Naval College was fantastic.
We were so close to the DLR, the walking tunnel under the Thames and the water taxi, we couldn't ask for anything better.
There is a great bakery in Greenwich which shouldn't be missed.
All the sights in Greenwich make a wonderful day out and of course the rest of London is just a short ride away.
We would recommend this place to everyone and I for one will stay again the next time I come to visit.
Owner's Response: This review confirms that this great little apartment is in one of the best locations in London with views that can be enjoyed all day every day. Plus the excellent transport links via train, bus and boat to all areas and tourist sights.

London Marathon Weekend - Luralda Wharf

Review Submitted: May 5, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
I rented the Luralda Wharf apartment over the London Marathon weekend.

This was an ideal location, as the apartment is close to the DLR and Greenwich foot tunnel. (Open 24 hrs). Literally a few of minutes walk to both.

The apartment was a generous size and was immaculately clean.

For somewhere quiet, but still close enough to get around London, this is an ideal apartment.

It's also great for a large family, as there are 2 bathrooms (one on suite).

Excellent communications with Janie, and Lee was very helpful, when picking up and dropping off the keys.

I would definitely recommend this apartment as a great place to stay in London.

Thanks
Owner's Response: We really appreciate such a great review.

Great place to stay, the appartment has all that you need, the views are terrific, the transport is great (though you'll need to study night buses' routes if you plan to return home after midnight).

Owners are really considerate, you'll even find a bucket full of felt-tipped pens ready to be (ab)used by your kids ;) and fresh issue of Timeout London waiting for you every Wednesday
Owner's Response: We are really happy that our Moscow visitors enjoyed their stay in our apartment and can confirm how terrific the views are and what a great place to stay it really is.

Just thought I would add a comment saying how fantastic our stay at your wonderful apartment was – we will defiantly be coming back again! The river views are amazing and the Thames Clipper boats are an ideal way to get about (as YOU suggested) and we had a great day on the London Eye. We loved Greenwich and found some really good restaurants around Canary Wharf too. The apartment was clean and tidy and very comfortable. The shower in the en-suite was fantastic. I will be recommending the apartment to my friends and family. Thanks again Paul and family
Owner's Response: Thank you Paul for your feedback about this lovely Luralda Wharf apartment - its great to know that you found the location and the flat just to your liking. Always good to have such a positive recommendation from a third party.
