Great Place

Review Submitted: August 29, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We (2 adults and 2 young boys) stayed for a week at this very pleasant and conveniently located apartment (a nice grocery store - waitrose - is just around the corner; nearest tube station is only a 5 min walk). Located in fancy part of London (rows of embassies around corner). A great base from which to explore London.

The apartment was very clean and spaceous; wel equipped kitchen; pleasantly cool in the warm summer; nice private garden to relax after a day of sight seeing. Nice amenities (wireless internet; boys loved the big screen tv). Lidiana welcomed us upon arrival and was very helpful and attentive throughout our visit. Thanks!

I would definitely recommend this property to friends.

It was wonderful to be able to sit outside in your own private garden. Since we arrived at 8 in the evening after a long flight, we really appreciated that Lidiana had stocked the kitchen with tea, coffee, milk, fruit, breakfast and supper! One and a half bathrooms is great for 2 people. Wish we could have stayed for 2 weeks instead of one!

Highly recommend this apartment. Lidianna is so charming and welcoming. On arrival she was there to meet us and provide us with all necessary information. The welcome pack of food was a real bonus also. Great location and the garden was such a luxury as London was experiencing a heatwave at the time. All equipment is of a high standard and would recommend this apartment to visitors to London. Even with 4 adults we were not cramped.

Absolutely Spectacular!

London was our last stop on a 4 city, 16 day trip through Europe. As you can imagine, we arrived exhausted and a little tired of traveling. But once we started the walk from Knightsbridge Station down Sloane Street, our moods lifted slightly as we passed designer shops, such as Prada, Jimmy Choo and Armani. As we approached the apartment we noticed Ferrari's, Mercedes and Bentley's everywhere. We knew we weren't in any old neighborhood!

We were met by a smiling Lidiana, who showed us around this incredible apartment. She had even stocked the refrigerator with a few necessities, so we wouldn't have to run out to the store right away! Nice touch! The apartment is everything it claims to be! Spacious, clean and very bright! The garden was amazing!!! So peaceful and relaxing!

The location was perfect! Close to Knightsbridge and Sloane Square underground stations, many bus stops, and taxis are readily available in front of the Jumeirah Carlton Tower? just steps away. We actually skipped public transport one day and walked to Buckingham Palace to watch the changing of the guards, then continued on towards the river right by Big Ben and across the bridge to the London Eye. We walked along the south bank, enjoying the street performers and artists, and on to the Tate Modern Museum and the Millennium Bridge. This was a fabulous walk and even our teenagers didn't complain...much!

Oh and I forgot to mention that there is a Starbuck's and Waitrose Grocery store around the corner, just past the Christian Louboutin Shoe Store! I know...it was a shopper's paradise!!

We highly recommend this apartment and will certainly stay here on our next trip to London! Thank you John and Lidiana!

Serenity in London

Very quiet, clean, modern flat in a posh area. The rear garden was peaceful and a good place to read a couple of chapters. There was a nice library and video collection in the flat and the kitchen was great. Starbucks and Waitrose grocery just a block away. There are a few steps to navigate, but this was not a problem for us and our small boys. Lidiana was very friendly and helpful. Good value ... we'd definitely stay again!

Home Away From Home

My week in this wonderful flat was great. With the Waitrose
market around the corner and other stores near by , one
could not ask for more.John was always promp with advice
and any questons needing answered . Arriving at the flat
after a long flight , there was Lidiana (with her warm and
welcoming smile ) waiting at the front door. There was no
better way to start your day. After a night in the loud and busy West End , the flat was a perfect haven to come back too.

To any future guests there, enjoy it to its fullest...

Quiet, roomy and classy one bedroom apartment

Great location in Zone One for public transport-- lots of bus route selections near by plus both the Knightsbridge and Sloane Square Tube stations. Easy walking distance to Harrods and Buck palace. Three or four tube stops from Westminster station and Pier.

Apartment is as pictured, roomy, bright and warm, although the backyard is larger and much nicer than the pictures will show. Waitrose Grocery store is located around the corner. Even though you are close to everything it was remarkable how quiet the neighbourhood was, street noise did not intrude. The Park across the street was lovely and full of blooms at this time of year.

For us this was a much better option than a Hotel room, we had room to both "live" and sleep when recovering from the inevitable miles and hours of walking that you do in this great city, a nice kitchen to take advantage of fine English grocery and wine selections and a great dining room to enjoy our choices in. Having one and a half bathrooms was also appreciated.
Lidiana was very helpful and we knew she was available with assistance should we need it. The apartment is so well setup that we did not have need to call her during our stay. I would not hesitate to recommend or use John's apartment offering again, in fact, the sooner the better!

We were very pleased - thanks again

Sanctuary in London

The apartment is stunning. Warm, comfortable, well appointed and with an immaculate kitchen. Every day robins and squirrels were coming to visit us in the lovely garden, this made us feel very special and privileged to be able to be in touch with nature in the centre of London.
Excellent location with tube and buses just minutes away. A superior quality food store was just 2 minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment was recommended to us by friends who stayed earlier and were as much pleased as ourselves. We were so lucky to arrange this reservation within 24 hours of our arrival in the most efficient way. We have no hesitation to recommend this apartment and we hope to be able to be back there soon.

Two day break in London

Review Submitted: February 16, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
I took my two teenage children to London for a couple of days and we stayed in this lovely apartment. It was exceptionally clean and well equipped. We were met at the property to be shown round, and basic food provisions had kindly been provided. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could possibly want. The flat is quite luxurious and spacious, and the beds are very comfortable.

The area is safe and quiet with Waitrose literally round the corner. We walked to the Science Museum the afternoon that we arrived (10 minutes) passing the Victoria and Albert Museum on the way.

The nearest tube station is Sloane Square - 5 minutes walk which takes you straight onto the district and circle lines. Saatchi Gallery is just along from Sloane Square and well worth a visit, particularly at the moment with the Middle East exhibition on.

We walked from the apartment to the Churchill War Rooms which only took about 30 minutes, and then onto other central London sights.

All in all it was an excellent location and a beautiful apartment to come back to in the evening.
