Retreat in Italy

We have been to Vasciano many times, and hope to return before too long. Its attraction is two-fold. First it is a lovely old farmhouse conversion set in peaceful and pleasant wooded hill country, its charm enhanced by arriving up a steep and very rutty hill laneway. Secondly it is within easy one-day excursion distance to several delightful,unspoilt,art-filled Italian towns.
The house is, of course, old, with individuality, narrow stairs, thick walls and so on. The accommodation is not large, nor in any sense sumptuous. The rooms are quite small. But it seems to us perfectly and very tastefully equipped and decorated, with everything that one could need, and a very strong feeling of homliness, with books on shelves, and pictures on walls., Both house and grounds display evidence of personal and individual care, and are well maintained.
The description of the site and its access routes is very satisfactory.
We would certainly recommend this property to a friend.
