Wonderful Location

DTW Ottawa Canada
Review Submitted: July 24, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
Oxford Street (for wonderful shopping) is just a few blocks away, and if you walk a couple of blocks in the opposite direction you reach the Regent Street Tube, where we took a train to Picadilly Circus, and changed to one that took us directly to Heathrow Airport. It only cost a few pounds and was a great way to save on taxis. The apartment is centrally located, and had everything we needed. A wall clock would have been helpful, but everything else you could want was supplied. It was quiet at night, and the large windows provide wonderful light when the blinds are up during the day. Although it is only a one bedroom apartment, my daughter and her two sons slept in the bedroom with the aid of a roll up bed, and I slept comfortably in the livingroom on the pull out sofa. The rooms are quite large with more than adequate storage space. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend this apartment to others who want a self-catering accommodation in wonderful London.

Fantastic flat for small family

Review Submitted: October 27, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We just returned from a trip to London, having stayed in this great 1br flat.

The location is top - just a few steps away from Marylebone High Street - a fantastic area with loads of shops, bookstores, cafes and restaurants. Marylebone is perhaps the most charming "village" in Central London. It has everything you need, from Waitrose/Tesco grocery stores to Daunt's Bookstore (a very old and charming shop) to farmers markets, bars, etc. Transport links are superb - very easy access to Paddington, Kings Cross, Victoria and Waterloo via Tube. A short walk gets you to Selfridges, Oxford Street, museums and Soho. And less than five minutes walk to Regent's Park with the stunning rose garden, etc.

The flat itself is quite large and had everything we needed for our week-long stay. Toys and DVDs for the children, and plenty of space to ensure they could sleep quietly when we wanted to stay up late. Place to store push-chair in hallway meant we didn't have to trip over it all the time.

Roberto was invisible (perfect) after we "checked in" until we needed him (urgently) after having locked ourselves out. He arrived in less than five minutes, with a smile.

The flat is a wonderful option for small families looking for a more convenient (and MUCH less expensive than a basic hotel) way to enjoy London. We'll never stay in a hotel again.

Nice and well situated place

BARNABE MACON, Burgundy, FRANCE
Review Submitted: April 29, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
The appartment was very nice and wide, clean and pleasant. We found everything as explained when we arrived, and everything in order. We felt very well in that property and would recommend it to anybody. We had a great time in London.
Only a few details, listed below, could be improved :
- the shower water was very hard to keep at a constant temperature, and the pressure was very low.
- an extra key would be interesting to have, in case of loss, or in case of the family division in two different activities.
Some things we would have liked to have :
a wall clock, dish towels, an apron, more kitchen ustensiles, like a ladle or small cooking knives, a well maintained frying pan, a light above the wash basin in bathroom.
However, we enjoyed the place very much and it contributed for a great part in the success of our holidays.

Great location

Review Submitted: November 29, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
This property is in a great location, clean, and the owner provided prompt service when the heat was not on. Very close to a couple of grocery stores and a ton of shops and restaurants. The Regent’s Park Tube Station was just a 5 min walk as well.

I would not recommend this apt to older people or people with major disabilities due to the apt being down a set of stairs. The shower water was very hard to keep at a constant temp with very little pressure however; I think that has something to do with the age of the building. Some things we would have liked to have in the apt: A Clock, washcloths and hand towels, more dish towels and more bath towels. An extra key would have been great too; we were concerned about locking ourselves out and it would have been nice for the two of us to each have one. Everything else was covered.

All in all, we had a great time. We felt very safe and comfortable and would stay here again.

Living in the middle of London, if only for a week

Review Submitted: May 15, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
This is a spacious one bedroom apartment, in an excellent location---within walking distance of most of London's major attractions, shopping, and restaurants, with easy access to public transport for anything else. The owners were very hospitable. We had a great time!
Thanks,
a family from Oklahoma, USA
