Beautiful Villa and fantastic pool

D and T Guildford
Review Submitted: July 14, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
Just come back from a week in this lovely Villa. It was exactly as described. The Villa was spotlessly clean and well maintained as was the pool. The owner was very helpful and stayed in contact right up until we left and once we got home. I would definately recommend this Villa and is perfect for couples wanting a quite week away from it all or for a family as there is ample bedroom space and two bathrooms. We found a lovely restaurant in Bali which is 10 min drive away called Panorama and is worth a visit. Would definately stay at this Villa again if we went back to Crete.

Fantastic Villa in a lovely area

SDT Nottingham
Review Submitted: October 26, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We stayed in this Villa during September 2009. Roumeli itself is a peaceful Greek Village with good amenities (Good sized Supermarket, Restaurant and Coffee Bar). Having a small child we were completely put at ease by the child friendly and welcoming attitude of all the locals and especially Restaurant and Bar Owners who were generally more than happy to accommodate our heavily laden push chair.

The area offers an outstanding selection of quality beach's, the closest being Panormo (which technically has 2 beaches) which is about a 10 minute drive away.

The area where the house is situated is on a private road with a few other Villa's around, this is nice as you don’t feel completely isolated yet the house is still very private. The house was great, well furnished to a high standard, comfortable with all the mod cons you would expect at home. Having children the washing machine was used several times. We loved the roof terrace as somewhere to escape to, which had stunning views, especially during the spectacular sunsets!! In the mornings we would usually breakfast on the front patio which is lovely with all the planted garden surrounding it, we especially liked the huge brick BBQ and cooked on it almost every night!!

The pool was also a big hit with everyone and was the biggest pool we have had at any of the villa's we have stayed at previously.

It’s also worth mentioning that Maura the owner was exceptionally helpful with the whole booking, as was Franz (who lives in Crete and looks after the house) who met us at 2am, showed us around everything and then spent the rest of the week answering all of our questions regarding, where to go and what to do.

All in all we loved our week and will be booking again.

Holiday in Roumeli

What a beautiful villa in lovely surroundings! We have just returned from spending a week here and wish we could have stayed longer. It was exceptionally well maintained and clean. Many thanks to Frans and Laura for their help and advice on activities within the area. Roumeli had some interesting walks and Panormo, down the road was a lovely fishing port with some great tavernas.

Exceeded my expectations!

Review Submitted: May 27, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
I cannot say enough about our stay at this villa. The location was tranquil and private. Views from the roof terrace of the sea and mountains was perfect. Everyone was friendly and helpful in the small community of villas, especially Frans!

Could not have asked for more and highly recommend this villa.

Family Holiday in Crete

Rob & Co Siena, Italy
Review Submitted: February 10, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2008
Good solution for families with children: always swiimming in the pool!!
Confortable house, usefully furnished ; complete kitchen to cook if you do not go out to eat every evening.
Not far away from beautiful seaside and from Crete mountains, very close to stores and to restaurants.
Very good customer service and nice neighboorhood.
the house has a central position in the island, next to the main route but not in a busy place. Car is needed.
Crete is beautiful island, lot of things to see and this is a very good place to stay! Do not think to come here to go to the same seaside every day: visit mountains, springs, caverns, towns and famous seaside too.

A peaceful, relaxing holiday

Ansi Munich, Germany
Review Submitted: February 1, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
The well- equipped, comfortable house is part of a small neighborhood of modern homes in the hills above Panormos, about 5 kms. from the beach. The views are lovely, the area peaceful and the beds comfortable (firm, no dip in the middle!). The children as well as the adults enjoyed a morning wake-up swim in the pool and a cooling off swim in the evening.

The communication with the owner was uncomplicated and very pleasant.

A car is needed to get to the beach and to the tavernas. Panormos is panoramic and not overrun, at least in late August and early September. The area is perfect for day trips (caves, olive oil producing farms, convents, churches, small, picturesque villages, the two nearby cities and other beaches).

If you are looking for quiet, and don't mind having to get places with the car this might be the place for you. We would definitely return here again (although for the coming year it is already booked during our summer possibilities).......
