Wonderful location, fantastic house.

Our expectations of the house were already high after reading the description here, but the reality surpassed everything we had hoped for.

The location really is wonderful - secluded, but not isolated and with unspoilt views of the sea and the south of Kefallonia. Koroni beach was never full while we were there - quite often we were the only people on the beach.

The house is furnished to a very high standard, was impeccably clean when we arrived and the Wii proved a great hit with the children. The overall service provided was excellent - the best we have experienced during our years of staying in holiday homes across Europe.

We had some good meals in Katelios, but mostly we cooked in the excellent kitchen, or barbecued outside - the supermarket tips from the owners were very useful (and the beef from the Champion supermarket was lovely).

Kefallonia itself is an interesting island - we liked Argostoli, just a 25 minute drive away - the locals and other tourists alike were very friendly.

The children thoroughly recommend the hammock for quiet reading time and we can thoroughly recommend Koroni Beach Villa to anybody looking for a luxury getaway with time spent lounging by a pool or lazing on a beach.

We'll be back.

Excellent villa, location and island.....

Villa has been finished to a very high standard - fully equipped - including dishwasher!! Very clean. The pictures on the profile do not really prepare you for just how stunning it is. Villa details/directions etc sent via email a week before departure - so I could look it up on Google Earth and get my bearings!!

Private and quiet location

We arrived at night - and the light had been left on for us - as well as a Welcome Hamper - to sit on the balcony, beer in hand- listening to the sea and crickets was well worth the hassle of airports and flying.

Fab pool and terrace - looking out to the sea - turn around and dramatic mountains. The pictures on the profile are genuine - I took exactly the same shots with my camera!!

Nearest village 10 mins by car or Skala about 20 mins - both offering a good number of tavernas. Supermarkets open all hours.

A car is essential - as villa is down a track. But driving up to north of island is well worth the vertigo with all the bends and mountain roads

The 'caretaker' - Gorgeous George - as I called him - was a star - with his helpful tips on where to go/eat/visit/history of the island.... But his wine could strip paint and I left it in the fridge!!

Kephalonia is my favourate Greek island - with stunning landscapes, beautiful villages and lovely people.

A very relaxing time was had by all - and over too quickly

Highly recommended accommodation - and I will be back...

Great Villa

First time in Kefalonia for 20 years! Great Villa in a stunning location. Property very clean, nice welcome pack including beers! Description of villa and location very accurate. The only improvement would be a shady eating area (with fridge for beers) by the pool area. We had a few lunches out but spent all our evevnings eating in watching the fantastic sunsets. Children and adults had a great time in the pools, hammock was also well used.
Koroni Beach is lovely and the beach bar/taverna is a wonderful chilled out (almost an Ibiza vibe) place to spend some time.
Would love to return one day.

After a dreadful flight, finding the villa at midnight was no mean feat!! Luckily the directions were clear, and the lights had been left on, so we discovered the pool all lit up. A midnight swim was fabulous.

The photos had prepared us a bit for the view, but waking up the following morning to see such a stunner was great, and we enjoyed it every day for the rest of the week.

Great holiday, great villa and both owner and caretaker very friendly and helpful. Will go back again asap..... (kids would like it to be next week!)

We had a wonderful time, and the villa and its location is fantastic. Our best vacation ever, 3 times better than an apartment with pool in Napoli and 20 times better than an apartment in Tariffa.

Unforgetable family holiday

After salivating over the wonderful pictures for so long before setting off for Kefallonia it’s hard to imagine the villa living up to our expectations, but it did that and a whole lot more. With the sea in front of you and mountains behind Koroni villa could not be set in a more magical location.

The villa is wonderful, inside and out, having everything you would expect from a luxury getaway. It has been impeccably decorated and furnished and it’s hard to drag yourself away from the villa to explore the rest of the island. Once you do you find a truly beautiful island and extraordinarily friendly people. Koroni beach is wonderful and for the majority of time we were the only ones there.

We had a truly wonderful holiday which we won’t forget for a long time and we would highly recommend Koroni villa for anyone looking for a luxury getaway in the sun.

Wonderful holiday

To the owners - I have just got to say "thank you" for such a wonderful holiday.

We are in love with your villa! The fitting out with its modern designer furniture; the facilities - just everything provided from cds, Nintendo for the kids, to beautiful tableware for outdoor dining under the loggia. Whether lazing on the sunbeds or cooling off in the jucuzzie where the sea and pool seem to meet - perhaps that was my glass of wine adding to the effect not just the "Infinity pool"! The love seat where we curled up to watch the sunset over the ocean each evening; masses of room on the patios. The villa was impecable.

Koroni beach is straight out of a holiday brochure. Golden sand and warm lapping water in a perfect crescent surrounded by cliffs, a welcoming taverna at one end - and our villa perched above! To top it all we missed by one day seeeing baby turtles hatch on the beach. (It's supposed to be a secret but there were 2 turtle nests on Koroni beach this season!)

I was living in a dream world and I can't wait to come back. Yes, as you advised, we did sample the many restaurants at Katelious which we thoroughly enjoyed but nothing topped returning for a midnight swim in our own pool under the stars.

Koroni Beach Villa is very special. Please, can we come back next year?

This villa is truly amazing. Superb location with the best, uninterrupted views available. Probably the best location on the entire island with the best beach the shortest distance away (if you can leave your private pool and jacuzzi, suspended high above a valley overlooking the ocean, alone for a minute). The ideal getaway. We will not forget our stay here in a hurry and look forward to returning one day soon.
