Wonderful Holiday

Review Submitted: August 16, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We stayed at the flat and were very impressed! It was exactly as listed and central to everything, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
Right from the get go Ian and John were great at answering all my questions (I asked a lot and they never complained!) they supplied lots of extra info on pubs, restaurants etc.
We arrived about an hour before we said we would...7am on a Saturday morning and even though we woke them we were greeted and shown our flat.
Thank you so much for the wonderful stay in London, would recommend to anyone for it's location, comfort and great landlords, don't hesitate to rent this flat.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your review it was very thoughtful of you - we look forward to looking after you on your next visit to London

Good location

The apartment has a very good location - just some tube stops from the centre, connecting with 2 different lines (Piccadilly & District) and a very peaceful neighbourhood + very friendly staff at the Tube station in Barons Court! It is just what we needed visiting "the biggest city in the world" with 2 (almost) teenagers. The apartment was provided with everything we needed (incl some DVD-s and magazines for the boys), the kitchen worked fine - at least you wouldn't anyway prepare a 7-course meal while travelling :-) The owner was friendly and everything matched the description. Would recommend this apartment for anybody (incl friends and relatives) for a nice stay in London.

Great flat in a fabulous location. Lots of local information provided by the owners; two tube lines minutes away; safe and convenient. The owners could not have been more accomodating - even providing cold bottled water and milk for our late arrival. Shops and restaurants close by and opened late. Looking forward to our next London visit and highly recommend the flat for travelers.

Just stayed for a week in this apartment and we loved it. Very convenient to Central London, yet so quiet! Great views of a lovely city garden. Very comfortable bed. Clean and very well presented. Don't forget to buy an Oyster card!

Very comfortable apartment convenient to two tube stops in a quiet neighborhood. The landlords were very pleasant and helpful. The flat had all the necessary conveniences and the owners had it well prepared including manuals for the appliances, menus for local restaurants and other thoughtful items. We toured a different London district each day and had no trouble with connections throughout the city. If or when we return to London, we will definitely stay at this flat again.

Nice property. Convenient for supermarkets, local pub, tube ( Barons Court, Piccadilly Line) and buses ( Nos. 9&10 take you to Oxford street). Didn't find a good restaurant nearby but there are one or two in central London! We arrived during a cold spell ( December) and the heating was not on, so it took a day or two to heat up - radiators were a bit small and there was no direct heating source. Won't be a problem in the summer. A couple of minor maintenance issues were addressed by the helpful owner, Ian.

Well equipped, compact, clean, kitchen. Milk, tea and coffee available on our arrival - nice.

Shower room, although small, was tastfully decorated. Good walk in shower.

Bedroom has minimilist furniture with the best view of the garden. Quirky but functional storage ( built in wardrobe)

Living area was pleasantly furnished - sofa bed was the only comfortable seating. Take breakfast on the dining table looking onto the garden.

Quiet peaceful area.

Definitely recommend this property over any hotel room. The property did what it said on the tin! The description was accurate.

London made easy

Review Submitted: November 27, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
Brilliantly located basement apartment and very quiet - you be hard pushed to think your in London. Well appointed with cleanliness paramount, and lots of little extras like guide books, reading books(should you have time) and magazines. Well located for getting around and would strongly advise getting an Oyster Card makes life so much easier and cheaper.

All round good London experience which we like to repeat.

The flat is a one bedroom affair with kitchen and livingroom overlooking a small inner courtyard with garden. The owners who live next door have tastefully renovated in shades of yellow with wood flooring and carpets, a masterfully done bathroom with black tiling and just the right touches of deep red and brown drapes and window coverings. West Kensington has great tube access on two lines and the neighborhood is a quiet district with young people, great pubs and a short run down to the Thames or a block away to run in cemetery & park. The owners were very helpful with orientation, both in London and immediate area. Good grocery stores in area and restaurants if you want out. Be sure to check out "Best smallest butcher in the UK store near tube station. We will stay again.
