well equipped villa in A1 cond with great pool

Our family of five had a great time in Villa Nicola. We would highly recommend it.
Our children are 16,14 and 12 and loved the pool which is very big and perfect depth. The villa was well appointed compared to other villa's we have stayed in and the welcome basket was very good. As everyone else has said the owners were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, also the local interpreter Mino was fantastic too and was even happy to come back to the airport with me when we had a problem with the hire car. We found all the shopkepers in Lendinuso to be very helpful especially Stefano in il Botteghino which we would recommend.
We visited Otranto and Gallipoli both of which are less than an hour away and are lovely in the evenings if you like wandering around old towns that overlook harbours. Both had plenty of restaurants and pizzeria that overlooked the sea.

memorable stay in salento

We enjoyed our 3 week stay in Villa Nicola very much. Lendinuso is a great and quiet holiday village with an italien atmosphere and no foreign tourists. Salento is called the 3rd island of Italy, which makes even very hot days pleasant as there is always a wind. Don't come and visit the region if you don't like fresh fish, mussels etc or if only a pizza makes you happy. The anti pasti are unbeatable. Salento is full of nature and culture: Lecce, Ostuni, Otranto, Gallipoli and other small villages you don't find in your guide. The adriatic ocean can be rather rough, but that makes the sea so attractive. Big thanks to Richard and Noirin for their hospitality and support.

Our holiday at Villa Nicola Lindinuso

Review Submitted: July 29, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We stayed at the Villa Nicola from 4th July to 11th July. The Villa was well maintained and very clean. The swimming pool is a great spot for young families. The local beaches are within walking distance. Our favourite beach was Campo de Mara which was quite safe for my four year old. We found the local people very friendly and were always ready to assist us if we needed help. There are a few good restaurants in the local area with very good food and service but if you wanted to travel further Lecce is a short distance away which is the Florence of the South and is truly well worth the visit. The owners Noreen and Richard were so helpful and were always available to assist us and make our holiday special. Overall we had a lovely stay in a very fine villa.

Just arrived back from a most enjoyable week in Villa Nicola. As we had no transport we were dependant on the hospitality of Richard and Noirin who were most friendly and helpful. We flew to Naples where we received a hearty welcome from Richard who drove us south to Lindinuso. Suprise suprise - there at the villa we were greeted by Noirin who showed us the wonderful facilities available to us. Without doubt the swimming pool was the big attraction - where we spent many lazy afternoons basking there in the glorious sunshine. The welcome basket was a sight to behold and provided us with essential food and beverage for a number of days. The Villa is ideally located just minutes from the local beach, which we found very peaceful and relaxing. We savoured the local seafood delicacies at Il Botteghino and enjoyed dining among the friendly locals. Lecce the Florence of the south only 14km away is a great place to visit. We were captivated by the baroque design of its architecture with its twisted columns and intricate detail. We enjoyed the ambiance of its beautiful bars and cafes. Dining out in the area is a big treat and above all we loved the multi course anti pasta. This is an ideal location to explore Puglia, but a car is a must! Alas, we didnt get to Otrento or the white city - This is for another day so we will definately be back!! I would highly recommend Villa Nicola to everybody who likes to be pampered!!!!
Owner's Response: We are happy indeed that you enjoyed your holiday in Villa Nicola and the surrounding area.
We wish to thank you for booking and for taking the time to post a review, and look forward to welcoming you back in the future
However, we need to clarify that airport pick ups, particularly from Naples, are not inclusive in our service.
It was just fortunate that a family member of ours was arriving that day on the same flight to Naples, and as we were collecting her, we were able to combine her collection with the offer of transportation to yourselves.
Airport collections can normally be arranged if required, but would need to be discussed and the cost agreed at time of booking.

We have just come back from a week at Villa Nicola. The week was great thanks to the beautiful villa and it's grounds, it was so nice we could've stopped at the villa for the whole week. There was a fantastic welcome basket and the owners were very helpful. The beaches are nice and the people are very helpful and love the children. There is a lovely bread shop and butchers. There are a couple of restaurants in the village, We can recommend Il Botteghino, the mussels were very good along with the fish dishes and pizzas. The surrounding towns looked beautiful. There are regular buses that you can take from the bus stop situated on the main road. Nice relaxing week!

Fantastic villa in ideal location to explore Puglia. The pool area was lovely with shaded area, BBQ and dining table/furniture. Pool was brilliant with various depths and easy access. The welcome pack was the best we have ever received. We lived off it for nearly 2 days! The villa has everything you need for a comfortable vacation, including air con. Richard and Noirin were most friendly and helpful. We found the immediate surrounding area was a bit quiet but we were there just before the season got under way. Lecce is a great place to visit and is a short drive away. Lots of bars/cafes/restaurants/shops and history. Ortranto is a good beach resort and Alberobello (Trulli Town) is a must. Lovely drive through some hills which is in contrast to the largely flat landscape.

Puglia in May

Review Submitted: May 27, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
My husband and I had a lovely week in Villa Nicola at the end of May. We were very happy with the facilities on offer, the villa was every bit as good as described and more than lived up to the photos. The kitchen was well equipped but the outstanding feature of the property is the fabulous pool area, which is actually quite hard to drag yourself away from given the glorious sunshine! Lendinuso is a quiet resort (we were there outside of the busy holiday season) and a car is essential for exploring the surrounding area. Puglia was a riot of wild flowers in May and the scenery was gorgeous. We particularly enjoyed days out in Gallipoli and Otranto and ate the freshest and most delicious seafood of our lives (twice!) at Oasi del Ricci restaurant at the sea's edge in Torre Canne. Thanks to the owners, Richard and Noirin, for their friendly welcome and advice, especially their recommendation to visit the safari park at Fasano, which proved to be a great day out. Our holiday was a great introduction to the area and we hope to be back.

We spent a fantastic week in Villa Nicola where we were left wanting for nothing . The facilities were outstanding and we couldnt get over the size of the pool where we spent many a happy hour or two. The location so close to the beach was fab. The fresh bread every morning from the local bakery ,the welcome basket on arrival ,Bob and Debbie and all they did for us ,the unbelievable town of Lecche , the airport being so close, where do i stop. All we can say is Outstanding and we will be back ! We would highly reccomend Villa Nicola to anyone who wants to experience a little piece of heaven.

Fantasic holiday spent in Villa Nicola, lots to do and see and just mins from beach. The villa was beautifully finished and the pool one of the best we have seen, perfect for kids. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the dvd collection great for those relaxing nights in. Easy access to the airport and short spin to Leece which is a must for any visitor. We will be back again.

What a fantastic place Puglia is to get away from 'it' all we had the most wonderful drive down from Rome leaving at 1:30pm to arrive in Lendinuso at 7:15pm. Roads were fantastic , not a great deal of traffic to contend with once a bit outside Rome and plenty of places to stop off and just relax. Once we arrived Debbie had everything there waiting for us including the wonderful welcome food so absolutely nothing to do other than jump into the pool and relax for a while in the warm evening air. this is our second time there with two teenage boys and it was a fantastic stay yet again the pool, house and patio are was fantastic beach and amenities in Lendinuso a stroll away. Thanks to Debbie and Bob for a wonderful trouble free stay in a wonderfully relaxed area, we loved Lecce and all the places in the area. adrive down towards Otranto is highly recommended.
