Lovely Apartment,lovely beaches

Review Submitted: September 24, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Stayed in Gill's apartment this September. Standard of the apartment was excellent, nice quiet location ,just as we like it.
Good restaurant (Pietrs) just across the road with a good mix of Spanish & International options.
Casa Fogan just past the Pizzeria excellent local fare including conejo & cabrito.
Beach, particularly on the Mar Menor side excellent.
Don't go if you want English & Irish bars, but if you want to join our laid back Spanish friends on holiday you'll love it!
Would definitely stay here again.
Chris
Owner's Response: Hi Thank you for the nice comments, the restaurant across the road (Pietrs or Peters) is definitely one of the best restaurants on the La Manga Strip and we are so lucky to have it on our doorstep.. I like the mussels, the fresh bread with alioli, the scrambled eggs with prawn and asparagus, the BBQ fish well anything really!! Look forward to hearing from you next year

Fantastic Apartment, Fantastic People

Gregski London
Review Submitted: September 7, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
I booked this apartment for a week long stay and was not dissapointed. The photos here are genuine, this is exactly as it looks. You have the Med at your doorstep and a short walk over the road you have the Mar Menor. There are a few local restaurants, a couple of bars and two supermarkets within easy walking distance. And the local bakery has some of the lovliest bread you'll ever eat. The La Manga Bus is frequent and takes you up and down the strip for only 1.05 euro per journey so you can use this to travel to some livlier places along the stip should you wish. Note, when its siesta time for the driver he'll just stop the bus regardless of where on the strip it is and everyione has to get off for an hour or so - be warned, I got caught out and had to walk for a long while - very funny !!!
If you want a peaceful relaxing getaway then there are fewer better places than this. Gill provides you with all the information you need before you arrive and communication with her is great. And the property manager Jo is very friendly and very helpful, just a phone call away if you need her.
I've just got back and am thoroughly relaxed and refreshed, will definaltey be staying here in the future.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your lovely comments. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay without the use of a car. It is one of my favourite places to be able to wake up and hear the sea. We look forward to seing you next year.

Best holidays in La Manga

Victor1962 Sintra, Portugal
Review Submitted: August 28, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
This was the 6th time we go on holiday in La Manga (the last time was in 2005) and I can guarantee that they were the best because the location and the views of the apartment are magnific so I recommend to anyone who wants to spend some wonderful days in beach and rest, waking and asleep with the sound of the ocean.
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write, I am pleased you enjoyed your holiday, hope you come back next year.

lovely appartment not a lot to do

ghost town durham
Review Submitted: June 26, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
we went to this appartment the end of may 2009,and found the appartment itself really lovely everything you need, but there was not a soul around that week, very quiet, joanne the lady who shows you to it ,was really pleasant ,i really liked her [very helpfull],this is not the time of year to go here ,unless you want a quiet and i mean [QUIET] holiday .we struggled to find a place to celebrate my birthday, its an up and coming resort where the appartment is,you definatly need a car, took nearly four weeks to get my deposit back, and the cheque cleared, which i was very annoyed about ,the owner had a bit of a dilema, but i still think i could have had a cheque in the post ,it would have took 5 minutes, overall i dont think we will go back to la manga ,not enough to do,but the appartment is lovely
Owner's Response: I am pleased you liked the apartment, but sorry that you found it too quiet. It is perfect if you like walking along the beach and watching the sun rise over the Med and the sun set over the Mar Menor, with out all the glitz of somewhere like Benedorm. There are lots of bars, restaurants, water sports and ferry at the Marina which is 3 km away. I am surprised and disappointed that you could not find a restaurant for your birthday celebration. There is one of the nicest restaurants on the La Manga strip which is right on the beach, opposite to the apartment and another one just 100 metres from the apartment, both of these are very Spanish. Both of these are open all year so I can only imagine that you were looking for something more ‘English’. This is a very Spanish part of Spain, at Easter, July, August and most Sundays, it is full of Spanish holiday makers, at other times, it is quiet, which is how we like it. I am so sorry about the deposit, as I explained I had to go away for 4 weeks to traumatic family inquest, but although I had written the cheque I left it on the side and had not realised that I had not posted it. I can only apologise for this error. In fact I was so disappointed that I had upset you that I have now dropped the £100 refundable deposit for future bookings

Peaceful apartment right on beachfront

Review Submitted: May 28, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Lovely new, clean apartment & in peaceful surroundings. I personally think you definately need a car as the only decent restaurant which was a walk away was Pieters, which was lovely but you wouldnt go there everynight especially as we have a baby.
The nearby harbour Tomas Maestro was lovely with some nice bars and restaurants.
Owner's Response: Hi Coco, thank you for your comments I agree if you want to see more of the area you will need a car. There is a very good bus service which runs up and down the strip, but this would not be too handy with a baby. With older children it is nice to hire a bike from the Marina. Thank you for using our company to buy a property in a livelier area of Murcia, now you will have your very own holiday home - Good Luck

Euromarina Towers, no 7 Veniciola, La Manga Strip

h2ow Yorkshire
Review Submitted: April 16, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
The apartment was very tastefully decorated and well equipped, although not sure I would take young children or babies. It was very clean and the lady who showed us round was very helpful and friendly. it was a very quiet time of year, but there were still enough restaurants and bars within walking distance to suit us for a week's stay. El Murciano was good, basic Spanish food at a reasonable price, La Playa Chica was very good, but a little more expensive. We didn't like Pizzerria Veneciola.
If you can't imagine life without a car, book one well in advance at peak times, as Easter week was difficult and we only had a car for three days. We walked or used the local buses a few times, which were fine. The ferry between St Tomas Marina and Santiago la Ribera was excellent and very cheap and saved a long drive round the strip.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments, there is also a fabulous beach restaurant across the road from the apartment called Esuela de Peter or Peters Restaurant, which is a great place to watch the sun set over the Mar Menor. They have an open BBQ during the summer months. The main season in La Manga is July and August when there are lots of people about, but we do like it out of season when it is quiet, but yes you probably need a car out of season I hope you come back again

The first time i have been to this area, and i wasnt dissappointed. This apartment really is on the beach! Very nice decor and would go again. The area is quiet but had everything we needed, my husband had the golf pitch and putt course, the kids loved the water sports and i loved the pool! All in all a great holiday. Thank you.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your nice comments. I am in La Manga today it is 18 degrees, sunny, not a cloud in the sky and it is only February! Hope you come back soon

We loved this apartment, we were there in June it was as you see, lovely and clean, well situated, the views are brilliant. Would recommend it to anyone who likes a relaxing holiday.
Although there is plenty to do if you wish.
Brilliant watching the sunset at the nearby marina and watching the sun come on the balcony - gorgeous. Supermarket nearby. And did I mention the view. Lovely

Jaytee
Owner's Response: Thank you Jaytee, for the lovely comments, it is also a great place for a family beach holiday and yes I love the view, you can hear the sea just sitting in the lounge and breakfast on the balcony even in Feb! I am missing it already. Hope to see you next year
