a dream holiday

Not knowing what to expect because 'seeing is believing', we arrived late evening, tired and with no sense of direction.
Kaola opened the door, smiled at us and we were lost for words.
He and Mat drew us in to their home like long lost relatives to the sound of a champagne cork and we realized this is no ordinary B&B.
Everything was immaculate and I felt the apartment should be featured in glossy 'Homes' magazines. With a professional photographer and artist/ writer owning it what else could you expect.
Big fluffy bath towels, a bottle of Chanel No 5 perfume, soap, bottled water in the bathrooms, after 30 minutes we decided we did not want to go home and by the end of our week stay we had decided that if we HAD to go home, then we were surely coming back!
The next day we met fellow guests and were faced with the best breakfast I have experienced, even better than the Rocco Forte Lowry in Manchester. Fresh pineapple, melon, cheeses, ham, hot croissants that Kaola had run down to the local bakers to bring as soon as they were baked, fantastic coffee, orange juice and always the Champagne.
What a joy to sit over breakfast for 2 hours with civilised conversation ranging from the Arts to local tapas bars, from rollerblading and the best places to go to information on places of interest.
And always the feeling of being cherished ...when we came back tired from walking miles and collapsed on the comfy sofa we were covered in wonderful throws and fed tea, coffee and even a bottle of red wine from the 'honesty bar' after a particularly hard days walking.
This is a place a woman travelling alone can happily stay in and feel totally safe and valued. you can't say that about big hotels and some B&Bs!
However customer service like this means that the boys will get booked up quickly so if you want to have an amazing experience then book now!
