Best Summer Holiday, perfect villa!

Review Submitted: September 25, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We arrived to Cyprus in the midst of a heatwave but was also given a warm and personal welcome from Stelios, the owner of our holiday villa who kindly handed us all bottles of water to help keep us cool in the Cyprus heat and a nice little welcome pack. We had an excellent air-conditioned private transfer with Stelios to the villa and on arrival found it to be clean, very comfortable and in a great location and nice and quiet at night even though the bars/restaurants and beach are a mere 5 min stroll away. There's also good entertainment in the bars at night as well as a small waterpark for the older kids another 5-10 min walk away. The villa was perfect and we were even provided with a little splash pool for our 3 year old who had great fun in that! Our "almost" teenage son enjoyed the use of the computer and playstation 2, satellite tv/dvd and the villa was pretty spacious and could have taken another couple. The electric sockets also complied with UK voltage (so don't worry if you do forget your adaptors, although they were also provided as was an iron/ironing board/hair dryers). There is also ample wardrobe space in the villa and car defnitely not needed. We didn't bother with cleaners but can be provided at a reasonable price I believe. Stelios was so friendly and helpful and our questions/requests were quickly dealt with. We would definitely use this villa and book through the owner again. The pool areas gets the sun all day and there's a small bbq and shower outside also. The local beach is excellent, plenty of watersports/boat hire, clean, shallow, turquoise waters. There's a lovely bakers just opened, just 5 mins from the villa (cut through the alleyway just left from the villa/then straight on). Great restaurants/child friendly and I would definitely recommend staying here with families/couples as lovely, friendly resort and no hills to climb! Do take tea/coffee as local supermarkets can be slightly expensive and cabs also pricey but buses frequent and cheap or hire a car for trips out. We had one of our best holidays ever and would definitely return one day. Thanks for a fantastic time and great personal service from Stelios. We loved Pernera so much we only ventured into Protaras one night along the new promenade from Pernera which is a nice stroll, but found Pernera to be the more charming and friendlier of the two resorts, also seemed to be mosquito free (first year ever!) so another plus to go there. The Halls.

We stayed in the villa for a week during June. The villa was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our holiday.

The owner of the villa, Stelios, was very helpful and responded very quickly to the requests we had.

The bars and restaurants of Protaras are just a short walk away.

Everything you could want or need!

We as a family of six, grandparents, parents, a toddler and infant, found this villa to cater for almost every need. The villa was clean and well maintained and we found the owner to be knowledgable and helpful.

One point if you have not visited Cyprus before is that as the pound is now weak against the Euro, staple products such as tea bags, beans, cereal etc work out expensive locally, so consider bringing them with you or hire a car and visit a larger supermarket (although still expensive). Eating out also costs a bit in comparison to other European countries.

However, back to the villa we were all very happy and pleasantly surprised at how well thought out the space and amenities provided were, we loved watching movies and getting a takeaway when the children were to tired to go out at night!

Well recommended

Family of four, staying 4 -18 Apr 2009.
A large, well-appointed detached villa, much as described situated in a small estate of the same. 3 beds, air con, car port, pool from 3 - 5 feet deep, regularly serviced
Was exactly what we wanted, and spacious enough to take another 2 adults comfortably, Would not be so sure if you have non-swimming toddlers.
It is within walking distance of the sea and there is a local bus service, so not taking a car is feasible, with plenty of car hire offices locally if you change your mind.
I will happily recommend this villa,

Gorgeous villa with great facilities. All rooms were of a great size, kitchen & dining area was gorgeous! We came for a wedding and there was plenty of room for 5 adults. Villa seemed well looked after and was really well furnished.

Villa owner was helpful & it was easy to organise.

I would strongly recommend it.

We found this villa after the usual searching through loads of villas and checking reviews. Although this villa had no reviews at the time it was where we wanted to be and looked really nice. As there was no reviews and the villa was cheaper than most we had stayed in we didnt really know what to expect with regards to quality, location and amenities.
We booked direct with Stelios the owner who also arranged our transfer to and from the villa. Even though we arrived at 1 o'clock in the morning Stelios met us at the villa to show us the basics (air conditioning, cooker, satellite tv etc.) then gave us his number for if we had any problems.
The villa was beautiful, it had everything you could ask for, satellite tv, play station, dvd player, computer with free internet, washing machine, dish washer, large dining area for 8 people, large lounge with leather sofas and seating and loungers outside for at least 8 people. And even though there is all your home comforts there is still ample space.
With me was my wife, our 2 children aged 4 & 3 and my mother in law and on a few occassions we had my sister in law and boyfriend over during the day round and on an evening for meals and we were never short of space.
The pool is lovely and warm from 7am until 6pm and gets the sun all day.
We hired a car because we wanted to go into Ayia Napa and drive to the main strip which is a 15 minute walk and my mother in law is 80, but there is certainy plenty of nice restaurants in Penera 5 minute walk and you dont need to have a car.The beaches are beautiful in the area and there are plenty to choose from.
We did go into Ayia Napa a couple of times and also used the car to go to the big supermarket about 3 mile away but mostly enjoyed spending time round the pool and in the villa, you really do not have to leave the villa to have a great time.
We will certainly be returning to this villa and also recommended to my parent and two friends who are all in their late 50's and they also had a fabulous time and they will also be returning.
This is the first holiday we have had where we could quite easily have stayed on for another 2 weeks.

Firstly the Villa owner has been very friendly, approachable & helpful. Taxis were booked for us and any needs catered for upon arrival.

The Villa is very clean and is excellently equipped. Excellent kitchen/dining area & a spacious living area complete with large screen TV, sattelite & DVD player. The computer/internet has turned out very handy for all of us and the pool caters for 8 people comfortably. The location is very quiet yet close to local amenities. Only 5 minutes walk into Paralimni & approx 15 minutes into Protaris although there is a bus stop only 2 minutes from the Villa.

The Villa is sutable for any type of party, whether a family group or friends.

Paralimni is very quiet, suitable for those seeking a peaceful holiday while Protaris is busier (but not rowdy) and will suit those looking for something a little livlier. Both resorts have excellent beaches although the Villa's pool area is equally as good.

Both resorts have an abundance of resturants if you fancy eating out.

Overall an excellent stay at the Villa & we will be coming back again twice next year without any hesitation firstly as a couple then as a family.

I will be reccomending the Villa to family & friends upon my return.
