We were looking for an apartment to accommodate a couple and a single person in two bedrooms with separate access to bathroom and toilet. We also wanted to be fairly central and be able to self cater most of the time. This apartment answered our needs perfectly.
The owner has superb communication skills and was endlessly helpful in making sure that the apartment was suitable. The apartment is rather larger than it appears on the website and is very warm, indeed we turned off the radiators in the three main rooms and it was still warm! The furnishings are comfortable and clean, the kitchen well equipped - we cooked every day for a fortnight with no problems.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the property to friends although we would remind them that there is only one bathroom and one toilet which we think may limit the overall number of guests.
The property is very centrally placed, indeed almost in Parliament Square, and ideal for many public transport links - trams 2, 4 and 6, buses 15 and 115, trolleybuses 70 and 78 and metro line 2. If you are thinking of visiting Budapest and hiring a car, think again for the public transport system is superb and cheap - we bought a fortnightly ticket at 5950 Forints each (about 20 pounds or Euros).
Special note - there is a lovely cake shop round the corner - Szalays, and another on the main road. Do visit the local markets even if you aren't self catering - take bus 15 to Lehel Ter or Tram 2 to Fovam Ter and enjoy a leisurely browse. Make time for morning coffee and cake at the Hotel Astoria (we had hot chocolate which was delicious) where the bill will be less than you think. Otherwise just enjoy the wonderful sights, buildings and people who make Budapest one of our favourite cities. As you may gather we recommend this apartment very highly and would gladly return.
